“Hey, you! Another gift today?”

An angelic voice giggles at the sight of a small bluebird that often pays a visit every morning to drop random gifts. She often got beautiful pebbles, flowers, feathers, and scrap metal at her window. Chaewon finds that it is amusing that this small creature seems to possess a certain level of intelligence and affection. Since she found the small bluebird injured its wings by the roadside, Chaewon took the liberty to bring it home and treat the bird well.

The farewell between Chaewon and the bluebird that she called Jin; a name she thought is suitable for the bird, is filled with tears as Chaewon is reluctant in releasing her new friend. However, her mother reminds her that Jin belongs to nature and needs to spread its wings freely. With that, Chaewon bid the bird goodbye and promised that if she ever meets Jin again, she will feed delicious food for the bluebird.

She didn’t have to wait that long, though.

The next morning, Chaewon is woken up by a small knocking on her window. To her surprise, there is Jin who is bringing a peculiar yet beautiful pebble on its small beck. Beaming with happiness, Chaewon scooped the small bird in her tiny hands and feed it with some treats. They both spend a few minutes together before Jin flying away, maybe going back to its home.
