3rd Person’s POV

[Sae Young Dormitories, Dorm Room 4D…August 7, 20XX]

Jeril got down from the bunk bed and noticed that Anika and Erika were already asleep. She didn’t noticed their maknae but she guessed that she was also fast asleep in her top bunk bed so Jeril proceed to the kitchen to get some water.

After getting the water, she decided to sit in the couch for a while. And that’s when she heard someone talking outside their terrace. Immediately, she got up and approached the place where she heard the voice. As she come close, she realized who was the owner of that voice.

“Yeah, they’re asleep…No, I haven’t told them yet…The timing is not right, Tim…Yeah, goodnight…Oh, I love you too.”

Jeril’s eyes widened as she heard the conversation. She was too shocked that she didn’t even noticed Lei already stood up and was infront of her.

“J-Jeril unnie? What are you doing here? Aren’t you asleep?” Lei questioned “Did you…listen?”

“O-Only the last part.” Jeril confessed “Tell me…what was that all about? Are you in a relationship?”

Lei sighed before taking a deep breath and nodding her head “Yeah, I am.”

“WHAT?” Jeril exclaimed so Lei immediately cover her hands but let it go after Jeril calmed down “That was your boyfriend?”

“Oh. His name is Timothy Kim. He is also known as Kim Taehyung USA because they look identical. We started dating because he would always be kind enough to look after me. When I can’t go to the cafeteria, he’ll bring food to me. We met last year and then became friends and now…lovers.”

“Why didn’t you told any of us?”

“I was…afraid of your reaction. Plus, the timing is never right. You would always be out when I get home. Anika unnie would always be studying or else in her headphones. Ked unnie would also be either missing or tired. I didn’t have the time to tell and explain to you.”

“But they deserve to know about this, Lei. We’re a team, right?”

“Yeah…” Lei answered “I’m sorry.” she added, feeling guilty for keeping the secret from her unnies

Jeril sighed before pulling Lei into a hug “I don’t usually hug person but you look like you’re about to cry so I’m hugging you. Anyways, you don’t need to apologize. I understand and I’m sure our eomma and appa will understand too.”

“Eomma? Appa?”

“Anika and Ked.” Jeril answered as she broke the hug “They’ll understand if you explain. I’m sure of it.”

Lei smiled before nodding her hand and jumping into Jeril’s arm for a hug “Thanks, Jeril unnie.”

Jeril muttered an ‘ugh’ jokingly before she chuckled and patted the maknae’s back “No problem. But we should really sleep now. You don’t want to have eyebags, right?”

“Did you see my bag? Did you see my bag?” Lei sang ‘Mic Drop’ by BTS, making Jeril chuckled.

“You’re weird.” Jeril muttered as they went back to their upper bank beds and slept

The next day, Erika woke up earlier than usual. Anika was shocked but she composed herself and told Erika to help her cook for their breakfast.

“I can’t believe you’re up earlier than those two. You were always the last one to be awake.”

“Well, I’m not that tired yesterday.” Erika answered with her deep raspy morning voice that a lot of people fell inlove with “Besides, I think those two were up between midnight or something.”

“You saw them?”

“Oh, they were talking but I didn’t approached them and continued sleeping. You know I love sleep.”

“I do.” Anika chuckled as they started to cook “Anyways, why don’t you have some water? Your voice is raspy. Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. My voice is always like this when I wake up. It’s not affecting my vocal. It’s fine.”

“I see. That’s great.”

The two of them finished cooking and decided to wait for their maknae to wake up so they went to the living room to watch TV as they wait. After a while, the two woke up so they headed to the dining table.

“Leader nim said that she saw that two of you talking last night. Is everything alright?”

“O-Oh, everything’s alright.” Lei stuttered and Jeril gestured her to tell the unnie line but Lei shook her head, telling Jeril it wasn’t the time to and their silent conversation didn’t go unnoticed by the unnies

“Is there something wrong? Why are you talking with your eyes?” Erika asked as she ate her pancake

“Our maknae has something to tell you two later.”

“What is it? Why not now?”

“Uhh…I don’t want the pancake to be wasted.” Lei answered, guessing her unnies reaction

“Just tell us. The pancake won’t go to waste, I promise. If it does, I’ll cook again.” Anika convinced

“Fine.” Lei surrendered before taking a deep breath “The truth is…I’m already taken. I have a boy—“

Before Lei could finish, she was interrupted with Anika’s coughing because she choked on her pancake.

“W-What?” Anika stuttered as Jeril handed her a glass of water for her to drink “You have…what?”

“I have a boyfriend.” Lei finished, waiting for Anika’s scolding but she only received a long sigh “I-I’m sorry?” she stuttered as she still couldn’t figure out who her unnies would react

“Leader…” Anika called, facing Erika and hoping that Erika would scold Lei but when Erika looked up from eating her pancake, everyone was shocked to see Erika’s serious look “A-Are you okay?”

“Oh, what’s wrong? You called me, right?”

“W-Well…aren’t you going to scold our maknae?”

Erika took a deep breath before closing her eyes  and when she opened it, she stared into Lei “I was hoping not to scold you because I just woke up so everything I will tell you will either sounds harsh and hurt you or will sound like I don’t care about you.” she muttered in her deep raspy voice

“S-Sorry?”

“But since Anika told me to scold you, I will.” Erika stated “So…why did you enter a relationship when you’re at this age? You’re still young, you know that. You’re still immature so what made you think that you could stay longer in this relationship? You’re childish, Lei. At some point, you’re still a child.”

The three younger was shocked when those words came out of Erika’s mouth. It indeed sounded harsh with her raspy voice and serious look. Lei looked down, urging herself not to cry when Erika lifted her chin to make her face the older girl again.

“Tell that boyfriend of yours to meet us. I need to know if he deserves to be with you. We need to know who he is so…tell him to meet us today.”

“TODAY?” the three younger exclaimed and Erika just nodded before eating her pancake

Lei grabbed her phone and texted her boyfriend. After a while, her boyfriend replied that he was okay to meet them later at a café. Lei told it to her unnies so they nodded and Erika immediately stood up.

“Leader, where are you going?”

“I’m going to shower so we could leave early.” Erika answered before grabbing her towel and entered the bathroom

“Do you think she’s mad?” Lei asked, hoping that her favorite unnie wasn’t mad at her

“Aniya, she’s just like that when she woke up. After showering, she’ll return back to herself.” Jeril answered, earning curious looks from Lei and Anika “What? I’m always with her when she woke up.”

“Oh, right. So…she’s always mean with you?”

“She’s not mean. She just…sounds mean and scary. I don’t know. I don’t stay longer when she just woke up because she have this serious look and raspy voice.”

“After she showers, what happens?”

“She came back to being the Erika you guys are used to.” Jeril answered “Her husky deep voice is still there but she’s back to being Erika, don’t worry.” she added

And indeed, after shower, Erika was Erika. She ordered her members to get dressed so they could finally leave. After getting dressed, they headed to the café where they’ll meet Lei’s boyfriend.

When they arrived, they were shocked to see Lei’s boyfriend. He indeed look like Kim Taehyung from BTS. But Erika was shocked with a different reason because…she recognized that guy.
