Day For Us

Fall For You

There was a saying that went 'you never know how important something is until it's gone' and Mingyu didn't think that he would ever believe in a silly old saying like that but there it was.

Mingyu had to shake and pinch himself to make sure he was awake. The dread and pain that he had felt was still there and he had to take a deep breath to remind himself that it was just a dream, a horrible nightmare. It seemed so realistic though and he had spent an hour crying about it when he woke up. After he had calmed down slightly, he tried calling Wonwoo but it only ended up in the older's voicemail. Mingyu tried to be realistic about it to prevent from panicking; it was three in the morning so Wonwoo must be asleep.

To: Freaking Cute Guy with a Deep Voice Wonwoo

Call me when you wake up

Please :((((

Mingyu had sent out the message a few hours ago and somewhere between waiting and worrying he had fallen asleep. The next time he woke up, he was on his couch, feeling very disoriented as he looked around. He checked his phone and saw that he missed a call from Wonwoo not even ten minutes ago. Groaning and mentally cursing himself, he settled for reading the message that the older sent.

From: Freaking Cute Guy with a Deep Voice Wonwoo

I tried calling but you wouldn't answer?

You okay, babe?

Mingyu actually let out a small whimper when he saw the message. Wonwoo was still concerned with him even when their last conversation consisted of Mingyu excusing himself to hang out with Doyoon. Taking a deep breath, he quickly typed out a reply before heading to the shower. He wanted-no, he needed to see his boyfriend.

To: Freaking Cute Guy with a Deep Voice Wonwoo

No

Coming over to see you in a bit!

Mingyu got dressed in a rush, not even checking if what he was wearing matched or not. He ran his fingers through his hair, not having enough time nor patience to run an actual comb through it as his other hand grabbed his phone and wallet. Quickly pocketing his key after locking up, he dashed out of the building, ignoring the bewildered calls from Doyoon.

--

Mingyu was panting hard by the time he had arrived at Wonwoo's place. There was a bus that he could have ridden on but he felt that he would go crazy with all the stops it would make so he ran all the way. With his heart still thundering in his rib cage, he knocked on the door. He felt himself droop slightly when Hansol opened the door.

"Oh, hey." Hansol said, eyeing Mingyu. "Did you just come from a marathon?"

"No." Mingyu panted out. "Can I come in? Where's Wonwoo?"

Hansol continued eyeing him skeptically before letting him inside. Once inside, Mingyu could hear the sound of video games and saw that there was another guest, eyes focused on Hansol as they walked in.

"Chan, this is hyung's boyfriend, Mingyu hyung." Hansol introduced as he gestured to Mingyu. "The kid that's about to get beaten is Chan."

Chan laughed. "Says the loser from the last round."

"You cheated!"

"I did not!"

Mingyu couldn't help but smile at how cute they were being. He could easily see how Chan felt by the way his eyes shone whenever Hansol said something. And if the way Hansol was acting was any indication, he either liked or was starting to like Chan as well.

"Anyway, hyung isn't home. He went out to buy groceries." Hansol said after bantering with Chan. "Uh, want some water? You look tired."

"Top class host you are, Sol." Chan remarked sarcastically.

Hansol rolled his eyes. "You like me anyway." He smirked when he saw the younger blush before pulling Mingyu to the kitchen.

Mingyu chuckled as he got pulled. "You're mean to him."

Hansol shrugged, getting a glass of water before handing it to Mingyu. "I told him I was going to use the fact that he liked me against him whenever I had the chance. He likes the push and pull we're doing anyway."

Mingyu downed the glass of water in one go, returning it to Hansol. "One more please." He leaned against the table. "You like him too, don't you?"

"He knows what I feel." Hansol said unhelpfully, refilling the glass and handing it to Mingyu. "So, how's school lately?"

"Uh, it's fine? Why do you ask?"

"Heavy workload then?"

"No? Not really. Why?"

Hansol glared at him. "Then why haven't you been here in a while? Shining Diamond become a 24/7 club?"

Mingyu swallowed. He had been expecting these questions but from Wonwoo and not Hansol. He really should have expected it though; the two looked out for each other all the time.

"What? Cat got your tongue?" Hansol frowned.

"I've been... distracted. I'm sorry." Mingyu said lamely. He didn't know how he would explain things to Wonwoo yet so he didn't know what he could tell Hansol either.

Hansol rolled his eyes. "What a great answer. Did you know hyung got hospitalized?"

"What?!" Mingyu exclaimed, a cold feeling spreading through him. The image of Wonwoo lying down on the bed came unbidden and it was like Mingyu couldn't breathe.

The younger snickered. "I was just joking."

"Hansol!" Mingyu screamed. "That wasn't a funny joke!"

"You know that it could have happened and you wouldn't know because you were distracted." Hansol deadpanned. "Anyway, I'm sorry. I feel bad even just imagining it."

Mingyu sighed, rubbing a hand on his face. Okay, maybe he deserved that. "Don't apologize. I well yeah, you're right. Did he get sick or anything though?"

"Not that kind of sick." Hansol stared at Mingyu. "Is hyper hyung still mad at little hyung?"

" What? Who?" Mingyu asked confusedly.

"Never mind. The supermarket's the one by the bus stop. Hyung hasn't left that long yet and we sort of needed a whole lot of stuff so he's probably still there." Hansol said dismissively, already turning towards the living room. "Oh and hyung, stop being distracted."

Mingyu gave him a silent nod, waving at Chan who turned when he was leaving. Hansol just stared at him, eyes looking at him knowingly. Mingyu shook off the guilt he was feeling again as he headed towards the supermarket. Hansol definitely knew more than he was letting on.

--

Mingyu didn't know he could feel longing this intensely but he didn't know any other word to describe it besides that. After running through a few aisles in the supermarket, he finally found Wonwoo browsing through the cereals aisle. Even with his back turned, Wonwoo was still capable of making his heart race and making Mingyu feel so much lighter.

"I found you." Mingyu whispered, arms going around Wonwoo's body. He buried his face in the other's back, inhaling the familiar scent and relishing in the warmth the older always had.

"M-mingyu?" Wonwoo asked confusedly. "Is that you?"

The younger nodded, arms tightening. "Hi there."

"Hi?" Wonwoo replied, amusement evident in his tone. "I would like this better if I could see your face."

"In a bit." Mingyu mumbled, as he closed his eyes. It felt so wonderful to hold Wonwoo once again; it was like coming home.

Wonwoo hummed and Mingyu could hear the other putting a box of cereal in the cart. They just stood there until someone cleared their throat. Mingyu very very hesitantly pulled away, smiling shyly at the ahjumma who was staring at the two of them. Wonwoo was blushing, body slightly shifting so he could hide behind Mingyu. It was such an endearingly cute action that the younger couldn't help but break into a grin.

"Have a nice day, ma'am." Mingyu said cheerfully, bowing a bit before grabbing Wonwoo's hand and pushing the cart away.

Wonwoo kept quiet for a few minutes, face still red as Mingyu just went around aimlessly. He was holding his boyfriend's hand so he definitely had better priorities than worrying about grocery shopping. Mingyu had just walked into the chips section to grab a few snacks when Wonwoo finally spoke.

"That was embarrassing." He groaned, hiding a bit on Mingyu's forearm.

Mingyu chuckled. "Why would it be embarrassing? She was there on a bad timing. She's lucky I didn't decide to sweep in and kiss you senseless." He frowned as he thought about it. "I definitely should have done that instead. Ugh, can we get a redo?"

"Oh my God, you're so embarrassing." Wonwoo mumbled before he pulled away and stared at Mingyu.

The younger had started putting some chips on the cart while trying to ignore the stare being directed to him. Their talk was inevitable but he didn't want to do it yet. He wanted to play the cute lovey dovey couple out on grocery shopping just a little bit longer. When staring didn't work, Wonwoo changed tactics and started pinching Mingyu which actually hurt.

"Yah !" Mingyu whined, rubbing his arms. "That hurt, I swear."

Wonwoo stuck his tongue out. "Because you wouldn't pay attention to me!"

"So, you had to pinch me?!"

The older pouted, looking at the younger's arms. "Did I pinch you too hard?"

Mingyu was the one who got hurt and it was totally unfair that Wonwoo was the one pouting and acting all cute. He settled for a sigh before smiling. "It wasn't that bad but it definitely hurt."

"I'm sorry, baby." Wonwoo said before he started placing kisses all over Mingyu's arm.

For a few moments, Mingyu just stood there dazedly, watching his boyfriend shower him with little affections. Something pulled at Mingyu's heartstrings and he pulled Wonwoo even closer before wrapping the older in a tight hug. A quiet sigh of relief escaped his mouth and Mingyu pressed a long kiss on the crown of Wonwoo's head. He could feel rather than see the smile on Wonwoo's face which brought a smile on his own face.

How could anyone ever think that Mingyu would replace Wonwoo with anyone? It was such an impossibility.

"I guess that meant you missed me too?" Wonwoo asked shyly when Mingyu released him from the hug. Light pink was dusting the older's cheek and the younger couldn't help but reach out and caress the soft skin.

Mingyu smiled softly, nodding a bit. "Of course I missed you. Did you think I wouldn't?"

Something in Wonwoo's expression dropped and the smile on the older's face now had a hint of sadness. Mingyu realized how closely similar this conversation was to his dream and he dreaded to hear what the older would say.

"I-i wasn't sure to be honest." Wonwoo admitted, looking down at the ground.

It was strange but at that moment, Mingyu would rather see the coldness in the other's expression rather than this unsure and insecure look. The look sent a stab straight to Mingyu's heart. "Oh, Wonwoo."

The older chuckled embarrassedly as he kept his eyes downcast. "Yeah, I sound pitiful. Don't know how Hansol put up with it."

Mingyu wondered how long Wonwoo had been missing him. He remembered the feeling of holding Wonwoo after a while and the feeling of joy and relief that threatened to tide him over; was that how the older felt as well? And what was this pitiful nonsense? Wonwoo definitely wasn't pitiful and Mingyu was prepared to argue with anyone who thought so.

"You're not pitiful, not at all." Mingyu said thickly. There was that choking feeling again and Mingyu felt like he might cry. At the supermarket of all places. He swallowed down the lump of emotion as he pressed his forehead against his boyfriend's. "I missed you very much, Jeon Wonwoo."

The answering smile he got from Wonwoo actually made him tear up a bit; it was so beautiful, so trusting and pure that Mingyu felt unworthy but it was directed to him and he was going to take full advantage. "I missed you so so much as well, Kim Mingyu."

--

"Mingyu?"

"Hm?"

" I know you miss me and trust me, I feel the same way but I can't grab things with you clinging like this."

Mingyu pulled away just a bit, frowning when he got a flat look from his boyfriend. "You're mean for someone who says he missed me." Mingyu complained before pulling away while keeping an arm around Wonwoo's waist. This had to be acceptable already

Wonwoo chuckled, bumping his hip against Mingyu's. "I really did miss you. It's just hard to get things when we're that attached to each other."

Mingyu grinned at that, walking along the older as they grabbed the things Wonwoo and Hansol needed. It was oddly domestic and the smile wouldn't leave Mingyu's face. They would have some arguments about which brand to buy and the younger would always lose because he was too busy smiling and staring at Wonwoo to actually make a valid point. Wonwoo would stick his tongue out before grinning cutely every time he won so Mingyu counted it as a win as well.

"Are Jihoon and Soonyoung okay now?" Wonwoo asked as they were about to pay.

Mingyu frowned. He had nearly forgotten about that. It happened a lot when he was with Wonwoo; his world would just consist of the older and no one else. "Uh, I don't know." Mingyu answered.

Wonwoo frowned. "Soonyoung looked pretty mad when he went over yesterday."

"Nah, he's just-" Mingyu paused, looking at Wonwoo. "Did you say yesterday? He went over your place yesterday too?!"

"Yes?" Wonwoo answered confusedly. "Why are you yelling?"

"I'm not." Mingyu said sulkily. Why was it that everyone else saw his boyfriend before he could?

"I don't even know how he found my address. Did you give it to him?"

"Probably activated the tracker on Jihoon hyung's phone."

Wonwoo's eyes widened. "He has a tracker on Jihoon's phone? Wow."

Mingyu groaned. "Why are you so cute today? I can't even sulk properly."

"What? Why are you sulking?" Wonwoo asked, a slight pout on his lips.

"Unfair." Mingyu said as he poked the other's lips. "Anyway, Junghan hyung said that Soonyoung hyung wouldn't use the tracker since they were fighting but guess he was wrong."

Wonwoo raised an eyebrow. "Why were they fighting anyway?"

Mingyu looked at Wonwoo to see if the older was bluffing but he seemed genuinely confused. Did that mean Jihoon didn't say anything? He opened his mouth to explain before closing it again. Explaining meant well, completely explaining everything and he didn't want to ruin their time together just yet. Confrontations could go two ways and Mingyu wasn't completely sure how Wonwoo would react so he wasn't ready yet.

"Mingyu?" Wonwoo asked, poking him.

"Uh, sorry." Mingyu said. He must have been thinking longer than he thought. Wonwoo was still looking at thin, waiting for an answer. "I'll explain but not yet, okay? I want to enjoy this day with you."

"But..."

"Please. I'll explain everything tonight just... just let me have this day for us."

Wonwoo looked like he wanted to argue but he finally nodded. There was a look of resigned sadness on his features but when Mingyu blinked, it was gone and the older was back to being cute. Maybe Mingyu had just imagined it.

"So, what do we do next, baby?" Wonwoo asked after they had paid for the groceries. Mingyu had paid for half despite the other protesting; he planned on spending a lot of time in the older's apartment after all. He just hoped that after telling Wonwoo everything he would still be able to.

Mingyu blushed, insides positively melting at hearing that pet name again. "Anywhere you want."

"You're the one who's all 'day for us' but you don't even have a plan." Wonwoo said, rolling his eyes. "You just made what you said up on the spot, didn't you?"

The younger chuckled. "I'm an 'in the moment' kind of guy."

"You sound like Seungcheol when he's picking up girls." Wonwoo frowned. "Don't use that line on me."

"I won't." Mingyu agreed easily, leaning down to place a kiss on Wonwoo's cheek. "Sorry."

"Okay." Wonwoo beamed, making the younger melt again. How the hell did Mingyu survive without that smile?

The two of them dropped by a Chinese restaurant, both too lazy to actually cook food, to order something the four of them could eat since Chan was still surely at their place. The couple continued catching up with each other as they headed back but it was mostly Wonwoo talking. Mingyu knew it but it still surprised him how much of his time Doyoon had taken up to the extent that Mingyu could only share things about his classes. Wonwoo looked at him strangely and the younger had the feeling that this was going to be part of their talk for sure.

"We're back." Wonwoo called out after Mingyu opened the door for him. The older chuckled, kissing Mingyu's cheek. "Such a gentleman you are."

"Hey, hyung." Hansol said, taking the bags from Wonwoo, pausing to give Mingyu a look before he went to the kitchen. "Chan, help Mingyu hyung out too."

"What was that about?" Mingyu wondered.

Wonwoo chuckled but he looked slightly embarrassed. "Uh, you're not Hansol's favorite person right now. I'm sorry."

Chan walked towards them, a wide grin on his face. "Welcome back, hyungs. Your brother is a sore loser by the way." He commented, looking at Wonwoo before taking the bags from Mingyu. He checked the contents, eyes widening. "Woah! Look at all these chips!"

Wonwoo glared at Mingyu. "It's this idiot's fault."

"I'm going to be here a lot and so my snacks should be here too." Mingyu argued, smiling sherpishly. "I'll help do the dishes in exchange?"

"You better." Wonwoo said, leaning into his boyfriend's side.

"The two of you are so sweet." Chan commented, heading to the kitchen. "I'm jealous."

Wonwoo grinned, pulling Mingyu to the couch. "Hear that? Someone's jealous of us."

The younger rolled his eyes, settling down on the couch as he pulled the older to his lap. "The two of us are good looking lads; I'd say we are worthy of Chan's jealousy."

"Chan isn't jealous of our looks, stupid."

"I know but I want to point it out too." Mingyu chuckled when the older swatted him.

Chan and Hansol emerged from the kitchen soon enough and Hansol took one look at the couple before sitting on Wonwoo's lap. Mingyu groaned slightly; Wonwoo was light but Hansol and Wonwoo together were a bit heavy.

"Sol, get off. We're heavy." Wonwoo said reprimandingly.

Hansol leaned back as if he couldn't hear what his hyung said. "Hyung, I lost to Chan today! I totally ughh."

Chan laughed, poking Hansol's thigh. "See, hyung, sore loser. It's okay, Hansol. I'll beat you again next time so you're more used to it."

"Shouldn't you be studying and not just practicing video games? You better make sure you get in Pledis as well." Hansol said.

"Oh, I'll get in for sure. Wouldn't want you to miss me too much. " chan said with a wink.

Wonwoo laughed as Hansol blushed before tackling Chan and the two started play fighting. Mingyu let out a small whine when his boyfriend slid off his lap as well and just watched the two youngest roll around the floor. Hansol and Chan only stopped when someone knocked at the door. Mingyu got up to open the door, paying for the food as well before heading back to the couch.

"Food!" Hansol and Chan exclaimed at the same time, lunging for the food in Mingyu's hands.

"They look like they haven't been fed for a long time." Mingyu commented, watching the two pick which one they want to eat. He smiled when Hansol handed the sweet and sour pork to Wonwoo before Chan could reach it.

"Thanks, Sol." Wonwoo grinned as he took the food. "They forget about eating when they're playing video games so they're probably starving right now."

Mingyu ended up with fried dumplings and actually looking like he wasn't very hungry though he hadn't had anything yet. Watching Hansol and Chan together was very amusing and he could see that Wonwoo thought so too. Chan ended up cleaning up since he was the youngest but Hansol helped out as well because apparently, he couldn't stand the sight of a messy living room. Wonwoo had rolled his eyes at the excuse but Mingyu covered his mouth before the older could say anything. That ended up with the two of them making faces at each other until Hansol threw a cushion at them, complaining about overly sweet couples. Mingyu only grinned proudly before placing a kiss on Wonwoo's nose.

"Disgusting." Hansol said with a scoff, expression softening as he looked at the smile on Wonwoo's face.

--

Hansol had left to walk Chan to the bus station but Wonwoo said that his dongsaeng would probably walk Chan all the way home. Mingyu hummed to let the older know that he was listening but he was too lazy to move otherwise. The two of them were draped across the couch with Wonwoo leaning against Mingyu's chest and the moment seemed too perfect so the younger didn't want to ruin it by moving. He threaded his fingers through the older's hair, noting that it was getting long already.

"Someone needs a haircut soon." Mingyu whispered, pulling on the locks gently.

Wonwoo hummed, drawing patterns on the younger's chest. "Too lazy."

"Of course you are." The younger chuckled.

The older raised his head slightly, looking into Mingyu's eyes. "Are we going to talk about it now?"

Mingyu stiffened slightly before he shook his head, tightening his hold on the other's waist. "Not yet." He relaxed a bit when the older nodded. "Don't have anything to do today?"

"Our professor's on some kind of trip so no classes." Wonwoo answered before his face broke into a grin. "I know what I want to do!"

"What is it, baby?" Mingyu grinned back, the older's smile too contagious.

Wonwoo paused, blushing beet red before he seemed to snap out of it. "Let's go on that movie date!"

Mingyu raised an eyebrow at the blush, shrugging it off. "Yes, the last one among cliché dates we haven't gone to. Not that I didn't like our dates! I love them for real!" He hurriedly added when the older frowned. "I mean it!"

"Right." Wonwoo said, rolling his eyes as he got up. "You're paying by the way."

"Okay, sure." Mingyu said easily, getting up as well. And because he was feeling a bit cheeky, he leaned down to whisper in the other's ear. "Whatever you want, baby." He whispered huskily.

As Mingyu had expected, Wonwoo blushed wildly before muttering an excuse about getting changed and fleeing to his room. The younger just stood there with a satisfied smile, content with waiting for a while. At least, he finally found out what pet names were really for.

--

The two of them ended up choosing a random movie, laughing at how dumb they were after realizing that they picked a foreign movie. There were no subtitles too so they were at a total loss.Mingyu was about to apologize to Wonwoo since he was the one who bought their tickets but the older just pulled him to the back with a smirk on his face.

"I'm sorry." Mingyu whispered though there wasn't anyone nearby. Wonwoo was probably thinking that it was a waste to watch the movie and they would just sleep it off. "At least it's cold here?" He offered when the older just stayed quiet.

Wonwoo rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Mingyu."

Mingyu nodded, feeling chastised. He just sat there stiffly, glaring at the screen, picking up a few words here and there but not enough to actually make sense of it.

"You're so dumb." Wonwoo hissed, facing the younger fully with his arm resting on the chair.

"I what?" Mingyu asked confusedly. "Not even going to try to watch the movie?"

"Nope. We can't really understand it, can we?"

"Yeah but.."

"I would rather make out with my boyfriend honestly."

Mingyu choked on nothing and gawked at the older. He had never heard Wonwoo be that forward and it was sort of... well, hot and he was sure he was blushing already. The older was looking back at him with an amused expression, head cocked to the side as he watched Mingyu's expression.

"Not gonna grant me my wish then?" Wonwoo said after Mingyu just stared at him for a while. He made it sound like he could care less about the reply but the younger could see the tinge of sadness at the corners of his eyes.

Not one to disappoint, Mingyu shrugged, leaning closely as he grabbed the back of Wonwoo's neck. "Just making sure you meant it." He whispered before kissing the older.

Wonwoo smirked against his lips, playfully tugging on Mingyu's lower lip as he pressed on closer. Even though the arm rest was digging in their torsos, Mingyu couldn't care less and focused more on swallowing every whimper, every exhale that Wonwoo made. Maybe he was being too eager but it had been days since he last felt Wonwoo's lips against his and it was like a breath of fresh air after being under water for so long. Mingyu had to take in as much as he could or he would die. The heated kisses would have continued if Wonwoo hadn't placed a hand on Mingyu's thigh, a silent reassurance that he was there; he wasn't going anywhere. The younger let out a gentle cry at that, the sound muffled by the gentle movement of Wonwoo's lips. Kissing Wonwoo suddenly felt like the gentle breeze on a hot summer day, playful caresses here and there, not too overwhelming but enough to soothe the heat you felt. It was amazing and perfect that Mingyu could feel this satisfied from this.

When the need to breathe became too much, Wonwoo pulled back, panting slightly but he stayed close enough to press butterfly kisses along Mingyu's neck. They weren't just kisses but physical whispers 'I miss you', 'I'm here' and something more that gave the younger a choking feeling like there were too much emotions and he wanted to let them all out. Mingyu opened his mouth to say those words before closing it again; it didn't feel right just yet. He would have to wait some more so for now, he settled on lacing his free hand with the hand on his thigh, gently squeezing.

"I'm not going anywhere, Mingyu." Wonwoo whispered, looking up at Mingyu before pressing a long kiss by the juncture of the younger's neck and collar bone. The warmth of that kiss stayed even when they had sat up properly, just leaning on each other, the imprint seared on his skin.

If Mingyu had to keep a memory, he was keeping this.

--

Mingyu didn't want the night to end. It was such a clichéd thought that he could practically hear Junghan screaming about it. Clichéd or not, it was true. The night was too amazing and he didn't want it to end just yet.

After 'watching' the movie, the two of them headed to the café they ate at along with Jihoon and Soonyoung and as promised, they ate some cheesecake and the chocolate mousse offered. They fed each other, occasionally putting some icing on the other's cheek which will of course get afterwards. It was all really nice and cute and Mingyu wanted that to be this night's last memory.

One look at Wonwoo though and he knew that they were about to talk about things. The older was still smiling but he had a more sober look on his face as he unlocked the apartment. Mingyu made his way to the couch while Wonwoo went to Hansol's bedroom, spending a few minutes chatting with the younger before returning. When the older came back, he sat down beside Mingyu, close enough to touch but far enough that Mingyu felt uneasy.

"So, let's talk." Wonwoo said softly. He tilted his head to look at the younger, worry evident in his features.

Mingyu took a deep breath. "D-didn't Jihoon hyung say anything?"

The older blushed a bit before shaking his head. "N-no, did he say anything to you?"

"No. What? Is he supposed to?" Mingyu asked confusedly.

"Uh, I guess not." Wonwoo pouted. "We're talking about you so don't change the topic. What's kept you so busy these days?"

Mingyu took a deep breath but it wasn't helping. His nerves felt like they were pulled taut so he reached across to take the other's hand in his. "Jisoo hyung met a new friend and we got really close...?"

Wonwoo frowned. "Why are you asking me? Is this what Jihoon was muttering about? He was talking about flirty.. bastards." He paused as what he just said sank in. "W-was that you and that guy?"

Mingyu could feel the older's eyes boring holes into his head and he had no choice but to nod. "Y-yeah, I guess." He cleared his throat. "I mean yeah it is."

Wonwoo recoiled as if he was slapped, pulling his hand back and curling himself into a ball. "What?" The question sounded so helpless and wounded.

Mingyu shifted closer, trying to hold the older. "Wait, listen to me."

"Why should I?! What the hell? It was just for a while too! Do you fall that quickly?" Wonwoo exclaimed, jumping to his feet.

"Wonwoo, listen to me first!" Mingyu exclaimed as he got up as well. "We really weren't doing anything wrong! He's naturally flirty and doesn't know the concept of personal space. If you just met Do-"

"I don't want to meet him but thanks for the offer." Wonwoo glared at him. "He's naturally flirty but you're not. That's why Jihoon calls you emotionally constipated. Why didn't you resist him?"

"Wonwoo-"

" Oh my God, Mingyu, and you went on a date with me today! We even got groceries together!" Wonwoo yelled as he paced across the living room, chewing on his bottom lip. "We at the movies! What the hell was today for then?!"

Mingyu winced, unused to the older screaming. Wonwoo was always calm and a bit reserved so he wasn't sure how to handle this situation.

Wonwoo suddenly stopped and Mingyu was more than shocked that the older was crying. "I know what today is for. How could I not see it?"

"Wait, what?"

"You're breaking up with me." Wonwoo said, choking up a bit afterwards. "T-today was our goodbye, wasn't it?"

Mingyu just stood there, jaw falling open in shock. Wonwoo must have taken it as a sort of confirmation because he started sobbing, falling down to the floor as sobs racked his body. Mingyu quickly snapped out of it and crouched down beside his boyfriend.

It was awful feeling like this. Mingyu felt so hopeless as he held Wonwoo close to him. He couldn't do anything but this since he knew he was the reason for those tears. He remembered how he promised Seungcheol never to hurt his best friend; maybe that meant that promises really were made to be broken. Mingyu's throat constricted because that eas a promise he had wanted to keep but he couldn't. Disappointment and guilt churned like acid in his stomach, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. There was a ray of light shining close to them and Mingyu knew that Hansol was looking from his room. Soon enough Hansol would come out and take his brother away and Mingyu couldn't have that happening.

"I know you won't believe me but I'm not breaking up with you. I'm not leaving you." Mingyu said thickly, surprised at his hoarse voice. He felt his face and saw that he was crying as well.

Wonwoo looked up, wiping some of his tears away. He sniffed a bit before speaking. "You're crying."

It was such a Wonwoo thing to say that Mingyu chuckled wetly. "Yes but so are you."

" Why are you crying?" Wonwoo asked, eyes looking very confused. There was a spark of hope in them but it was cooled, like the older didn't want to even hope.

Mingyu smiled sadly, thumbing the other's tears away. "My boyfriend's crying because of me; why wouldn't I cry?"

Mingyu thought that the older would be happy because of what he said but Wonwoo had cried a fresh batch of tears but he clung to Mingyu so the younger counted it as a small victory. He could distinctly hear Hansol scoffing before closing his door loudly. It made Wonwoo glance at his dongsaeng's door before looking back at Mingyu with a serious glint in his eyes.

"You said you're not leaving me, right?" Wonwoo asked seriously.

Mingyu nodded though he was a bit confused by the shift of events quickly. "Yeah and I mean it."

"Okay, let's go then." Wonwoo said as he got to his feet, pulling the younger along.

"Go where?" The younger asked even when he knew that they were headed to Wonwoo's room.

"I'm going to make sure the bastard knows you belong to me."

"What?"

Wonwoo just nodded determinedly, pushing Mingyu to the bed as he climbed after him. Mingyu felt his heart leaping to his throat as the older straddled him. Wonwoo wiped at his eyes quickly before leaning down to on the younger's neck. Mingyu couldn't help but groan even as realization dawned on him. If his boyfriend wanted to leave hickeys to make sure other people knew he was taken, who was he to complain?

"There is absolutely no one in this world that I would choose over you." Mingyu whispered later on.

Wonwoo hummed, tracing the three hickeys he left. "Okay."

"I mean it, idiot." The younger said with a mildly offended tone.

"I know you do."

"Yah!" Mingyu exclaimed as he frowned.

Wonwoo chuckled, bringing himself closer to place another kiss on Mingyu's lips. "I'm yours and you're mine. Make sure the bastard gets the message, okay?" He said it playfully but the warning remained clear.

Mingyu nodded, smiling happily. "I promise." He pecked the older's nose. "Can I get another kiss?"

"You're greedy, Kim."

"Just for you, Jeon."
