Summary: Baekhyun makes plans and Chanyeol's hiding.

While they're eating breakfast (alone since Baekhyun's parents left already), Baekhyun goes through his phone, trying to see what they can do for the day.

"I still have to let my friends know you're coming. Oh, wait! We need to buy your jackets and stuff!" Baekhyun purses his lips together while Chanyeol's looking at him with a... less-than-enthused expression on his face. "I've never been skiing before. Or snowboarding. Maybe we can learn together!"

"I know how to snowboard." Chanyeol takes a sip of water out of his cup. "It's not hard."

"How do know? Who taught you? I didn't know you could snowboard!" Baekhyun's amazed by him.

"Parents took me to the mountains during the winter a few times before."

"Woooooow... You're so cool, Yeol."

Rolling his eyes, Chanyeol points at the brunet's plate. "Whatever. Hurry up and finish eating. Didn't you say you wanted to go roam around town."

"Oh, right! We should get you things for the trip, too, while we're at it!" Baekhyun smiles. "Are you excited? I am."

"Not sure."

"Why?"

Giving him a one-shoulder-shrug, Chanyeol sighs. "They're not my crowd."

"Well, duh! Sehunnie and Jonginnie are in Korea." Getting up from his seat, Baekhyun stands next to the giant with his phone out and the camera app on. "Here. Let's take a pic so I can send it to them! It'll make everyone think 'Ooooh, he's so haaandsome. Baekhyunnie is so luuuuucky~'," he says, laughing. "Say cheese!"

"Baekhyun—"

It ends up being a picture of Baekhyun with a peace sign and Chanyeol looking at him, mid-sentence with a serious face.

Before Chanyeol can saying anything about it, Baekhyun sends it to his friend group along with the announcement that the gangster would be joining them (much to Chanyeol's annoyance).

"There!" Baekhyun leans over and kissing the grumpy looking boy on the cheek. "I got it over with so we're good to go!"

Just as Baekhyun pulls away, he feels his phone vibrate. Excitedly, he looks down and checks, only to feel kind of blindsided.

[ From: Ross ] Is that your cousin????

[ From: Ross ] He's cute!

Baekhyun frowns.

Chanyeol notices and tries to ask about it, but the brunet turns his back to him.

[ From: Lizza ] Is he single? Ross wants to know.

"Babe."

Baekhyun ignores him in favor of texting back and making sure that, no. The gangster isn't his cousin.

[ From: Baekhyun ] It's Chanyeol! My boyfriend! He came to visit me, dummies!

[ From: Jon ] Wait, so he's coming to Tahoe with us?

[ From: Ross ] I'm down!!

[ From: Maybe Sam ] where is he gonna stay?

Baekhyun really needs to save Jon's friend in his contacts so he stops showing up as "maybe"...

[ From: Maybe Sam ] is he going to split the airbnb with us?

"Baekhyun." Chanyeol touches the brunet's arm, causing him to jerk his head back at him. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing!" Baekhyun waves off quickly. "Just finally some plans! The group's a mess right now. People want to do this, other people want to do that... It's just— Um, very messy, Yeol. Everything's busy over the holidays."

Chanyeol looks at him carefully before relenting. "Okay. I'm gonna go take a shower and get ready. You should do the same," he says as he stands up from the table. Putting a hand on Baekhyun's head as he walks past him, the giant scuffles his hair before moving on. "Come on."

"You can shower first," Baekhyun replies, his eyes still glued on the phone. "I'll go after.

[ From: Baekhyun ] I can pay more for my share :) we can share a bed

There's something about Baekhyun's distracted-ness that makes Chanyeol feel... uneasy. Even though the brunet said it was fine, it didn't feel 100% fine.

Heaving his shoulders, Chanyeol stops walking and turns around, just enough for the latter to see his face. "So, you're not coming?"

[ From: Jen ] stop being ing rude

[ From: Jen ] @ baek, bring your boyfriend!! I want to meet him!

[ From: Maybe Sam ] i'm just saying this change is really last minute

[ From: Baekhyun ] Sam, you were last minute, too, just because Jackson couldn't come. I wasn't being a about it!

"Hm?" This time, Baekhyun meets his eyes. "Coming where?"

"Upstairs."

"I said you can go first, though...?"

Chanyeol pauses, unamused. "Okay, and?"

"And what?"

"Are you really this dense?"

Baekhyun puts his phone down for a second. The whole thing with the group is making him mad... Not even the group, just Sam. Maybe.

"About what about density?"

"Do you want to shower with me or not?" Chanyeol ends up saying it a little bit more frustrated than he means to. "Three seconds—One."

"Wait. Are you asking me if—"

"Two."

In the midst of pushing himself up, Baekhyun ends up moving the dining table—slightly. "In the shower? That's so dangerous!" He bites his lower lip. "But, it sounds fun and—"

"Three." Chanyeol raises his brows. "What's it going to be?"

Baekhyun looks around for a few seconds before grabbing his phone off the table and making his way over to the giant. "We're going to be , right?"

"That's what showering means, idiot." Still, Chanyeol puts his arm around Baekhyun's shoulder and drags him along. "We're not ing, though."

"Only touchies."

Chanyeol starts to regret even being there.

It's not like he feels like he doesn't belong even ( because Jongdae invited him), but because he foolishly figured that maybe—just maybe—things would feel different. A part of him wants to go inside the damn house and stop overthinking on the stupid balcony, but another part of him is saying that he should just go home. Hop off the edge, exit through the gardens, and get his motorcycle.

That seems so ing stupid, though.

All he needs to do is go back inside, say hi, and then leave. It's not that big of a ing deal.

Frustrated, Chanyeol heaves a sigh and turns back around in time to hear the sliding door leading to the kitchen close shut—loudly.

"Hi. I'm looking for my boyfriend. Do you know where he is?"
