Entry 16
That Particular Boy11.08.2014 (Monday)
We were probably causing more trouble than help at the shop. And we were probably also making a huge nuisance in the neighbourhood because of our singing.
"I still can't believe I got third though, it's my first time participating!" I exclaimed, still feeling happy from last week's win.
"Congratulations then! Normally I get third or nothing at all, so this is a great improvement for me too!" He settled down on one of the chairs in the shop. "I see that you took my advice and improved on some areas."
"Of course I did! I wouldn't turn down valuable advice!" I grinned like a fool. "Geez, all this talk makes me want to sing."
"Then sing." He encouraged in a casual manner.
"Are you serious?"
"Sing," his smile turned into a slight smirk, "with me."
"But I don't think-"
The sudden humming escaping Squishy's lips stopped me mid-sentence. I listened to the tune for a bit, trying to recognise what song it was before joining in. Squishy seemed to increase his volume after I started humming along, which gave me the confidence to actually sing the words out. Very soon, we were singing our favourite pop songs loudly in the shop. If we were working at any other shop, I think we would be fired by now.
We ended up singing off-key to some of Super Junior's songs.
"Single, free and single, I'm ready to bingo!"
"Bingo!"
"Oh and there's this one where they just we'llforgeteverythingwiththismusicblablabla swing never, never give up!"
"Swing! And this really famous one that goes sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, naega, naega, naega, meonjeo~"
Rapped incoherent words to songs we created on the spot.
"Yo we ain't even kidding now, we the baddest kids on the block, so listen to us while we talk and we will probably spare your stalk."
"Stalk?"
"You know, the vegetable?"
"Oh stalk!"
"This isn't even making sense anymore!"
And even danced to some girl group dances, with Sistar's Alone being the most prominent.
"There, swipe your leg towards you."
"Like this?"
"Like that."
We were still immersed in our own world when the shopkeeper from a store nearby came in to complain about the noise pollution.
"Keep it down! We're still trying to run a business here!" The man angrily snapped.
"Sorry!" Both Squishy and I bowed down as I reached out to switch the music off. The man left when he was happy with the significant decrease in noise.
"That was fun." I sent Squishy a sheepish smile.
"We should do that again sometime." Squishy chuckled, earning a smile and a nod from me.
Triple update today, boom. XD
