“You’re bound to tell me soon, Haerin.”

I looked at Hyo we were walking to the beach.

“About?”

“You and Kai.”

I sighed.

“You’re keeping something from, how could you?!”

“Kai and I….grew up together. Childhood friends.” I said carefully.

“For three long years you never even mentioned it?!”

“Yeah, I don’t like his fangirls coming after me. Anyway, we’re best friends ever since….birth.”

“So, that explains why he helped you last time.”

I nodded.

“If this comes out~”

“Don’t worry, I don’t want my friend to die.” She chuckled.

“Thanks, Hyorinnie.”

Narrator’s POV

Haerin stepped in the party clad in a pair of denim cutoffs, a bikini top and a crochet top over it.

“Bonfire!” Hyorin grinned at her.

“I wonder where the others are~”

“Oh, you two came, come here.” Woohyun called them over.

“Nice party, Woohyun.” Haerin grinned. Hyorin looked away, hiding her face. Haerin chuckled.

“Sungyeol?”

“He’s….” Woohyun craned his neck.

“Oh, he’s over there with L and Hoya.”

“I’ll go talk to him!” Hyorin ran to Sungyeol.

“She…..your friend?”

“I’ll….tell you later.” Haerin chuckled as she made her way to the refreshments bar.

Like any other party, beer and alcoholic punch were served. Kai was talking with some of his friends while girls kept on bugging him.

He looked over at Infinite and found Haerin chatting with them. He relaxed a bit.

“Maybe her getting along with them might be helpful.” He muttered to himself and took a sip from his cup.

Myungsoo’s POV

“I’ll just go use the restroom.” Haerin stood up.

“I’ll come with you~”

“It’s okay.” She waved her friend off and stepped out.

“L, it’s dark, will she be okay?” Hoya asked.

“I don’t know. It’s just near, hyung.” I replied. I saw Hyorin look around.

“Why are she here with us? We’re not even in the same class.”

“Myungsoo.” Sunggyu hyung stepped on my foot.

“You don’t even do that to Haerin.” Sungjong snickered.

I looked away.

“Where is Woohyun hyung?” Sungyeol asked.

“I don’t know, proably with his new girlfriend.”

Narrator’s POV

Haerin came back to the party, but someone tapped her shoulder.

“Oh, Heejun sunbaenim.” She nodded.

“Here, drink.” He handed her a cup of punch.

“Thank you.” She smiled and she just smelled the cup. Haerin doesn’t drink, no, she cannot drink.

“I heard you rejected Minseong.” He said. Haerin flinched a little; his breath stank of beer.

“Ah, sunbae, you’re a little drunk, I’ll help you sit down.”

Kai looked up and saw his best friend speaking with someone. Someone he didn’t like Kwak Heejun, a senior and a bastard. He was about to step in but two girls stopped him from doing so. He tried to relax by telling himself that they’re just talking. But he knew the man was drunk.

Myungsoo watched as Haerin pulled away her arm from the man. He tilted his head. What was hapenning?

“Look that.” He said lowly. His friends followed his gaze.

Woohyun who was also talking to his guests was observing the two.

Then, Heejun suddenly yanked her closer to him. Myungsoo tensed in his seat but he tried to look away and shrugged it off.

“Hyung! Noona’s being~”

He stood up and walked to them.
