3rd Person’s POV

[KBS 2 Building…August 14, 20XX]

Today is 4D’s first live appearance in a TV program. Ofcourse, everyone is nervous to perform. Erika didn’t gave them some speech this time as she kept dancing at the side.

“Is she nervous?” Jeril turned to Lei and asked their leader’s bestfriend about her state.

“I don’t know, she barely said a word to me when we first arrive at the venue…”

“Maybe she is nervous.” Anika stated, causing the two maknae to chuckle.

“Kim Erika Dane? Being nervous? That’s impossible to happen.”

“She’s just a human being, ofcourse it’s possible to feel.” they all turned to glance at their leader to see her repeating her part over and over again. “That’s what we also do, right?”

“I guess it’s time for us to cheer her up this time.” they walked towards Erika and patted her.

“What?” the main rapper asked in a firm voice, clearly annoyed with the interruption.

“We wanted to know if need help. You know, cause you…seem nervous.”

“I’m not nervous.” Erika bit her lips and look away. “I’m just afraid. I don’t want to mess up on the first time that we appear as a group. I know I talk big about confidence but…”

“You’re only human.” Anika approached Erika and wrapped an arm around her. “It’s okay.”

“I may have inherited my parents’ obsession with perfection, I really am a Kim after all.”

“Yeah, a confident Kim that we all love.” Jeril muttered, punching Erika’s shoulder softly.

“Cheer up, unnie.” Lei added. “Or do you prefer with us singing to I’m Fine once more?”

“Nah, I think I’m fine.” Erika answered with a chuckle and smiled fondly. “Thanks for cheering me up, I think I really need that after what we’ve been through to get here.”

“You’re always welcome.” with that, they head up to the stage with confidence.

After the performance, they were interviewed by the Music Bank’s MC together with the special guest of the week: Kim Minkyung and Kang Yebin from Pledis’ girl group, Pristin.

“Roa-ssi, Rena-ssi, I heard that you are fond of this new girl group. Care to tell us more?”

“Well, Erika is Roa unnie’s cousin and she’s a rapper so we got along well.” Rena answered.

“Can you show us the point dance of their debut song?” the Pledis girls immediately nod and danced to the 4D’s song. “Wow. If I didn’t know, I would think you’re all groupmates.”

The interview lasted for a few more minutes before the scene is cut and they were allowed a break as the other artists perform. Rena and Roa stayed with the 4D and chatted with them.

“Are you two a real ship too?” Jeril couldn’t help but asking, making the rest laughed.

“We’re not a ship.” Roa answered. “We’re a real couple.” she added, holding Rena’s hand.

“One more real ship of Ked unnie, then.” Lei mumbled, making Erika chuckle and whispered that all of her ships are real, so she couldn’t help but tease… “You’re telling me we’re real?”

“I don’t know.” Erika shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly. “You think I ship us together?”

“You’re mean!” Lei punched Erika’s arm repeatedly with a pout but the latter just laughed…

When it was Pristin’s time to perform, since they were having a comeback, Roa and Rena bid the 4D goodbye and went up the stage. Seeing that, they felt that the competition is tough.

Not only Pristin, but a lot of other groups also had their comeback. DIA, Weki Meki, The Boyz, and a lot more. There were even some famous soloist like HyunA, Junho and even Lee Hi.

“I think we’ll win.” Erika stated confidently. “Cause we’re not just a team, we’re a family.”

And true to her words, when the announcement came, 4D were nominated first place. They stood infront of the other artist and anxiously waited for the result of today’s Music Bank.

“Winner with votes passing the past records of fourteen thousand is…” suspense pause. “A group that’s been voted by twenty two thousand people, amazing, is the new group, 4D!”

Confetti flew down and fireworks blew up, but the four girls were just standing there in shock. The first time they appeared, they immediately received an award? This is amazing.

“Here you go, cous.” Roa handed the trophy and Rena with the flowers. “Congratulations.”

They were handed a microphone each to give each one of them a chance to speak. Erika went to say her usual speech with thanking the staffs, her members and her fans but added…

“I’m really glad I decided to be in a group, because right now, I don’t feel lonely anymore.”

Lei spoke next and said thanks to the staff, her members and the fans, adding her family to thank for. Anika also did the same, thanking her father eagerly for making this happen. While Jeril, she only spoke a few words. But those words made impact to everyone watching.

“We’ll do our best.” she said with a confident smirk and the crowd cheered for 4D’s first win.
