“Oh, its nice to see you again.” Gu Li greeted as the familiar lady faced her, then the lady smiled.

“Same here, miss Zhang, you look gorgeous.”

“Thank you, well despite the fact that I’m not dressed in long gowns, I actually feel comfortable.” She chuckled; Cynthia smiled and patted her hand.

“It’s always nice to stand out, besides, if you can wear it, why not?”

Gu Li chuckled then she remembered Sehun who was still standing beside her, she started to introduce him to her new friend.

Xiumin and Chen blinked as Gu Li pleasantly chatted with Kris’s mother, even Kris did not know what to do.

“Kris,” Luhan jutted his lips towards the other males nearby, all their eyes were on Gu Li’s back- behind.

Kris muttered something in Chinese before walking towards the two ladies and Sehun.

“I can almost hear him growling.” Luhan mused, Lay could only shake his head.

Gu Li looked up as she felt Kris settle his arm low on her waist, she paused and glanced at him.

“Mom, I didn’t know you were attending.” He said carefully, he felt Gu Li look at his mother again.

“Mom?” She voiced, Cynthia Wu grinned and offered her hand.

“I forgot to mention that I think you know my son. Sorry about that, dear.” She smiled, Kris doubled over, Gu Li laughed lightly.

“I guess that makes us even.” She nodded, Mrs. Wu chuckled as Gu Li shook her hand.

“But, it’s a pleasure to finally be able to meet you, Gu Li.” Mrs. Wu smiled knowingly before stepping away from them, Kris bit his lip.

“That was odd, but you’re mom is so beautiful.” Gu Li stated, Kris could only smile before offering his arm.

“Can we talk outside?”

“How long does my son plan to keep this secret of his from us?” Mrs. Wu asked her son’s friends. Chen winced.

“Well, we’re not sure. Gu Li…recently had an accident.” Xiumin nodded, Lay looked up.

“She lost her memory for quite some time, auntie.” He explained.

“Is she okay now?” Mrs. Wu frowned, the males nodded.

“Remember when Kris ge was in the news for yelling at the chief of police?” Tao asked, the elder blinked, then she smiled and rubbed her palms together.

“I better look for my husband.” She grinned before excusing herself.

“Why do I hear wedding bells when she said that?” Luhan winced.

Gu Li put her arm down as they stepped into the outdoor garden, she rubbed her arms due to chilly night air but her eyes were focused on the flowers.

“Gu Li,”

She faced Kris, just then he wrapped his suit coat around her tightly, his hands lingered on her shoulders briefly before he stepped back.

“Is everything okay?”  He asked.

“No, to be honest, everything is not okay. Here I am, attending some party I don’t know what for and just a few days ago, I get everything back. I get my memories back, my friends, I remember my past, I remember how everything went before I was taken. And…then I see you, and I try to reach out but you..” Her brows furrowed.

“~ confuse me. And I know you always have, but back then I was clear of what….you wanted and what I wanted and now, I try to talk to you, but you…” She took exhaled before looking away.

“I just..dont know what to think or do about you…-us.” She said without facing him, Kris brows furrowed.

“I didn’t know how to approach you, Li. you cried when you couldn’t remember Jill, and sometimes you flinched when I tried to talk to you. And I figured you just needed space.”

She shook her head.

“I didn’t want to force you to remember. I told you I would wait.” Kris stepped to her and took both of her hands.

“But the moment you sidestepped Haera from the party I knew you were back.”

“And you decided to just let me go that night, nice.” She nodded, Kris couldn’t help but smile and just pulled her in his embrace.

“I didn’t know what to do with you, I wanted to kiss you back then but I realized maybe you weren’t ready yet. You don’t how hard it was to let you go and see you remembering everyone.”

She smiled before pulling back.

“Well, I’m back now. And I’m pretty sure you wont be needing to speak to Haera out of politeness.” She mused, Kris just captured her lips with his.

“We can discuss that after I formally introduce you to my mom, who’s probably going to scold me for not telling her about you.”
