Entry 46
That Particular Boy22.09.2014 (Monday)
Squishy seemed to be spaced out today, I hope he's feeling fine now. I just wish he can share his troubles with me.
"Hi oppa!" I chirped brightly, a huge grin decorating my face.
"Oh hey." Squishy returned the gesture, but with a lack of emotion, which made me cringe.
"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly when I heard him sigh.
"Nothing much. Just tired I guess." He shrugged.
"Then you should have stayed home to rest!"
"I'll be fine."
I placed a palm on his forehead to test his temperature. It was normal, so he wasn't ill. There weren't any customers at that time, so he went inside to take a seat. Sighing for the umpteenth time, he dropped his head on the table and groaned.
"What's troubling you?" I joined him at the table and moved my chair closer to him.
"Nothing." He muttered. "Actually, there's something I need to tell you."
"What is it?" I perked up, since what he wanted to say seemed important because of the serious expression he was wearing.
He hesitated for a bit before opening his mouth to tell me that it was nothing once again, "Forget it, it's not important anyway."
"Are you sure? If anything is troubling you, you can share it with me."
"It's really nothing."
“Why don't you rest and I’ll take over for today?”
“No, it’s alright, I can do it.”
For the rest of the day, he was dazed and stuck in his thoughts. I took the liberty to help him with some of the customers, but he remained the way he was throughout his whole shift. I honestly wish I could help him in one way or another…
