The wind was exceptionally strong tonight, you stayed up as late as you could. Listening to music, reading, going through your notebook trying to remember memories. Before you knew it it was was already 1:43 in the morning and you had school.    "I should get to sleep." You turned the light off and jumped under your covers before the boogie man caught you. Every little noise and creek the house made, you jumped. The loud wind howling outside, sounded like a ghost calling your name. Well so you thought, only making things worse. An over grown tree branch scratched onto the window. You peeked out and looked at the wall, a shadow of a large hand covered the wall from the shining street light outside your window.    "Ahhhhhh!!!" You scream hysterically running out into the hall and barged into Kai's bedroom. Kai jumped up out from under the sheets and quickly turned to the door, still half a sleep. You quickly run onto his bed and run behind him, holding onto his shirt tightly with one hand and holding up his sheet over you with the other.   "What are you doing?! It's 2:00 in the morning, get out!" Kai pushed you off of him and switches on the light switch. He looked at you, frightened and shaky under his sheet. He sighed tiredly, before asking calmly, "What's wrong?"     "There's monsters in my room.." You pointed out into the hall, "Go check."    "You can't be serious.." He walked over to you, rubbing his sleepy eyes, "Come on, I'll take you back." He held out his hand for you. You gently slide your hand into his and follow him back to your room. He slowly pushes the door open and switches the light on. You stand closely behind him, tightly holding onto his shirt with one hand and still holding his hand with the other. You look slightly over his shoulder and everything seems fine.    "Everything looks fine to me." Kai said sleepily, brushing his hair back.   "That's because the lights , monsters come out in the darkness.." You innocently reply.   "Well sleep with the light on!" Kai turned to you and you quickly stepped back, letting go, frightened by his loud booming voice. Kai saw how shaken you were, "Alright.. Alright.. How about you sleep in my room then.. Just tonight.." He quietly whispered as he walked out into the hall.    "Great! Thank you!" You hurriedly ran into his room and hid under the blankets.   "Aish.. Why did I say that..?" He turned off your bedroom light and headed back to his bedroom. He closed his bedroom door and saw you already comfortable in his bed, grinning happily as you smoothed down the blanket out around you.
