Heartbreaker Inc. ~ In the Closet (Part Two)

The new girl’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets when she saw the aisle of shoes from Louboutins to Jimmy Choos. It was like shoe heaven.

“Are those really…”

“Yeah, they are. We don’t carry knock offs.” GD watched in amusement as her jaw dropped in disbelief.

“These are off limits though… unless Cyndi gives the okay to you. It is her personal collection. We’re all pretty well off. Business is booming.”

It took her a while to come to her senses but once she did, she asked GD right away if there was a public “shopping mall” for the rest of them.

“Of course. Why don’t we go there next?”

They were both off in a jiffy with GD leading the way and the new girl tagging along like a little kid heading for the candy shop. She could barely keep her eyes straight ahead. There were so many things to see. She definitely wanted to work here no matter what. GD led her down a few hallways to a green luscious area. It felt like a relaxing spa. No one seemed to be around though and she asked him why there weren’t others.

“Most of them are off to lunch so I’m thinking we have the place all to ourselves.”

The girl seemed extremely excited about this. She wanted to ogle the merchandise without so many people around.

They both came to a large double door lined with silver and gold. The platinum plate hung above it read: “The Boutique” She totally liked the sound of that.

GD opened the door. What they saw inside surprised both of them. A guy and a girl were totally making out in the corner. His hand was sliding up her skirt while she had his hair in her fist. They were the same two people she saw earlier leaving the gym all sweaty. She tried recalling what GD told her… about them being the top in the company. Was this how they got to the top?

GD made a fake cough to alert the couple to their presence. They girl turned around to see who it was. She wasn’t embarrassed at being caught and all.

The guy seemed to be in some kind of trance. He obviously wanted some more of her after she pulled away from him. Maybe he was savoring the lingering taste of her cherry lips.

“Hey GD. I thought you were going to grab some lunch with that beautiful girl beside you.”

GD ignored her remark, “What were you two doing? Hero?” GD snapped his fingers, “Are you awake, dude?”

“As awake as I’ll ever be,” the guy replied. Whatever spell he was under, it seemed like he quickly recovered from it.

“Yeah, Hero… what were we doing just now?” Cyndi asked in a mocking voice (maybe mimicking GD).

“Oh… you were showing me your new kiss of death. It seems like a winner but I’m sure it could have been a lot better.”

“You have no right to criticize me, Mr. Second Place.”

“I’m just saying… there’s always room for improvement. It might work on most guys and girls but-“

“No, no, no… I don’t want to hear about it.”

Cyndi had her finger to his lips. Hero captured her hand and they stared at each other without blinking.

How could they forget that GD and the girl were still there?

“Hellooooo…. We’re right here. Did we just suddenly disappear?” GD was a little annoyed that he was left out.

“GD, what time is it?” Cyndi asked suddenly.

“Uh what? Oh… almost twelve thirty.”

“We better get going before the plane takes off without us.”

“Wish we could have just hopped on a private plane.” Hero grumbled.

“Can’t. Our targets are boarding the same plane so we need to greet them aboard.”

“Wait, what? Both of your jobs are in the same place?” GD interrupted.

“Apparently, yes.” Hero gave GD a “no duh” look.

“Let’s leave these two alone… maybe they’ll come up with their own kiss of death and try it on each other under the benches. Oh, and welcome to Heartbreaker Incorporated. Looking forward to seeing you around, girl.”

“OMG, Cyndi…”GD didn’t get to finish. A storm of personnel entered. Hero and Cyndi managed to slip out the door before he could say anything else.

Hero and Cyndi aboard the same plane. No need to wish them luck. They don’t need it.
