Jieun’s POV

Wooyoung changed a lot these days. He gave his full attention in class, he didn’t even yawn even when it came to history class, the disastrous class ever since most of the students in our class slept during this period. His test results were impressive as well and he even got higher mark than me in Calculus. I couldn’t help but feeling proud of him since he changed so much. Even the teachers looked at him in disbelief when they gave our test papers back. Joong Ki oppa seemed glad with his achievements as well. I’m very sure that he will pass high school with good grades this year.

“Lee Jieun.”

But his attitude problems still didn’t change much from before. There he was, barging into my room freely, anytime he wanted to. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Why I fall for a guy like him anyway? I must be crazy...seriously.

“Haven’t you heard of a word ‘knocking’?” I asked sarcastically.

“Oh.” He answered simply. He stepped out from my room, closing the door and then he knocked on my door from outside.

“Miss Lee Jieun...can I come in?” He asked sarcastically. I knew he was trying to tease me as I heard him chuckled. Without waiting for my permission, he entered my room again.

“Whatever.” I focused my sight on my book again as he walked towards me. I was laying on my bed, studying comfortably. All of a sudden, he laid down beside me...I pretended like I didn’t see him but he kept staring at me and I couldn’t help but talked to him since he totally distracted me.

“What?” I asked, trying my best to sound calm even though I can feel my cheeks getting hot. Please don’t blush!

“What are you doing?” He asked innocently. Duh...what was he thinking?

“Oh...nothing. I’m cooking on my bed.” I joked around, faking a smile at him.

“Oh...really. So, you’re going to cook a bland ramen again? Oh wait...maybe some burnt eggs?” He smirked. Okay...he wanted to play along huh? I knew that I’m not a good cooker but he didn’t need to emphasize how terrible I was at cooking...that was just plain rude!

“No...I want to cook my book and then I’ll force you to eat it, so that you can be more sensible after this.” I said, still faking a sweet smile. Don’t blow up, Lee Jieun...you won’t lose to him this time.

“Wowow...that’s was hella scary...I’m so scared.” He pretended to be scared but then he smirked again. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Why I bother to entertain him anyway?

“Wooyoung...I’m studying right now, can’t you see?” I stared at him, hoping for his understanding.

“Hello...of course I know you’re studying. Come on, you have been studying since morning. Chill out okay...you brain need to rest too.” He closed the book in front of me.

“Hey...I still want to read it.” I whined but he simply ignored me as he took away the book from me. Okay...that was too much. I wanted to finish the topic that I was reading.

“Give it to me...now!” I added but he quickly lifted the book up in the air, knowing that I can never reach it with my height compared to him. But I won’t give up as I tried to reach for it even though it seemed impossible for me to win over him.

“No...I won’t.” He stood up on my bed, jumping on it.

“Wooyoung...I need to study. Our final examination is on next week. You should study as well, don’t be too proud with your test result.” I said, still trying to grab my book from him. This might sound silly, but I jumped on my bed as well, trying to reach for the book on his hand. This is the only time I regretted to be petite compared to him.

“Yah...you’re so smart, don’t stress out too much. You can do well in examination, believe me. By the way, I’m not proud but I’m confident with myself. I can do anything once I set my mind on it.” He said proudly. There he goes again...bragging about himself but I knew he was right. He did really well in his study and I’m proud of him.

“Yah...stop bragging, will you? You can brag all day long if you pass our final examination with good grades, but for now...just stop okay.” I smirked at him as he pouted. I couldn’t help but smile seeing his reaction, who wouldn’t? Okay, I needed to admit this...he looked so cute.

“Lee Jieun...I’ll prove it to you. Just wait and see.” He said confidently.

“Okay...let’s see. I’ll grant one wish of yours if you get good grades.” I dared him.

“Okay...deal. You better remember this because I won’t go easy on you. When that time comes, you really need to grant my wish.” He looked excited about my dare. It’s just a wish...I can do it.

“Got it!” I squealed in delight when I finally managed to grab my book from his hand when he unconsciously lowered the position of the book. He looked startled as I jumped in happiness, bouncing on my bed while sticking out my tongue at him.

“You look so cute like this.” He said suddenly while ruffling my hairs with gorgeous smile on his face. I couldn’t help but blushed. I mentally slapped myself from blushing each time he did that kind of intimate things to me. Stop blushing Lee Jieun!

 I wanted to turn around from him but I accidently tripped over my pencil case that was on my bed and I quickly grabbed Wooyoung’s shirt for some supports but he lost his balance and we ended up falling on my bed...thank God, luckily we fall on the bed rather than the hard floor...I opened my eyes, looking at him as he was on top of me. He was staring at me and I felt like I could melt any second if he stayed like that any longer. I can feel his breath on my cheeks...and of course, my cheeks heat up again.

“Um...Wooyoung...can you please get off me now?” I asked, politely.

“Uh...O-Oh...O-Okay.” He stuttered as he sat up immediately. Was it just me or did he really blushed? I can see his face reddened but he looked away quickly when he realized that I was staring at him. I smiled secretly looking at his flustered face. I looked away as well, hoping that he won’t see my red cheeks.

“Um...I better go to sleep now. You need to sleep as well, stop reading.” He stood up while scratching the back of his head.

“Uh...okay.” I responded awkwardly. Seriously...this is awkward.

“So, good night.” He said quickly before turning away to leave my room.

“Wooyoung.” I called him softly and he turned around immediately, facing me.

“Don’t forget to close the door.” I said calmly. He frowned.

“Oh...okay.” He said awkwardly before turning around, leaving my room...and he did close the door. I smiled again.

“Good night Wooyoung.”

Wooyoung’s POV

Aish...what’s wrong with you Jang Wooyoung? Acting like an idiot in front of her. I almost kissed her again just now, luckily she stopped me first. Okay, actually I’m upset...seriously, I needed to control myself from doing that kind of things towards her. What if she hated it? What if she really likes someone else like Joong Ki hyung said? What if she likes Joong Ki hyung? Ughh...that hyung! He won’t tell me about that person because I lost the running competition with him. Oh wait...I can just straight up and ask her about that, right? No...that will be weird. She will think that I was trying to meddle with her life. Well, I can just confess to her about my feelings...but what if she doesn’t feel the same about me? Things will be awkward between us then...I do think that she has feelings for me but I’m not sure...ughhh, why love is so complicated?

“Lee Jieun...can you feel my heart beat? It’s beating for you.”
