Summary: Baekhyun wants some alone time and a rooster.

The plane ride from Sacramento to LAX was actually... nice.

Besides the fact that they had to bring along all of their ski and snowboard gear (a ing hassle) and get it all checked in, the whole process seemed easy.

During the whole 1 hour trip, Baekhyun kept talking, never letting the conversation die. Even if the topic seemed mundane and boring, Chanyeol still went along with it.

Not that either of them cared much about talking anyways. Baekhyun had too much fun holding hands and leaning against the gangster. Chanyeol just thought it was nice to finally not feel so uncomfortable.

Baekhyun didn't tell his parents that they'd be back early because he asked Minseok if he could book them a nice hotel room, too— just for one night.

Away from his parents and alone with Chanyeol, who still didn't know they're not going "home" home. At least, not yet.

As they're waiting for their checked luggage to start coming in to the baggage claim area, Baekhyun sneaks a glance up at the giant.

Then he looks away.

But afterward, he raises his eyes again. This time, Chanyeol looks at him, too.

"What?"

Baekhyun smiles, teeth and all. "I forgot to tell you something," he starts off. "It's kind of important, but on the bright side, we'll have some alone time and we can do things like, um, you know! Cuddle! Plus other stuff, but cuddles is the most important one— unless you have other things in mind~"

Furrowing his brows, Chanyeol frowns. He doesn't know what the hell the runt's going on about. "Okay. Spit it out, then."

"See, I didn't want to explain to my parents why we were coming back early without the rest of them," Baekhyun starts, referring to his friends (or ex-friends...?). "So... I thought it'd be easier to stay in a hotel and just go back home tomorrow!"

"And I'm assuming you already have that booked."

"Yes— Oh! Wait. Technically, Minseokkie booked it for us. It's at the Four Seasons." Baekhyun starts swinging his arms around, which also swings Chanyeol's, too, because they're still holding hands. "So... that means we'll have some time alone and I don't have to sneak in the guest room for secret cuddles just yet. Is that okay with you?"

Chanyeol doesn't respond quickly. Instead, he looks away briefly, mulling over a few things in his mind.

When he ends up taking too long (in Baekhyun's opinion), the runt pauses for a second and nudges him. "Yeol?"

Turning his eyes to the brunet, Chanyeol nods, not showing too much of an expression... but he does squeeze his runt's hand as reassurance. "That sounds nice."

"Yeah?" Baekhyun brightens up as he giggles. "It'll be like our own private honeymoon! Except, well, the married part, but that doesn't matter. We've already had pre-marital , so I don't think it makes much of a difference, right?"

Scoffing, Chanyeol shakes his head. "No, it doesn't. Except the married part. That's something you got right."

"We can always change that."

"But not today," Chanyeol replies. "Finish school and get a job. Then I'll think about it. Maybe."

Baekhyun pouts. "You have to think about whether or not you like me enough to marry me?"

The big brown eyes are back and more annoying than ever. Chanyeol almost forgot about them.

Almost.

"Yeah, I do."

"Meanwhile, I'd marry you in a second!" Hugging the gangster, Baekhyun hums. "I love you— and I never want to stop hugging you. Ever. It makes me love you even more!"

"I know." Chanyeol sees their suitcases starting to turn the corner, but still takes the time to hug the latter back. "You say it all the time."

"Because mom said I shouldn't tell lies!" Pulling away, Baekhyun let's the giant have enough space to haul the luggage off the baggage belt. "The question is, do you love me as much as I love you?"

They still have to wait for the skis and snowboard to come by so Chanyeol turns to face the brunet. "Honestly? I'm not sure. I feel like you have me beat in a lot of things."

"That's okay. If you love me—even just a little bit—then that meets all of the requirements for love!" 
Then, Baekhyun stands on his toes and Chanyeol meets him in the middle for a quick kiss. "Besides, you do beat me in the department. That's for sure—"

"Alright, now shut up."

A/n:  I have things planned but it'll be a nice fluff journey until it's not and then we'll fast forward to 2013 where I have more things planned 😊
