3rd Person’s POV

[Choi Entertainment…April 10, 20XX]

Lei, Anika and Jeril dressed up early in the morning to go towards their new workplace, the Choi Entertainment. They were scouted by a lot of entertainment, but decided on this one.

They were finally official trainees under an entertainment and they cannot wait to start their training. Entering inside the building, they started searching for their own training room. It was luckily their number, Training Room #4-D, so they easily found it.

“I wonder who our trainers are.” Lei muttered as she open the door of the room.

“I bet it’s Mr. Kang or Ms. Seo.” Anika answered, as she enter the room first.

“Whoever it is, I’m going to blow their minds.” Jeril said confidently…

“Oh, really?” a familiar voice interrupted, causing them to face the door and was shocked to see who it was. “You think you could amaze me with your skills, Jeon?”

“Are you--”

“Yeah, I am…”

“WHAT? WHY?!”

“Because Mr. Choi said so.” Erika entered the room and closed the door. “Goodmorning, 4D. I’ll be your personal trainer, my name is Kim Erika Dane. It’s nice to meet you.”

The rest of the group groaned while Erika chuckled. It was unfair to have your group member as trainer, but it was expected since Erika had been an idol for a long time and knew a lot…

“Don’t worry, I’ll train you well.” then, she smirked. “That means I won’t go easy on you.”

“Alright, first lesson: how to warm up like an idol and how to rest like an idol…”

“We already know that.” Jeril commented. “We’ve seen how you do it a lot.”

“Yeah, but this time I’ll teach you how to do it…properly. Alright, Jeon?”

“Alright.” Jeril answered and saluted, so Erika continued explaining how to warm up the body and vocal chords before proceeding to perform on stage, and it was actually cool…

“Now for resting, you must always treat yourself with a warm bath especially if your body is aching. You should avoid drinking or eating something cold while on schedule.” Erika gave a lot of tips to them before moving on. “Next lesson; invidual training. You first, Jeon.”

Jeril stood up from her seat on the floor and approached Erika. When she got there, their trainer smirked before handing a tablet to her, not the medicine but the gadget one.

“What do you want me to do with this?” Erika started typing something on the gadget and suddenly, an app popped up. “A reading test? You want me to do a reading test?”

“Yes. It helps you fasten how you read and how you speak.”

“That’s like a kid’s thing to do, are you sure you’re a qualified trainer?”

“Have you seen me rap?” Jeril nodded. “Good. Now, I was born with a lot of talent. But I still do what the entertainment wanted me to and that includes this, so start working.”

Jeril looked down at the tablet and started reading out loud the words. Little by little, the words started appearing and disappearing faster so she had to read fast enough to say it.

“Alright, that’s enough.” Erika got the tablet and put it in her bag. “Now, rap what you had just read earlier.” Jeril stared at her wide eyes because she already forgot what she had read.

“I-I…I don’t know, I forgot.”

“An idol needs to remember a lot.”

“Let me do it again.” Erika handed her the tablet and she tried to memorize the words she’s reading out loud…but couldn’t. So, she tried again, and again, and again, and… “DAMN IT!”

“Patience, Jeon.” the idol chuckle. “I was just kidding. Here, rap this.” she handed a music sheet and Jeril started rapping it out, Erika nodded in approval. “Now, put some swag.”

“Excuse me?”

“Swag…”

Jeril stared at Erika dumbfounded but did what she ordered anyway. And that’s when she realize that it was actually Suga’s fast rap in I’m Fine and she just rapped it with ease.

“Woah.”

“I know…”

Lei and Anika clapped their hands before Erika called their main vocal out. Jeril took a seat and continued practicing her rap while Anika went towards their personal trainer instead.

“You have an easy task, just sing EXO’s song ‘Monster’ that’s all.”

“WAIT, WHAT?!” the three other girls exclaimed in unison.

“It’s easy, I know. But if you listen to the song, it uses different styles of vocal singing. It goes slow, fast, jumping up and down. You’ll realize it as you sing, just don’t rap please.”

Anika pouted at the insult of her rapping skills but proceeded to sing anyways. And what Erika said was right, the song did use different style of singing and it uses the chest voice.

She easily passed it, though. But Erika had another trick up her sleeves…

“Now, I want you to try singing it while dancing. Do the high note too, okay?”

Anika did what the trainer ordered and actually managed to made a few mistakes, causing Erika to smirk even more. The girl approached her and pressed her abdomen suddenly, before asking her to sing once more but without dancing this time and she did…

“Did you notice a similarity when I pressed your abdomen with how you dance?”

“Right, it both showcase my chest voice more than just singing it while standing up.”

“That’s right. Now, I want you to sing that song a lot, you can either dance or press your stomach.” Erika shrugged. “And don’t forget to sing the high note, alright?”

Anika nodded and went to sat down, Lei stood up instead and went to Erika. The leader cleared to stop herself from saying something cheesy like Lei is already perfect…

“Now as lead vocalist, you need to be ready to back Anika up when she do the high notes.”

Lei nodded her head and agreement and watched as Erika got another music sheet from her bag and handed it to the younger girl, it was TWICE’s Dance The Night Away and Chillax.

“You need to sing those songs too, the raps are easy so try practicing it.” Lei nodded and went to sat back down and sing the songs. “You will all do this task for two weeks, okay?”

“All of us?” Erika nodded. “Are we going exchange our tasks too?”

“Yeah, ofcourse. We’re creating a multi-talented group, learn everything.”

“For two weeks?” the idol nodded once more. “Is that enough? How are you going to know that we had improved?” Erika smirked and shrugged her shoulder casually.

“I’m not going to judge you, someone else will.”
