Narrator’s POV

Haerin just got off her last class, it was already 6 PM and it was getting a bit dark outside. She made her way out of the building and began walking back to their house.

“Haerin?”

She spun around and found Hoya looking at her.

“Oh, is your lip fine now?” She asked.

Hoya nodded.

“It’s already dark, are you walking back home?” He asked as he stepped closer.

“Yeah, last class just ended. You?”           

“Just had my last class too. Night classes .”

She chuckled and they began to walk together.

“Thank you…..for earlier.”

“You’re welcome.” She nodded.

“I heard you were partnered with L.”

“Yeah.”

“I hope you two get along well. He’s not good…..with other people.”

“I noticed.” Haerin chuckled.

“But he accepted the ice pack from you. That’s rare you know.”

“His fist was like a watermelon already. Do you….guys really fight?”

Hoya chuckled.

“What do you think?”

“I think its……bad .” She grinned. Then she heard someone walking behind them.

“You cant have Yeollie’s friend all to yourself, Hoya.”

“Sunggyu, right?” Haerin asked. Sunggyu nodded.

“Woohyun kept on talking about unlucky you were being partnered with L and how unlucky he was being partnered with Sekyung.”

“Whats so~”

A black Audi S5 stopped in front of them with its lights on. Haerin pouted.

“Do you know the driver?” Hoya asked.

“Sadly, I do. I have to go. I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Bye!” She waved before walking to the front door.

Your POV

“Safe distance, honey?” Kai hissed.

“Well, they kept me safe. They walked with me while I was alone, unlike you, honey who went on a date.”

“Jealous?”

“Close enough, idiot.” I said as I fixed the seatbelt on my waist.

“They’re gangsters! Not safe.”

“Oh, puh-lease, I live alone with a playboy.”

I heard him grunt.

“They’re good people Kai. I’ve known Sungyeol since the last semester.”

“I’m telling Chanyeol hyung.”

“I just wanted to have new friends.” I grumbled. I felt his hand on my head, he ruffled my hair.

“As long as you don’t get involved in their gang wars, honey.”

I rolled my eyes at him.

Myungsoo’s POV

I entered the house and found abeoji and eomma talking.

“How was school, Myungsoo?” Abeoji asked.

“It was fine.”

“I heard about that project~”

I sighed.

“You’re keeping tabs on me again?”

I saw eomma glanced at him.

“It’s for your safety, son.”

“I’m safe as long as they don’t know, abeoji.”

I heard him sigh.

“Anyway, if you’re flying to Jeju with Miss Park.”

They even know about my partner.

“I suggest~”

“I’m flying with the guys, along with the other students.” I stated.

“We’ll be sending in a few of your guards still.”

I didn’t reply. It won’t change anything anyway.

Your POV

“Jeju this weekend?” I asked as I waited for Kai to come back with the food. He nodded and placed my plate in front of me.

“So, is your partner coming with you?” I asked.

“She was so happy when she knew you two were going to be partners.” I added. He just chuckled.

“Kai, its time you let her go.” I said seriously.

“I already did.”

“No, you didn’t.”

“Just stop bringing her up, Park Haerin.”

I nodded, he rarely calls me anything besides honey or Rinnie. And my real name meant business.

“So, I’m partnered up with the cold ruthless gangster.” I quoted what I heard from the school gossips.

“Kim Myungsoo?”

I nodded.

“Just…..get along well with him, I guess.”

“Kai?”

“Mwo?”

“I think you’re right, they are gangsters.”

He looked up.

“I mean, this morning, Hoya had a bleeding lip, then Myungsoo’s fist was so sore too.”

“What did I say about keeping a safe distance again, honey?”

“I’m just saying, but I don’t think their mean, I mean I don’t think Sungyeol can even fight.”

“Sungjong too, but about Myungsoo…..he’s kinda creepy.”

“Also, Sunggyu and Dongwoo~”

“Stop talking about them!”
