Mark winced as Kyungsoo got in the car, the other male slammed the door shut. Sehun whistled lowly in amusement.

“It has just been a week since she got back from that resort getaway, now this!?” Kyungsoo grumbled, Mark and Sehun bumped fists.

“This is not funny.” Kyungsoo pointed out as Mark started the Range Rover again.

“How is this….” Sehun sighed as he picked up the newspaper.

“Even possible, I know.” Mark nodded, Kyungsoo grunted.

Gu Li pursed her lips as she stepped in the elevator, people have been talking about her and Kai. Not that it made her uncomfortable, she wanted people to talk about her.

But it was Kris.

She shook her head again as the doors opened.

“Why did he have to~” She muttered lowly, then she noticed three males waiting for at the lobby. She paused and winced.

“You.” DO stabbed his finger at her direction. Sehun raised the paper and narrowed his eyes at her.

“I just drove them here.” Mark shrugged.

“Samsung’s Kim Jongin and Zhang Empire’s CEO seen together shopping for baby clothes?!” DO accused, Gu Li took him by the arm and pulled the two with her.

“Just because you dragged us in this park, doesn’t mean he’s not going to grill you.” Sehun nodded as he sat down on the benches, Mark chuckled before DO sent him a look.

“Pregnant? Can’t you get any more creative?” DO sighed.

“Well, you got any better ideas?” Gu Li replied.

“Well, yes! How about….Using any of these two idiots as fathers?!”

“Hey, don’t bring me down with this.” Sehun shook his head.

“I wouldn’t really mind.” Mark nodded.

Gu Li sighed, she sat beside Sehun and just buried her face in his arms. Mark gave DO a pointy look. Sehun suddenly sat up.

“This isn’t the thing that’s bothering you, huh?” He spoke up, DO sat beside Gu Li.

Mark’s brows rose up.

“A rumor like this wouldn’t even reach your ears.” Sehun sat up and studied her face, Gu Li sighed.

“What is it, Li?” Kyungsoo asked, Mark leaned forward.

“I…don’t know…Lay ge’s ignoring me, my parents are flying over and agung’s…” She trailed off.

“And yet all those don’t even bother you, now spit it out.” Mark stated, Kyungsoo just wrapped one arm around her.

“Is this the part where you tell us that it’s about Kris Wu of Wu Empire or do we have to wait a little longer?” Sehun pointed out.

DO and Mark blinked.

“I…” Gu Li bit her lip, DO smiled to himself.

“Feelings and Gu Li, never a good match.”

Mark just smiled, he stood up and leaned down to kiss her forehead.

“But with that guy, Li, you don’t even need to think.” Sehun mused before standing up, then the two left.

Kyungsoo shook her head at the two, Gu Li looked at him.

“He…”

“We…all could see how he has feelings for you, Li. We were surprised you didn’t notice.”

She turned quiet and studied her palms.

“Look, Li, I know you don’t have time for this because you’re supposed to be pregnant, but..give him a chance. I’ve known you all my life and somehow I have the feeling that this guy…is right for you.”

Kris paused when his phone started ringing, his eyes widened when he saw the screen.

“Gu Li.” He answered.

“Hi, ge, so….I was checking my..well, I was looking through my invites, then I remembered Jill inviting me to this event she has at her school today.”

“Right, they have a Sports fest event today.” Kris replied with a smile.

“She wouldn’t ignore me if I came, right?”

Kris chuckled.

“I’ll have someone pick you up~”

“No, it’s fine, ge. I’ll be there. See you.”

Gu Li stepped out of the conference room with her cousin, Lay was busy checking his phone.

“Ge~”

“Agung’s coming over for dinner later, do you think you can ask Kai to come too?”

She paused, but she nodded.

“Good, then, I’ll see you later.”

“Ge, wait.” She grabbed his arm before he could turn away.

“I know this all so sudden~”

“Sudden? Mei, you could have taken care of yourself better.” Lay shook his head in disappointment.

“I’m sorry, but you have to understand~”

“I understand, I’m just disappointed in you, I thought you were smarter than this.”

“As if marrying Chaerin’s a good deal too?” Gu Li replied.

“Don’t bring that into this, Gu Li.” Lay said darkly.

Gu Li just closed and turned away from him.

Gu Li slid down from her Audi, she was already at Jilliane’s academy, she had a fresh basket of tulips and peonies with her as she walked towards the crowd of adults and children at the outdoor gymnasium.

She started looking around for Kris and Jill.

What am I thinking?

Can it get any awkward than this?

Then she smiled as she saw the two sitting.

Despite most of the female population in the area had eyes for Kris, he only had eyes for his daughter. Gu Li couldn’t help but feel her cheeks redden.

“Hi.” She said as she walked to them, Kris welcomed her with a smile.

“Not really into sports, huh?” Gu Li started, Jill looked up at her. Kris slowly stood up and made Jill sit instead.

“I’ll get you two something to eat.” Kris nodded before leaving. Gu Li nodded and sat beside Jill.

“I’m sorry, Jill. Unnie…Well, sometimes I get stuck in these major issues and I have to make a decision to…resolve it.”

Jill faced her, her brows furrowed.

“Why were you so mad at me?” Gu Li took her hand.

“Because I wanted you to be with daddy, not someone else.” Jill said lowly, Gu Li paused at the girl’s words.

“The moment when you showed up unnie, I knew. I knew daddy would fall for you. And that you’re perfect for him too.”

“Jill, sweetie, I~”

Jilliane just smiled and took the flowers from her.

“So, please choose my daddy, unnie.”

Then Kris appeared carrying a box of fresh donuts and juice for Jill.

“I think teacher Song’s calling me.” Jill stood up and ran towards her classmates, Gu Li was still speechless, she just leaned back on the chair and stared at her heels.

“She seems..better.” Kris nodded.

“Yeah, Kris…I should go, this is a parents’ event, I shouldn’t have,”

Kris stood up and smiled.

“Don’t be like this. I don’t want us to be awkward, Li. It’s still me.” Kris met her gaze, Gu Li couldn’t reply.

“This is the problem, it’s you, Kris. People think I’m pregnant with Kai’s child, and yet you still want me. Why? I don’t..understand you.”

Kris smiled, he took her hand and pulled away from the crowd.

“This is where you’re losing me, do you think I cant see through you?” Kris asked.

“I know you’re not pregnant, you just want the attention to go to you to save Lay.”

Gu Li stared at him.

“And pregnant or not it doesn’t matter, I want you, just you.”

“Kris, I~”

“Well, if there should be some thinking over here, you should be doing it. Not me.” Kris explained.

“What do you mean?”

“Gu Li, I have a daughter, I’m a single dad.” Kris nodded.

“So?” Gu Li blinked, Kris just raised his brows at her, then she started to smile.

“Now this is getting weird.” She nodded, Kris just chuckled and kissed her cheek.

“You are starting to do that a lot.” Gu Li pointed out.

“Well, I don’t see you protesting.” He shrugged.

“Heol!” She shook her head.

Kris just smiled.

“Kris, I don’t know if I can..come to you, I just have to fix things right now. I mean I cant be with you at the same time be pregnant with Kai’s baby.”

“As long as you don’t have to marry Kai, it’s cool.”
