3rd Person’s POV

[Southside Hospital…October 7, 20XX]

The three of them walked towards the front desk and asked for Jeril’s room. She was taken to the hospital when they returned to the dorm, apparently her mother was waiting there. As soon as she saw Jeril’s wounds and bruises, she immediately called the hospital.

So, here they are now. Heading to room 10 to visit Jeril and tell her the good news. But when they entered the room, Jeril was asleep. It was still 7PM, though.

“She fell asleep while waiting for you girls.” a nurse come in and smiled at them. “She told me to wake her up as soon as you arrive so…” she walked towards Jeril and woke her up.

Jeril opened her eyes and noticed them, making her chuckle. “About time. Where have you been?” she asked as she sat up.

“We went to pick Anika up after she talk to her ex-loverboy.”

“Ex?” Jeril looked at Anika with a questioning look. “You two broke up?”

“We did.”

Lei chuckled and motioned for Erika to leave with her. “We’ll give you two some time to talk.” she said as she grabbed Erika and the nurse and walked out of the room.

“So…you and Ivan, huh?”

“Yeah, I broke up with him.”

“I see.” Jeril let out a sigh. “Are you okay?”

“Better than before, actually. I’m glad that idiot’s out of my life now.”

Jeril chuckled and nodded. “Well, I guess I should apologize for that. I didn’t mean to ruin your relationship. If he were a good guy, I probably would have rooted for it.”

“It’s fine, you don’t need to apologize. In fact, it should probably me who’s apologizing.”

“What?”

“I’m sorry, Chase.” Anika held Jeril’s hand and played with it. “I’m such a bad bestfriend. I know you wouldn’t lie to me, yet I doubted you. You trusted me, yet I…”

“Hey, it’s fine. I don’t keep grudges, especially if it’s you. You know that, right?” Anika chuckled and nodded her head.

“So, how long will you be here?”

“One week. I’ll probably be out on the 13th or 14th, why?”

“Can I take you out on a date after you get released? To thank you…”

“Don’t say date, Choi. Our leader would tease us nonstop, if she heard that.”

“I DID!” Erika shouted from the other side of the door.

“Opps.” the two of them laughed.

“But I’m in with that. You better prepare for our date, though. I’m a very ‘judgy’ person.” Jeril joked and Anika playfully slapped her shoulder. “Hey! I’m still recovering!”

“Oh, shut up. Both of us know that you’re just acting, Chase.” that made Jeril laughed again.

“Visit me often, okay?” it was Jeril’s turn to play with Anika’s finger as she avoid eyecontact with the other girl. “I missed you.”

“Yeah, me too.”

Jeril chuckled and finally faced Anika. “That was probably the longest time that we didn’t talk to each other.”

“I don’t want that to happen again, Chase.” Jeril’s gaze soften. “I’m serious. You’re my bestfriend, I don’t want to be away from you ever again. Understood?”

“Ofcourse. You’re not getting rid of me soon enough, Choi.”

“What a pain in the .” they both laughed but stopped when the door opened.

“Are you two back together?”

“Unnie! You’re making it sound like they’re lovers.”

“Well, aren’t they?”

“WHAT? NO!”

“I’m kidding, geez. Anyways, are you two friends again? Like…bestfriends again?”

“We never ‘broke up’. It was just a quarrel, unnie.”

“Lovers quarrel?”

“Bestfriends quarrel. It happened, move on.”

Erika pouted and sigh. “Fine. Whatever.” she muttered at the same time her phone sounded so she grabbed it from her pocket. “Shoot. I got to go now. I have a recording in the studio.”

“Are you coming back soon?”

“No, I don’t think so. Do you want a ride, instead?”

“No, what I mean is if you’re going to have a comeback soon.”

“Oh…” Erika laughed and nodded. “Yeah, a repackage album. I’ll be busy for awhile now. Anyways, do you guys want a lift? I could take you to the dorm and leave after.”

“Yeah, I’ll come with you.” Lei turned around and faced Anika. “How about you, unnie? Are you going to come with us?” Anika seems to be contemplating, making Jeril shove her.

“Go on, Choi. I’m not going anywhere.”

“But…”

“I’m fine, Anika. Go home and rest, you had a rough day. You can just visit me tomorrow.”

“I will.”

“I know.”

The two of them exchanged smiles before they leave Jeril’s room. They headed back to the dorm and Anika immediately lay on her bed. It really was a rough day.

[Sae Young Dormitories…October 14, 20XX]

“Going to visit Jeril unnie again?”

“Yeah. She’s going to be released from the hospital today. I promised her that I’ll take her out if she did.”

“I see. Well, I’ll inform Ked unnie of your whereabouts. She’d been very overprotective after the incident with Ivan.”

“I understand. Don’t worry, I’ll be careful. Besides, Chase got me.” Anika winked at Lei before going out of the dorm, making the maknae chuckled as she continue her work.

The door opened after awhile and Erika entered the dorm. She saw Lei working on her table with headphones on but doesn’t see Anika anywhere. She approached Lei and poked.

“Where did Anika go?”

“Jeril unnie.”

“Oh…” Lei just smiled at her before facing her work. “They’re going on a date, aren’t they?”

“Yeah, she said she’ll take her out after getting released from the hospital.”

“I see.”

“Hmm…”

Erika nodded her head before her lips turned into a smirk. “Do you want to spy on them?”

“I thought you wouldn’t ask.” Lei muttered as she stood up with a smirk too.
