3rd Person’s POV

[Jamsil Stadium…August 22, 20XX]

They entered the stadium, wearing black and white tracksuit together with team E. It was their first ISAC, even for Erika, but they were already being considered as the black horse.

“This is Ked’s first ever appearance in ISAC, but I got a feeling that she is good at sports.”

“Plus, we can’t underestimate Jeon Jeril Chase. Her form in their MV is no joke, I tell you.”

“Anika and L looks soft and gentle, but there’s a saying that looks can be deceiving, right?”

People were starting to talk about 4D as they entered together with the rest of rookies. They were grouped together in Team E, and it was actually great cause they all got along well.

“Welcome to Idol Star Athletics Championship of 20XX. This year is the year of extreme, on one side we have the best athletes together and on the other are the unknown gems.”

“We can’t guess who will come up on top in each category, and which team would win.”

Erika and Jeril started stretching as soon as they got in their line while Lei and Anika were smiling fondly as they watch the two being competitive, they already expected it somehow.

“You two are really going to win this, aren’t you?” Anika asked rhetorically but they nodded.

“In case you don’t know, my middle surname is C.” Erika stated. “It stands for Champion.”

“And my Chase was actually supposed to be Champion too. So, yeah, we must win.”

“You’re crazy.” Lei chuckled. But the rapperline don’t mind, as long as they win. Sports is a piece of cake for them, they wouldn’t let their first appearance end without an explosion.

They finished their stretching when it was time for oath. After that, they sat down to one side as the event finally starts. The first category is archery; it was Ked, L and Anika’s play. Chase wasn’t allowed, she’s a bit of hot-tempered and archery is all about calmness.

“Beat them up.” Chase whispered in a serious tone. “I don’t care who they are, beat them.”

“You know TWICE is in this category, right?” L informed but Ked and Chase weren’t listening.

“Don’t worry, she’ll eventually notice it soon.” Anika muttered, patting the maknae’s back.

They walked infront and bowed to the crowd, cause they were going to go first against EXID. It was actually a hard opponent on their first try, but they’ll do their best to win this one.

Anika got 9-8-10, L got 8-9-8, while Ked…as expected, she only stayed at the yellow side. It was 9-10-10. They won 81-76 and advanced to the semi-finals, only two opponents to go.

The next one is GFriend, which is one of the finalist in ISAC for more than once. But Anika and L were not worried because Ked was actually really good at archery. As always, the older girl is good everything. She scored all 10 points against GFriend, earning a lot of cheering.

“Ked unnie, you need to ease up.” Lei muttered. “Your TWICE is our next opponent.”

“I know.” Erika answered in a monotone voice, not showing any of her emotions out loud.

“Are you going to win this too?” Anika asked, and observed how the older girl let out a sigh.

“Whatever happens, remember that I will always be a ONCE.” with that, she turn around.

Anika is up against Dahyun and she bowed to the older girl before grabbing her bow. She doesn’t really want to go up against TWICE too, but she atleast have to give her best shot.

She scored 8-8-9 while Dahyun scored 7-8-8, it was a close game. They bowed at each other once more before changing players, it was the 2Son’s time. They smiled at each other before grabbing their bow. L got 7-9-8 while Chaeyoung got 9-8-8. It was only a 1 point difference.

Ked stepped up and grabbed her bow. She glance at Tzuyu and bowed before playing. She got a 10, Tzuyu followed and it also landed on 10. At the end, both of them got all 10s but 4D won with that 1 point difference. After the game, Erika ran and hugged the TWICE members.

“I’m sorry.” she mumbled, sobbing fakely at the arms of TWICE’s maknae line. “I’m so sorry.”

“It’s fine, you idiot.” Dahyun muttered, playfully slapping Erika’s shoulder. “You did great.”

“That’s the only way she knows how.” Chaeyoung commented, patting the leader’s head.

The next category is 60m running with Ked and Chase participating. They won easily cause TWICE weren’t joining any sports other than archery. After the 60m was wrestling, where Anika, Chase and L won silver. Then, rhythmic gymnastic where Anika won gold medal.

They participated in all category, and won either silver or gold (mostly gold when Ked is joining). The last one is the relay running, and all of the 4D members participated together.

“Alright, I’m only going to say this one last time…” Chase took a deep breath. “…Let’s win.”

They all stood in their respected place, Ked is starting the run then will passed it to L and to Anika, lastly Chase would bring the baton home. It was a solid formation for their group.

When the gun went off, Ked went off. She was at first place and the other participants were away from her when she passed the baton to L. The maknae run fast but the others managed to caught up with her. Still, she was in first place when she passed the baton to Anika.

The main vocalist ran with all her might to reach Chase but they still ended up last to pass the baton. It was no problem at all cause their main dancer stopped for a second before running crazily fast to get the first place…and she actually did. They won the gold for relay.

“We won.” Jeril smiled. “And because of that, I’m treating you guys something later.”

Turns out, what their prize from Jeril is a one-month membership in a gym. They should have expected that one, but they assumed something else. Jeril never fail to disappoint.
