The Myouis went to various designer shops and jewelry shops to buy the best and most expensive clothes, bags and jewelries for Mina. Honestly, Mina didn't think these were necessary. She never was really into designer, but she was too happy to complain. Finally, for once her parents cared about her.










 

Chaeyoung and Yeri went to the mall to buy various things like clothes, necessities, books, etc. Basically, everything Yeri lost plus extra things.

"You're only buying underwear?" Chaeyoung asked.

Yeri's cheeks reddened. "Yeah"

"You don't need to worry about the cost, Yeri. I know you lost a lot of clothes. Buy clothes too!" Chaeyoung cooed.

Yeri's cheeks reddened even more. "N-no, actually. I didn't lose a lot of clothes."

Chaeyoung sighed. He held both of Yeri's hands. Yeri was flustered and hid her face.

"Please, Yeri. You are my friend. Friends help each other in need." Chaeyoung pleaded.

Yeri's heart cracked at the word "friend". Yeri shook her head. To be honest, she really needed more clothes. She only had enough clothes for 3 days now and had to wash her clothes often. That's definitely a waste of electricity for Mina's household. Yeri had to swallow her pride and accepted it.

"I'm sorry for this, Chaeyoung. I-I really don't know how to pay it back." Yeri stuttered.

"Don't worry about it, Yeri."

Then, they continued shopping.







 

The Chous hired a stylist for the whole family. They really, really wanted to impress the Myouis. They really think this is an important step in their career. Entering the European market would really boost their company.

"Don't embarrass us, do you understand?" Mr. Chou roared.

"Yes, Father!" Chou Tzuyu answered.

"Don't pressure Tzuyu! He needs to relax also and get to know his future bride." Mrs. Myoui retorted.

Mr. Myoui sighed. "Sorry, I'm actually the one that's nervous. This is a very important deal for us. We can't mess this up."

"I'll try my best, father."








 

"So, so, so, how do the ladies feel today? With all the diamonds, jewelries, beautiful dresses and handbags and of course the make up and nails. Satisfied?" Mr. Myoui smugly said.

Mrs. Myoui scoffed. Mina giggled.

"I'm very happy, papa. We should go out more often." Mina chirped.

Mr. Myoui cleared his throat. "s-sure, haha."

"Are you girls starving?" Mr. Myoui asked. "I made a reservation already. Let's go!"






 

"Look, when you see them. Politely bow and smile at them. Don't give them your resting face and be more talkative especially to your new wife and..."

"Stop it, Yi-Cheng! That's enough! Just relax! Everything will be fine." Mrs. Myoui snapped.

Mr. Chou sighed. "I'm just worried! Here they come!"

"Stand up!" He whisper-shouted.

"Hey, Myo-"

"Mina!" Tzuyu exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

"Tzuyu, manners!" Mrs. Chou whisper-shouted. "Hahaha, I'm sorry about Tzuyu's rude-"

"Does Chaeyoung know?" Tzuyu interrupted.

Mrs. Chou clicked her tongue. Mina was just standing shocked, confused about the whole situation. So, Tzuyu took the initiation and dragged Mina outside.

"I'm sorry about Tzuyu. I promise you, he's not usually like this." Mr. Chou apologized.

"It's alright. Maybe Tzuyu is just excited." Mr. Myoui replied.

Mrs. Myoui raised her eyebrow.

'Suspicious' she thought.








 

"Do you understand what you are doing right now?" Tzuyu scolded.

"Ow, what's wrong with you?" Mina groaned, rubbing her hand.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?" Tzuyu retorted. "Did you move on that easily that you agree to be my future bride?"

"Your what?" Mina asked.

"Yeah, that's what's happening right now! We're in an arranged marriage!"

"You mean...." Mina trailed. Mina instantly flashbacked to all the good things her parents did for her. She gasped. She finally realized now. Her parents treated her nicely because they wanted to sell her as a bride. She quickly bursted into tears. She quickly grabbed her phone and called Chaeyoung's number.

"Hel-"

"Changie" Mina cried. "Please come *sob* pick me *sob* up!"

Meanwhile, Mrs. Myoui finally realized the real situation. Her heart was burning with fire. Her husband lied to her, but she couldn't just leave now. It would be rude. She didn't even know if Mina knew it yet. Hope Mina isn't taking it too badly.









 

Seeing Mina crying her eyes out, Tzuyu could only stand beside her in silence. He was at a loss on what he should do. He was not used to this kind of situation. Luckily, Chaeyoung arrived not long after. Chaeyoung quickly got out of his car and embraced Mina.

"It's okay. It's okay" he repeatedly muttered.

Tzuyu cleared his throat. "My parents and hers tried to marry us to each other."

"What!?" Chaeyoung exclaimed.

"This is why I dragged her out and she immediately called you."

Chaeyoung was at a loss for words. He remembered vividly Mina introducing him as her boyfriend to her parents. He remembered how flustered he was. How Mina's mother smiled in glee. Why  did they set Tzuyu up marry Mina instead? He felt rejected, disappointed, angry, sad, underestimated and lost.

"I think it's best if we relocate to your apartment. I don't think I can face my parents. Mina obviously wouldn't want to face her parents either." Tzuyu suggested.

"Oh yeah, um, My condo's not, um, not that big." He stuttered as his eyes watered.

"We'll figure something out. For now your condo is our temporary shelter." Tzuyu retorted. "See you and take care of Mina."

Tzuyu then got in his car and drove away. Mina was still crying her eyes out. Chaeyoung wiped his teary eyes and held Mina closely and put her in the passenger seat. Then he got in the driver seat.

Why is this happening?

Why don't they approve of me?

These questions kept repeating on his head as he drove to the mansion to pack their stuffs before going to the condo. For the first time ever after he became an adult, he felt like he was that little boy again. The little boy who was always looked down on and ridiculed by everyone.
