I found a pair of gray wings on my way
To the green forest one fine summer day.
An angel must have lost it as she played,
T’was all dirty on the ground whence it laid.
Where hath thou gone to, angel of the past?
Hath thou come to collect thy wings at last?
They say fairies and angels cease to be
But no matter, I still believe in thee.
In Summer, I look among the foil
In Autumn, I search for thee in toil
In Winter, I seek signs in snow for thee
In Spring, I wished thou appear before me
A decade gone, I’ve grown sick of the wait.
Thou hath come now but it is far too late.
