3rd Person’s POV

[Sae Young Dormitories…April 30, 20XX]

The monthly evalution is coming soon so 4D is preparing for their performance to show the professional trainers. They were the last performer and before them…is the Fourth Mix.

The Fourth Mix had been the talk of the entertainment before the 4D ever came. They were rumored to be the next to debut. They consisted of four trainees; Ong Merlin, Nayoung Cho, Rianne Tuan, and Do Seunghee. All of them are talented at their own respected position.

Merlin is the main dancer, Nayoung is the main rapper, Rianne is the main vocal and Seunghee is their maknae. They are considered to be 4D’s rival in the entertainment.

“We must beat that Fourth Mix.” Jeril said intently. “I’m going to crash that Meringue girl.”

“Her name’s Merlin, Jeon.” Erika muttered, appearing at the door. “And we’re friends.”

“Aren’t you friends with every girl around?” Jeril grinned, making Erika glared at her.

“She’s right, though.” Anika commented, appearing from the kitchen instead. “Not about the Meringue girl, but about the beating Fourth Mix. I, seriously, think Rianne is annoying.”

“You’re just annoyed that she’s a great main vocal too.” Lei teased, sitting from the couch.

“I admit she’s a great vocalist, but she’s also an annoying brat. That’s what annoy me.”

“Yeah, she’s really good at teasing people.” Erika chuckled. “But she doesn’t mean harm.”

“Do Seunghee definitely does.” Lei joined in. “Yesterday, she put shoe glue between my shoe and the floor. I had to rip it so it would be removed, instead it was destroyed…”

“She already said sorry and even bought you a brand new shoes, please let it go…”

“That doesn’t change the fact that she pranked me. And why are you defending them?”

“They’re my friends, I’m close with everyone in the entertainment and that includes them.” Erika sighed. “So please, let’s not take this seriously. It’s just a friendly competition, okay?”

They other girls hesitated but eventually nodded in the end, Erika was still their leader after all. So when the evaluation finally came, they decided to just perform their best today…

“Hey, 4D.” Merlin greeted, smiling at Erika. “Goodluck today. And watch us properly, Ked.”

“Ofcourse, definitely.” the idol said with a chuckle. “You guys are great performers.”

“Oh, you flattered us too much, but thanks. I hope you enjoy, see you later…”

Merlin winked at Erika and patted her microphone softly at the latter’s shoulder before running up the stage to start their performance. They are going to sing GOT7’s If You Do…

The first one to sing was Merlin and she winked once more at Erika, causing Lei to glare. Then, Nayoung rapped and Rianned sang the chorus with Seunghee. So far, they’re the best group that performed. No wonder they were rumored to debut next in the entertainment.

“I must admit, they’re really good.” Jeril said, shaking her head. “But we will still win.”

“I’m not going to disagree with you in that.” Erika smirked. “We’re the one who’ll debut.”

And there was the egoistic idol they all love. Fourth Mix’s performance ended and the crowd clapped their hands for them, even the trainers was impressed with their performance…

“Alright, moment of truth. Hands in.” Erika held out her hands and they chanted together.

The four of them climbed the stairs and positioned themselves. They were going to sing BTS’ Let Me Know with the choreography that Erika and Jeril created together. It was going to be epic, considering that the two rappers were both melancholy while creating the dance steps.

On top of this ending tune, I am standing here alone

They finished the whole song and the crowd cheered for them, making them felt great. They smiled at the crowd before going down the stage. Fourth Mix was waiting for them below.

“Great performance as always, Ked.” Merlin complimented. “And…uhh…you guys too.”

“Geez, thanks.” Jeril sarcastically muttered, and Lei also rolled her eyes in the background.

“You guys did great too.” Anika said with a fake smile on her face, making Erika facepalmed…

“Alright, that’s enough. Let’s just go back to the crowd and wait for the result.” Erika went and dragged her members away from the other group and took them to their assigned seat.

The trainees that would win today’s evaluation have great chances to debut this coming July. That’s why they did their best performance, they wanted to debut soon enough together. If they can’t debut this July, they would be debuting next year at January or February…

“The coaches and trainers have come to a decision…” Mr. Choi announced. “And our choice is a group of trainees, it’ll be the newcomers who immediately rosed up…It’s the 4D.”
