Sick in Love

Fall For You

Mingyu didn't quite know how to describe it but he might be addicted to kissing Wonwoo after that single ferris wheel ride. As they were waiting for the bus, the younger's eyes kept going back to the older and his lips to be specific. It was quite embarrassing but Wonwoo was his boyfriend so he should be excused.

Mingyu had convinced Wonwoo that they should drop by his place first then head to Shining Diamond. It was honestly because he had just wanted to spend more time with the older and if they were at the club, customers would surely demand his attention and Jonghyun would probably smack him if he flipped a customer off.

"You're quiet. Like thoughtful quiet." Wonwoo said. "Are you thinking about something?"

Mingyu leaned on the older. "I was thinking how Jonghyun hyung will react if I flipped a customer off."

The older scoffed. "He'll probably throw something at you. Soonyoung will mostly likely support you at least."

"He gets in trouble more often so I don't think Jonghyun hyung will waver just because of his support. We'll get fired most likely."

"You can work at Jam Jam then!" Wonwoo grinned.

Mingyu rolled his eyes. "I'm not a morning person so no, thanks."

"I'll wake you up everyday then." Wonwoo whispered as he drew random patterns on Mingyu's hand. "How do you want me to wake you up? I could shake you up. I can even kick you awake." Wonwoo laughed when Mingyu hit him. "Gently of course. I do that to Hansol sometimes. It's effective."

"I'm not that deep of a sleeper so that won't be necesasry. Thanks for the offer though." Mingyu pouted. Couldn't the older come up with a nicer way of waking him up?

"I'm just kidding." Wonwoo laughed again. "I wouldn't do that to you." He added with a teasing smile. "Maybe."

"Shut up." Mingyu pushed the older away. He looked at the window, pout still on his face.

Wonwoo laughed and it was sort of starting to annoy Mingyu but then, the older grabbed Mingyu's arm, smiling cutely at him. The younger rolled his eyes but there was a smile on his face as he looked out again.

--

Wonwoo kept staring at the clock as they lounged around at Mingyu's place. They had arrived earlier than expected so Mingyu thought they could just watch TV or something. Something most likely meaning kissing but there seemed to be no chance of that happening since an ugly clock was getting more attention from Wonwoo than Mingyu.

What did that clock have that he didn't?

"You better replace that." Mingyu mumbled sullenly.

Wonwoo blinked at him. "Replace what?"

The younger pointed at the clock. "That old thing. You'll probably melt it later by how intense you were staring at it. Is it so ugly that's why you're staring at it?"

"I was?" The older asked confusedly, giving the clock another long stare. "Huh, I didn't know I was staring at it."

"You just did." Mingyu sighed. "Do you have to be somewhere else and doesn't know how to say it? You can go if that's the case."

Wonwoo raised an eyebrow at him. Mingyu sighed again, knowing his words came out sharper than he intended and he felt guilty about it. The older smiled slightly before crossing the room, pushing Mingyu down the couch. Wonwoo grabbed Mingyu's hand before sitting down on the younger's lap.

Mingyu's eyes widened, not quite believing what was happening. Wonwoo hummed under his breath, nuzzling the younger's neck. Mingyu couldn't help but relax at what the older was doing. He closed his eyes, just enjoying the sensations as he wrapped his arms around Wonwoo's waist.

"I'm sorry for making you jealous with a clock." Wonwoo kissed his cheek though Mingyu could feel the smirk as well.

Mingyu scoffed, opening his eyes. "I was not jealous of the clock."

"Okay."

"I really wasn't!"

"I said okay, babe."

"You don't believe me."

Wonwoo laughed, burying his face in the crook of Mingyu's neck. "I do. Why wouldn't I believe you?"

Mingyu made a noncommittal sound. "So, why were you staring at my ugly clock? Is Hansol waiting for you?"

Wonwoo shook his head, his hair slightly tickling Mingyu. "Nah. I was looking at it because of you."

"Me? Why me?" Mingyu asked cluelessly.

"You have to work right? What time will we leave?"

"We?"

"Yeah, I'll walk you to work."

Mingyu hummed, burying his face in Wonwoo's hair. He really didn't feel like ending their date yet but the older was being all responsible and worrying about his job. He remembered what Jonghyun had said before when he was absent because he overslept and he couldn't help buy smirk at Wonwoo.

"You're not saying anything." Wonwoo mumbled before pulling back. "Uh, why are you smirking?"

"You know, it's a good thing you're handsome as hell." Mingyu answered, eyes roaming Wonwoo's face contentedly.

The older blushed, mouth opening and closing before he took a deep breath and tilted his head cutely. "Thanks? I think. I'm not sure what being handsome as hell means but it sounds good so thank you."

Mingyu smirked even more, suddenly feeling courageous as he bent down and nipped Wonwoo's ear. "It is. Jonghyun hyung said my boyfriend better be handsome as hell if I'll be absent. You fit the description so I can be absent."

"I uh.." Wonwoo said breathlessly. "I don't think that's what he meant."

Mingyu shook his head, lips moving to trace the older's jawline. "Stop being responsible for a bit. I'm almost never absent anyway."

Mingyu felt the older nod and that was really all the consent he needed before taking Wonwoo's lips in his. He didn't believe in all the clichéd sayings about kissing like fireworks or hearing angels sing but it did seem like time stood still. Mingyu silently hoped that whoever or whatever made his wish come true could make time stop still again because nothing seemed more perfect than this moment.

--

They didn't have that much time to meet when the term started again. Mingyu envied his friends who arranged their schedules to match each other's while he had to either wake up early to go to Jam Jam or wait until Friday for Wonwoo to drop by Shining Diamond. Half the time he was at Wonwoo's workplace, the older was well, working. The same thing happened at the club and Mingyu was getting frustrated.

"You could visit him on Sundays you know." Soonyoung suggested when Mingyu moped about it for the nth time.

Mingyu looked in front to check if their Chemistry professor heard his hyung. No matter how much Junghan tried to lecture Soonyoung about indoor voices, the concept was lost to the other. "That's like his only rest day. I don't want to bother him."

"How is seeing your boyfriend being a bother? It will probably cheer him up actually." Soonyoung said with a knowing smile because unlike Mingyu, Soonyoung had met up with Wonwoo to grab some lunch with Jihoon.

Mingyu didn't answer since the other had a point and opted to write down some notes. He tried to focus on the lecture to try and distract him from thinking about Wonwoo. It wasn't really working well since the sides of his notes were of the older's name. Soonyoung looked at his notes before sighing.

"Have you even told Wonwoo you miss him?" Soonyoung asked. "He was asking how you were doing when we met up."

Mingyu flushed. "Uh, no. It's embarrassing to say that. Besides, I don't want to seem clingy."

"That's not being clingy; it's normal for boyfriends who haven't talked to each other in a while." Soonyoung huffed. "Are you guys cavemen? You both have phones so you could text each other. I think that's what they're made for by the way."

Soonyoung had practically announced that to the whole class and their professor apparently had enough of their noises so they were sent out or class. Normally, Mingyu would be guilty and apologize but he just nodded, quickly grabbing his things before heading out. Soonyoung grinned at their professor, waving as he followed Mingyu out.

"We haven't been kicked out of class in a while." Soonyoung beamed. "I'm off to see if I can sit in Jihoon's class before the professor or Jihoon kicks me out. You going home?"

Mingyu nodded before pausing. "Uh, I think I'll actually drop by Wonwoo's place. He doesn't have anymore classes so you know." There was already a grin forming on his face at the prospect of seeing the older.

His hyung nodded, patti g his shoulder. "Go easy on your reunion, okay? Make sure Hansol isn't there to get scarred."

"Hyung!" Mingyu exclaimed, face beet red.

Their Chemistry professor came out of their lecture hall and started lecturing them about public disturbance and threatening to get them suspended if they don't leave soon. With matching cheeky smiles, Mingyu and Soonyoung left quickly for their boyfriends.

Before Mingyu exited the building, he bumped into someone. The guy made an offended sound as he picked up his bag. Mingyu smiled apologetically, helping the other to get up. The guy gave him a once over before smirking at him, making Mingyu raise an eyebrow skeptically before shrugging it off.

"You owe me coffee." The guy announced.

Mingyu rolled his eyes. "I bumped into you. I don't think it warrants coffee."

"Normally, it doesn't but I could make an exception for you. You could tell me what's the rush over some Americano."

Mingyu stared at the guy who was still smirking unashamedly at him. He wasn't dumb; he knew when he was getting hit on but this guy was so frank about it. It was sort of disarming and the fact that the guy was good looking didn't even help.

The guy was good looking but he had nothing on Wonwoo so Mingyu just rolled his eyes again before turning to leave. He could hear the guy laughing as he walked away and he had the feeling this wouldn't be the last time they'd meet.

--

Hansol was the one to open the door and he looked both relieved and bothered which made Mingyu worry. He walked inside and saw that Seungcheol was there as well, throwing his hands up in the air when he saw Mingyu walk in.

"Thank God you're here and just perfect timing." Seungcheol exclaimed before he nodded at Hansol. "Mingyu's here so hurry up and shower. We're going to be late."

"But..." hansol chewed on his bottom lip before nodding slowly. "Let me just check on hyung first."

"Check on what?" Mingyu asked as his eyes followed Hansol. "Isn't that Wonwoo's room?"

Seungcheol sighed. "Won got sick. He got a fever last night and he hasn't gotten much better since then. Hansol doesn't want to leave his hyung's side but I know he has a presentation today and Wonwoo would kill me if I let his brother miss that."

"H-has he taken any medicine?" Mingyu asked, chewing on his bottom lip in worry. He should have just texted Wonwoo earlier and asked him how he was.

Seungcheol nodded. "Yeah, the next one should be at 8 tonight. I'll be driving Hansol and I so we probably won't be back by then. The kid has a make up class that time."

"I'm not going to that. I'm not leaving hyung alone." Hansol muttered as he pushed past them on his way to the bathroom. "I think his fever got worse."

Mingyu and Seungcheol exchanged glances before Mingyu spoke up. "I can handle Wonwoo. I promise I'll take good care of him so attend your class."

"See? This is what boyfriends are for. Won will be fine." Seungcheol added.

Hansol shrugged. "Let's ask hyung. I'm off to shower."

Mingyu nodded before mumbling an excuse to Seungcheol as he headed to Wonwoo's room. It looked like all of the blankets they had were there and at first Mingyu couldn't see anything but a mound of blankets. It wasn't until Wonwoo lifted his head did the younger find him.

"Hey." Wonwoo croaked out.

Mingyu winced as he crossed the room. "Well, I've certainly heard your voice in a better condition." He stared at the bed, wondering which was the bed. Everything seemed to be blankets. "How do you even have this much blankets?"

Wonwoo tried to laugh, only it sounded like a mix of wheezing and coughing noises. "Can't even laugh properly." He groaned before pulling some blankets closer, revealing the bed. "Most of them are from Jun and Cheol's place."

The younger sat down on the bed, eyeing the random patterns on the blankets. "They have variety at least." He looked at Wonwoo, pushing his hair back. "How are you feeling?"

"Awful. I don't like getting sick." The older replied. "Your hand feels nice though. Just got out of class?"

"Mhm." Mingyu hummed, playing with the older's hair. "Got kicked out of class but yeah."

"Why?" Wonwoo asked, snuggling closer to Mingyu. "You feel really nice so you must be cold."

"Soonyoung hyung doesn't know how to keep his voice down." Mingyu smiled. "Being cold is good right now apparently."

Wonwoo nodded as he shifted closer and Mingyu could see the other's eyes starting to droop. He leaned back on the mountain of blankets, getting comfortable as he started humming. Soon enough, Wonwoo had already fallen asleep. Mingyu smiled at the sight, kissing the older's forehead.

"Won, tell your brother that he can't miss his class!" Seungcheol exclaimed as he walked in the room. He looked at his best friend, smiling sheepishly when the other began sitting up. "Sorry. I didn't think you'd be asleep."

"Obviously." Mingyu muttered.

Wonwoo nudged his boyfriend before turning back to Seungcheol. "Where is he?"

Hansol walked in with a towel in his hand, drying his hair with it. "I'm not going to that class. I'll attend my lecture but not that stupid make up class."

"Sol, you have to go there. Please. Mingyu will take care of me." Wonwoo pouted. "Hyung will worry about you and feel guilty."

"It's just one class." Hansol groaned.

"But it's your core subject so please? Do it for me." Wonwoo pleaded.

Hansol groaned again, cussing under his breath before he nodded. He went to the bed, crossing the blankets and gave Wonwoo a hug, quickly kissing his cheek before giving Mingyu a 'you better take care of my brother' look. Mingyu chuckled, nodding back as he ruffled the younger's hair. He was going to train his future kids to be as cute as these brothers for sure.

"Well, we have to go because we're already running late." Seungcheol said, surprising Mingyu when he went over and kissed Wonwoo's cheek as well. "Get better okay?"

Wonwoo croaked out another laugh, nodding. "Drive safely." He tilted his head and waved to Hansol. "See you later, Hansol. Don't worry about me. I have my nurse with me." He said, flashing Mingyu a grin.

Hansol snorted. "Just focus on getting well. Remember to drink your medicine later."

Seungcheol and Hansol waved at the two of them before leaving. Mingyu could hear them talking as they left the apartment before it was quiet again. Wonwoo was leaning against the younger's arm, drawing shapes along Mingyu's arm. Mingyu watched the other's hand, the scene of Seungcheol kissing Wonwoo's cheek playing on his mind. It didn't seem romantic but he couldn't help but wonder if they had always been just best friends.

"Oh, wait, Minwoo must be suffocating." Wonwoo mumbled before digging through the blankets to pull out the stuffed toy. He grinned as he brought it to his chest. "He's kept me company ever since I got sick."

"Lucky... cat/bunny thing. We should really identify what the heck it is." Mingyu said, patting the toy's head. "You should have texted me when you got sick."

"I wanted to." The older admitted. "But I thought it will be gone quickly but it didn't. I'm sorry."

Mingyu shook his head. "Don't apologize for being sick, stupid." He moved to the middle of the bed, spreading his legs before pulling the older against his chest. "This is way more comfy."

Wonwoo nodded, burrowing into the younger's chest. "I'm a clingy and whiney sick so I apologize in advance."

"I don't mind." Mingyu smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of Wonwoo's head. "What do you have anyway? Sore throat?"

"Mhm. Luckily it wasn't a flu or you wouldn't be allowed near me."

"Why not?"

"Because you'd get it too, silly. Who's the premed student here?"

Mingyu chuckled. "I don't care if I get sick taking care of you. That just means you'll have to take care of me too."

"I did get sick because of you anyway." Wonwoo said, looking up at Mingyu.

Mingyu stared at him distractedly for a bit. How was it possible to be handsome and cute at the same time? He had to shake himself to snap out of it. "What? How is this my fault?"

"Because your kisses were too sweet."

Mingyu opened his mouth, having already prepared a retort only to stop short when he actually processed what Wonwoo said which was well, okay. Okay then.

"I can somehow see you smiling even without looking." Wonwoo hummed slightly. "I'm right aren't I?"

Mingyu chuckled, wrapping his arms tighter around the older. "Shut up. How come you're cheesy even when you're sick?"

"They don't relate with each other." Wonwoo said before yawning. "I hate being sick. I get sleepy all the time."

Mingyu chuckled again. "That's because you have to rest. Go to sleep. I'll be here when you wake up."

Wonwoo nodded a bit before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep. Mingyu sang under his breath, caressing the other's hair as he watched the older sleep. He made a mental list of all the things he'll need to take care of Wonwoo, wondering how he would get up without waking the other. As if sensing Mingyu's thoughts, Wonwoo clung tighter to the younger, the hand which wasn't holding Minwoo grabbing onto Mingyu's shirt. It made the older seem cuter in the younger's eyes and pulled out a smile from him. It looked like Mingyu wasn't going anywhere for a while so with a quick kiss on Wonwoo's forehead, he closed his eyes and slept as well.

Mingyu sat up quickly, having been roughly woken up from his sleep. He looked over at Wonwoo who was sprawled out over the entire bed, one foot by Mingyu's stomach. The younger sighed before smiling amusedly. Well at least Wonwoo didn't seem so perfect anymore. Mingyu leaned down, checking the older's temperature and it seemed like his fever went up again. He covered the older with the blankets before he got out of bed. Wonwoo whimpered, feeling around the bed before his hand found Minwoo and the other pulled the toy to his chest again, relaxing again.

"You are not real." Mingyu whispered, wide grin on his face. "Stop being perfect please." He kissed Wonwoo's cheek, caressing his hair before leaving the room.

--

Mingyu looked around the apartment, wondering what he should do. It was just a little past 5 and it was too early to cook food yet. He glanced at the kitchen and saw that it was clean as well. Without having found anything else to do, he grabbed the chips by the table, making a mental note to pay Hansol when the younger got home and headed over to his bag, deciding to just organize his notes.

Mingyu wasn't aware of time passing by as he did his homework. He was startled to see a giant cocoon waddling to the living room, the cat/bunny stuffed toy peeking out of the blankets. Wonwoo stopped in front of Mingyu before sitting down carefully, leaning on the younger's side. Mingyu hummed, leaning his head against the other as he jotted down a formula.

"You left." Wonwoo whispered.

 Mingyu nodded. "Good observation, Wonwoo."

"You said you'd be there when I wake up." The older muttered, looking up at Mingyu with a pout.

"Well, I was actually sleeping peacefully until someone decided to kick my stomach."

The older gasped, pointing to himself. "I kicked you?!" He winced. "That hurt."

"My poor boyfriend." Mingyu cooed, wrapping an arm around Wonwoo. "You shouldn't raise your voice; your throat will hurt more."

The older nodded, shifting closer to Mingyu.

"Let me check if your fever went up again." Mingyu said, pressing his free hand on Wonwoo's forehead. "It went down, good." He brushed Wonwoo's hair back. "You're sweaty though. I'll just grab something for you to change into then I'll be back."

"Stay." Wonwoo whispered, hugging the younger tightly. "Why do you keep leaving me?"

Mingyu bit his inner cheek, trying to contain his smile at how cute the older was being even if the other wasn't aware of it. "I promise I'll be back." He chuckled when Wonwoo started whining. "You really are clingy when you're sick. I'm tempted to record this moment."

"Mean." Wonwoo pouted even more.

Mingyu quickly leaned down and pecked Wonwoo's pout, unable to resist anymore. "Stop being adorable, okay? It's bad for my mental and emotional health." He removed Wonwoo's arms before standing up, ruffling the older's hair when the other pouted again.

Mingyu decided to take his time in Wonwoo's room, digging through the other's cabinet to find a shirt. He chuckled when he saw a loose white tee with a huge frowning face; Wonwoo would surely look like that when he got back. Mingyu sang softly as he made the bed, folding the blankets and placing them by the foot of the bed. After grabbing a towel, Mingyu decided that he had wasted enough time already and returned to the living room.

Wonwoo had climbed to the couch, looking at Mingyu with what the younger assumed to be a glare but it really just made the older look petulant. Wonwoo lifted a face of paper to his face with 'MEANIE >.<' written on it, putting it down afterwards to stick his tongue out.

Mingyu laughed, taking the paper from Wonwoo as he sat down beside him. "Isn't this from my binder? Tsk, look at you wasting paper."

"What took you so long?" Wonwoo huffed. "Besides, your doodles waste more paper."

"It's my binder anyway so it's okay." Mingyu grinned. "Your wait was worth it, I swear!" He raised the white tee with a proud grin. "See it's you!"

Wonwoo made a face. "Ha ha. You're so funny, Kim."

"Yes, I am, Jeon. Yes, I am." Mingyu laughed as the older swatted at him. "You're as strong as a puppy right now. You even look like one too."

Wonwoo pouted. "You're so mean. Why do I even like you?"

The younger grinned, kissing Wonwoo's cheek. "I don't know but you're not allowed to stop." He blushed after saying it, hurriedly getting up and raising the towel. "I'll uh, just... yeah. Wait here."

Wonwoo nodded, smiling fondly at Mingyu as he curled up into the blanket. Mingyu quickly went to the kitchen, dousing the towel in cold water. His cheeks were still pink; he couldn't believe that he had said that. Granted it was a spur of the moment thing but Mingyu knew he meant it. He didn't know what he would do if Wonwoo stopped liking him. He would probably become bitter and just adopt a hundred cats. Mingyu rolled his eyes at the image, wringing the towel and filled an empty bowl with water before heading back to the living room.

"What's that for?" Wonwoo asked as Mingyu pulled down the blankets around him.

"It helps cool you down." Mingyu eyed the blankets. "How many do you have around you? You looked like a cocoon when you walked in earlier."

"A cute cocoon?" Wonwoo asked with a smile, peeling the other blankets.

Mingyu hummed, putting the bowl down on the floor. "I don't know. I don't usually check out cocoons. You're probably the biggest cocoon though."

"That sounds like you're saying I'm fat." Wonwoo pouted. "I'm not fat."

Mingyu gave him a look as he started wiping the older's face gently. "Jeon Wonwoo, you are the farthest thing from being fat. If you were fat, then everybody's obese already. "

Wonwoo tried to cough out another laugh, pouting when he couldn't. Mingyu chuckled at the disgruntled look as he continued wiping the other's neck and arms. He couldn't help but blush as he asked Wonwoo to remove his shirt so he could wipe Wonwoo's torso. The older nodded but he was taking such a long time that Mingyu gently removed the other's hand and started lifting the shirt himself. He didn't know why he was still blushing; it wasn't like this was the first time he had seen the older half . Mingyu tried to stop his heart from racing as he wiped the towel across the other's torso. Wonwoo had a flush across his chest and the younger didn't know if it was because of the fever or what he was doing. Mingyu hoped it was the second or he would feel bad for blushing like this.

"D-done." Mingyu stuttered, putting the towel down in the bowl. He grabbed the shirt he got earlier and carefully put it on Wonwoo.

"We're so domestic." Wonwoo mumbled shyly as he covered himself in the blankets again. He smiled up at Mingyu. "Thank you."

"It's nothing." The younger answered, pulling the older to his chest, a grin on his face. "I guess we are pretty domestic hm? I like it. It's cute."

"Like me?" Wonwoo asked as he looked up at Mingyu.

Mingyu chuckled. This guy was going to be death of him. "Like you."

Later when Mingyu checked on his phone after Wonwoo had fallen asleep, he was surprised to see a lot of missed calls and messages from Jisoo. He wondered if there was an emergency.
