"Here you go Hyo Jin." Mrs Kim carefully placed a bowl of rice in front of you.    "What is it?" You looked at the little white clumps with curiosity. *Do I eat this? It looks similar to vanilla ice cream..*   "You don't know what rice is? What did you eat back home?" She raised a brow. You shrugged your shoulders, not knowing what to say to her question. She let out a sigh, she couldn't believe you had forgotten all basic needs in life. She wondered how you had lived the past few months. "You must of been so scared.."    "What?" You asked. You didn't hear what she said clearly.   "Oh nothing." She placed her chin in her palm as she sat in front of you.    She was fascinated at how you were eating the rice. Picking one by one with the spoon. It was an interesting way and an extremely slow way to eat. But she let you. She knew you were still learning how to live on your own without having someone right next to you, helping you step by step.     After you finished eating, Mrs. Kim placed all of the dirty dishes in the sink.     "Hyo Jin.. I'm really sorry but I have to get going now. I'm going to China for a business trip and I feel really bad for leaving you here alone." She looked up at you and saw how saddened you were.   "So I'll be in this big house alone..?" You were scared. Spending your first night here alone.. You didn't want to.   "Only for a little while. Kai will be here later tonight." She assured you with a little smile.    "Who's Kai..?"    "My son. He's your age and your going to be attending school with him, so make sure you go with him. He'll help you out, he's really nice."    "He's my age..?" You couldn't remember your age, you tried as hard as you could to try and remember but nothing came to you.   "Yes he is, 18." She smiled again and ruffled your hair. She knew by your face you had forgotten your age, she didn't want you to feel any worse.   "18.." You said quietly to yourself.   Mrs. Kim looked down at her watch and realized she was going to be late. She hurried up stairs to her bedroom and you followed her. You had nothing better to do. You noticed the bedroom door that was across from your bedroom, slightly open. You slowly pushed the door open and took a look inside. It was immaculate, you looked over at the desk and saw a picture of Mrs. Kim and a young man. *That must be her son.. Kai.*    "Hyo Jin!" Mrs. Kim called out.   "Yes?" You called back as you closed Kai's bedroom door.   "I'm leaving now. I placed your uniform on your bed and don't forget that you're going to school with Kai. So make sure you wake up on time and get him out of bed. He tends to like to sleep in." She gave you a quick hug and raced down the stairs.     The front door slammed close and the house was dead silent. You took one step and the sound echoed down the hall. You didn't like to be left alone. "I hope that guy Kai will show up soon.." You hurried off to your room and hid under your covers. Every little noise frightening you in the process.     

 

You poked your head out of the covers to look at the clock, 12:44 AM.    "Aish! Where is he? Why does he stay out so late. Mrs. Kim made him sound like he was an angel.." You were disappointed. You got out from under the blanket and began to undress.   *Might as well go to sleep then..* There was no reason for you to stay up any later now. You hopped into bed, only wearing a large white t shirt.    You didn't like wearing girls clothes. You liked to be comfortable,
