“Good morning Jooyeon-ah.” Sunggyu greeted cheerfully.

Jooyeon looked up and blinked at him, ‘Are you okay, Gyu?”

Confusion crossed over his face, “What do you mean by that?”

“I mean, aren’t you a little too cheerful this morning?” She asked.

Sunggyu chuckled as he made his way over to his wife, who was sitting on the couch with her feet propped up onto the coffee table. He sat down next to her with a big smile on his face.

Jooyeon turned to look at him, “What’s with that smile on your face, hmm?”

Sunggyu shrugged, “No reason.”

However Jooyeon didn’t believe him. She knew he was happy about something. “Kim Sunggyu, what are you so happy about, huh? Is it because you don’t have to work today?”

Sunggyu let out a playful gasp, “Oh my. How did you know that?”

Jooyeon rolled her eyes, “Oh I don’t know. Maybe it’s because you’ve been home for the past week?”

Sunggyu laughed as Jooyeon shook her head.

“Gyu, you’re so weird.” Jooyeon clicked her tongue.

Sunggyu smiled and rested his head on her shoulder, “But you still love me.”

“It’s the sad true.” Jooyeon sighed.

“Don’t make it should like it’s a bad thing.” Sunggyu pressed his nose against her neck.

“Is it supposed to be a good thing then?” Jooyeon questioned as she closed her eyes.

Sunggyu smirked, “Yes it is.” He pressed a kiss onto her neck making shivers go down her spine.

“Kim Sunggyu, what are you doing?” Jooyeon asked as she felt another kiss upon her neck.

“Nothing.” Sunggyu answered as he planted a kiss on her jaw.

A small sigh escaped her lips as he kissed her cheek.

Jooyeon slowly opened her eyes and turned to her husband, who had a glint in his eyes. “If you’re hungry, there’s food on the table.” She stated.

“But I’m not hungry for food.” He bluntly replied.

“No.” Jooyeon simply declared.

“But it’s Christmas Eve though.” Sunggyu whined like a child.

“Gyu, since when did you start whining like a child?” Jooyeon asked with a brow raised.

“Now, so come on Jooyeon-ah.” Sunggyu pleaded.

“Gyu, did you forget that I’m pregnant?” She questioned.

Sunggyu blinked at her, “No, of course not.”

“Then why are you asking me for ?” She asked.

“Because I read online that pregnant women need their needs satisfied too.” Sunggyu answered.

Jooyeon gave her husband a blank expression, “Really Gyu? Really?”

“What? It was something that I read.” He defended.

Jooyeon pinched his nose, “Aigoo.”

“Ah.” Sunggyu winced as Jooyeon let go of his nose. “What was that for?”

“So that you keep your hormones to yourself.” Jooyeon replied.

Sunggyu gaped at his wife.

Jooyeon gave him a sweet smile as she gently patted his cheek, “Now stop talking nonsense and go eat your breakfast. I’m sure you’re going to have to heat it up now.”

“You guys can’t make it tomorrow?” Jooyeon asked.

“We’re really sorry Jooyeon-ah. Our schedules just won’t let us come back to Korea.” Dongwoo apologized.

Jooyeon heaved a small sigh, “It’s okay. Sunggyu and I have to go to Sunggyu’s parents’ tomorrow afternoon.”

“Will you be okay tomorrow?” L asked.

The ends of Jooyeon’s lip curved upwards into a smile, “I’m sure it’ll be fine.”

“But your dad…” Dongwoo trailed off.

“If Sunggyu is with me then I’ll be fine.” Jooyeon assured.

“But Sunggyu is a useless prick.” L grumbled.

“Yah Kim Myungsoo, who are you calling a useless prick?” Sunggyu scowled as he sat down next to his wife, who was talking on the phone with his cousins and it was on speaker.

“I’m calling you a useless prick.” L answered with hesitation.

“Myungsoo go dig a hole and die.” Sunggyu sneered.

Jooyeon slapped her husband’s arm, “Don’t say that to him.”

Upon hearing that, Sunggyu gaped at his wife. L and Dongwoo snickered on the other line.

“But didn’t you hear what Myungsoo just said to me?” Sunggyu questioned.

“I did but I know that you’re not a useless prick so don’t take his words so serious. He’s only teasing you, Gyu. You should know that.” Jooyeon answered.

Hearing Jooyeon’s reply, Sunggyu felt his heart flutter.

“You just really know what to say so that my anger subsides, don’t you?” Sunggyu chuckled.

Jooyeon smiled as she shrugged, “I don’t know, do I?”

Before Sunggyu could reply back, Dongwoo spoke up.

“Alright, you guys don’t need to be all lovey dovey when on the phone here.” He chimed.

Sunggyu rolled his eyes as Jooyeon let out a small laugh.

“Sorry about that. So what are you two going to do tomorrow for Christmas since you guys can’t come back here?” Jooyeon asked.

“Be loner and get drunk.” L replied.

“Of course that’s something you would do, Myungsoo.” Sunggyu snorted.

“Well at least I know that women are attracted to me.” L shot back.

“Having Jooyeon is good enough for me.” Sunggyu declared.

“Damn. I can’t go against that one.” L scowled.

Sunggyu and Dongwoo laughed.

Jooyeon shook her head, “You three are the strangest cousins ever. I’m not that perfect.”

Silence fell upon the atmosphere.

“Oh Jooyeon-ah, you just don’t know. There were so many men swooning after you but it was because of us that they were able to get near you.” Dongwoo chuckled reminiscing on their high school and college years.

Jooyeon rolled her eyes as she shook her head, “You’re making it up.”

“We’re very serious, Jooyeon-ah. I don’t know how many confronts I got because I was hanging out around you.” L mused.

Jooyeon opened to say something but then she remembered that there were moments throughout high school and college where one of the boys would go missing and she didn’t know where they were.

Sunggyu chuckled, “Yeah and I almost got into a fight because some guy wanted to take you away from me.”

Jooyeon turned to look at husband with confusion all over her face. “When was that?”She asked.

“That was in the past so you don’t have to worry about it anymore.” Sunggyu smiled as he cupped her face. “Now, I have you so that’s all that matters.”

He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers.
