Entry 7
That Particular Boy29.07.2014 (Tuesday)
No Kai, you will never be a successful spy or paparazzi when you can’t even hide yourself properly.
After the food-fight we had on the previous day, I was very tempted to grab food items and throw it at Squishy, but of course we couldn't make another mess out of the kitchen. Besides, my wallet was practically crying after paying for the supplies we wasted, it couldn't handle another hit like that.
And after what felt like forever, we finally got rid of the awkward tension between us. I didn't know how it happened, it just disappeared after the incident the previous day, and boy was I glad.
Usually, Squishy and I would sit at different corners of the shop and do our own things if there were no customers around, but that day, we sat at the same table and chatted for a bit. From where I was situated though, I could see the counter so we wouldn't miss any customers.
In the midst of our conversation, I noticed a mysterious figure peering into the kitchen and holding what seemed to be a phone directed at us. Was that person taking photos of us?
I squinted in the direction of the person, causing him (that person looked like he was of a man’s build) to duck behind the counter to avoid being seen. I shushed Squishy before creeping towards the counter, taking the blender with me. I swear to god if it was some robber, I would hit the hell out of him.
The person slowly showed his head from the counter, only to find me equipped with a blender as a weapon staring right at him. That person was definitely not who I expected, but it didn't come as a shock either.
“It’s you. Why am I not surprised?” I rolled my eyes as I placed the blender back to its original position.
“What? I can’t be here?” Kai retorted.
“I’m not saying that, but why were you taking pictures of us?”
“He was taking pictures of us?” Squishy asked, with a hint of shock in his voice.
“Yes he was.” I stated firmly.
“No I wasn't…” Kai murmured nervously.
“I don't know what Kai will be in the future, but I definitely know what he can’t be.” I turned to Kai from Squishy. “You can never be in any undercover work.”
“Hey, I’m not bad okay?”
“Whatever you say, Sherlock.” I sassed back at him. “You haven’t told me why you were taking pictures of us.”
“Uh bye!” Kai sprinted off before even answering my question.
“Can you believe this guy?” I asked Squishy in exasperation.
“Sometimes… no.” He replied, causing the both of us to laugh.
