He must of been out of his mind. Demanding such a thing from you. "There's no way I'm cooking for YOU." You pointed up at him angrily, scrunching your nose.    "Well you are." Your anger had little affect on him. But your adorable little scrunched up face did. He cupped your face and bent down to have your eyes meet. You cheeks reddened.   "Yah, what are you doing?" You quickly slipped out of his hands and looked down at the ground, flustered you placed your hands on your cheek. *They are so hot.. What the hell is wrong with you Hyo Jin?!* You mentally face palmed yourself.    Kai loved seeing your confused and agitated face. He smiled while he watched you have a mental battle over what just happened.   "Get cooking already." He shoved your shoulder and sat down at the dining table. Placed his hands underneath his chin and grinned at you.   "Idiot.." You hissed. You turned around and opened the large pantry door. *So many choices.. What do I make? I don't even know what this guy likes..*   "I like everything." It was like he could read your mind, answering your question like that. You nodded without looking back and pulled out a few ingredients. You quickly whipped into action, mixing, frying and boiling different foods.    *I thought she would of forgotten how to cook.. Maybe they taught her that already..* Kai was amazed by your skills. You looked almost profession. He wondered how you were able to become a pro at cooking and still not know what an iPod was. Kai still can't get over the fact that you didn't know that, he holds grudges over small things it seems.    

 

Rushing around in the small kitchen you were assigned, the crowd loudly cheering. You have no time to look up, preparing your final, dessert. Madly running around trying to perfect twenty chocolate puddings.    "They have to look the same. They have to look the same." You repeated over and over as you carefully placed a spiral of hardened dark chocolate with a sprinkle of coconut and a drizzle of melted caramel on each pudding.    "Everything has to be perfect. Everything has to be perfect." Your mothers angry voice played through your voice.   "Don't bother coming home if you fail! You're a pathetic piece of you know that!" She slapped your cheek. You keep your eyes at her feet, not looking up.   *No, no. Can't go thinking of that.* You quickly shook the thought of your mothers harsh words and continued to focus on the food you had to get right to win.   It was time for the judging. You and another contestant stood up on a platform waiting for the judging from the three judges and seventeen random guests in the crowd.    "And the winner is!.." The announcer opened up the envelop. You stood side by side the other finalist. A 15 year old boy. You looked so small next to him, not only were you 6 years younger than him but you were also really short compared to other kids your age.   *If I loose this, I'll have to move out..* You worried. At nine years old, you were a strong and brave little girl. Well you had to be, with a mother like that, you had no choice.   "Is Lizzy Patterson!" The crowd cheered and your mother ran out onto the stage hugging you tightly, followed by your father who was smiling proudly. He awkwardly patted you on the head. "Good job.." He smiled.    

 

A pain suddenly hit your head, you held tightly onto your head pulling at your hair from the extreme pain. Kai looked up at you, "What's wrong?" He stood up and walked over to you. He bent down and looked up at your face. He could see how much pain you were in, he placed his arm around your shoulder and led you over to the dining table. "Here, sit down." He pulled out a chair for you and sat you down slowly. The pain quickly eased and your grip on your hair loosened. "You feeling ok?" Kai looked worried.   You removed your hand from your head and you patted down your messy hair. *I remember.. I was in a cooking competition when I was nine.. I should add that to my diary.*    "Yeah I'm fine.. I'll be right back." You stood up and headed up stairs to your bedroom. Kai watched you as you quickly ran up stairs, "I wonder what's wrong.." Kai turned to the stove where the kimchi soup was over boiling and about to spill. "Crap! Crap! Crap!!!" Kai quickly ran over and turned down the gas.
