3rd Person’s POV

[Sae Young Academy of Arts…June 22, 20XX]

Lei entered the practice room but once again, Erika wasn’t there. ‘Seems like she did get mad.’ Lei thought as she put her phone on bluetooth speaker then played the song and started practicing. Lei’s part was Kim Taehyung’s/V’s so she practiced singing his parts.

I still can’t believe it

All of this seems like a dream.. Ayo~ Oh~

Don’t try to disappear. Yeah~

Lei was singing as she dance the choreography of the song. She was a Bangtan fan/ARMY so she memorized the choreography beforehand. However she wanted to practice her parts as V, her bias.

Butterfly, like a Butterfly

The rap started, making Lei stopped since it was Erika’s part. She was feeling guilty. Erika was an idol who doesn’t even need to practice but she always make time to be with their unit. Lei stopped the music and sat on the floor.

“Ked sshi was our butterfly, huh?” Lei muttered when she realized that Ked was like a dream to be their teammate but they let go of her so she flew away “We’re idiots.” she added and played the music again

Jeril was sitting on the floor while leaning to the door of their practice room, listening to Lei’s practice. She was guilty too because Erika trusted her in a lot of singing parts even without knowing how she sings. Erika assigned the parts to them.

Kim Namjoon/RM, Min Yoongi/Suga and Kim Seokjin/Jin which has less singing parts was Erika’s part because they were careful not to strain her vocal chords. Park Jimin was Anika’s part while Kim Taehyung/V was Lei’s. Jeril were assigned to do Jeon Jungkook and Jung Hoseok/J-Hope’s part.

“Why did that idol put Jungkook oppa’s part to me? She doesn’t even know if I sing well.” Jeril muttered but then she remembered what Erika said before when they were assigning the part

“You don’t need to sing great. As long as it came from your heart, with all of your feelings into it, your voice will always be a melody to the ears. You can do great, trust me. I don’t make mistakes in choosing.”

“Why is she always so confident with herself?” Jeril asked with a scoffed but then she admit to herself that what Erika said gave her courage “Aigoo. That idol sure knows how to make someone guilty, huh? Tsk, tsk.”

Jeril stood up and took a peek to Lei before going to her mother’s office.

“Mom…”

“Hey, J. Why are you here? You should be practicing.”

“I know. Can I borrow the key to the rooftop?”

“Sure.” the Principal said as she got the key and handed it to Jeril “Why, though?”

“Just like what you said…I should practice.” Jeril said with a smile before running towards the rooftop

Anika was laying in the rooftop while wearing her headphone when the song suddenly turned to ‘Butterfly’ making her sing along. Then she remembered that it was the song they’re  going with.

“Aish…what the heck are you doing, Anika Iniel?” Anika muttered “How can you be an idol if you don’t know how to collab with someone? You don’t even practice. Do you still want to be an idol or not?”

Anika felt like an idiot, fighting with herself. But she was feeling guilty and it was the only way to lessen the guilt she’s feeling. No, there was another way. She immediately stood up and made the song on repeat then put the phone in her pocket.

Anika started dancing the choreography while singing Jimin’s part when it came up. She was too focused in dancing that she didn’t realized someone already opened the door of the rooftop and was now watching her practice.

When Anika glanced sideways, she jumped up when she saw Jeril watching her. She immediately took off her headphone.

“How long have you been there?”

“I don’t know. I was totally focused watching you dance.”

“Creepy.”

“Creepy? I was watching the choreography. I don’t know the dance steps so I focused in watching.”

“Oh…I thought you were watching me.”

“Ew, now you’re being creepy.” Jeril answered then walked towards Anika “You dance great. You should be considered as the lead dancer.”

“Stop flattering me, Chase.”

“I’m telling the truth. But anyways, why don’t you teach the choreography to me? You seems to memorized it already.”

“Ofcourse, I’m an ARMY after all.” Anika said proudly “Wait…you’re going to practice? Really? YOU?”

“Why are you emphasizing that I’m going to practice? Is it really a big deal if I do?”

“Uhh…yeah? I mean…forget it. Alright, I’ll teach you. But you better learn fast because I’m not repeating it for the third time. I’ll be doing the dance twice. TWICE, okay? Watch carefully.”

“I will.” Jeril agreed with a nod and watched as Anika dance “I think I get it. It’s actually easy considering that the beat is slow. Do it one more time and I can copy it.”

“Alright, then. One more time.” Anika muttered then she danced the choreography again “Got it?”

“Got it. Thanks.” Jeril said as she played the music in Anika’s phone and started dancing “How was it?”

“W-Wow…you memorized it. That skills of yours is suited for an idol, you know. Why are you against to be an idol, anyway?”

“I just don’t want to. Anyways, should I start singing too?”

“Yeah, so that you could complete practicing your parts. You know which parts to sing, right?”

“I know. Jungkook oppa’s part and J-Hope’s.”

“That’s right.” Anika said when she realized something “Did you just call him ‘oppa’? Are you related to Jeon Jungkook?” she asked when Jeril put her finger on Anika’s lips

“Sshh…” Jeril warned “Who’s there—President?”

“I saw you practicing. Why are you two doing together, huh? Are you two are like bestfriends now?”

“No, we’re not.” Jeril and Anika answered at the same time

“Alright, I’ll continue teasing later. For now, how about we practice together? We’re a unit, right?”

“Right. Let’s start, then.” Anika stated as she played the music

They tried again and again but something is missing, somewhere. The choreography is correct and their parts were sang perfectly, except for Jeril because she was still focusing in perfecting the choreography.

“There’s something missing. We can’t…synchronize or whatever. What’s the problem?”

“Me.” a voice interrupted

“Ked sshi…” Lei muttered “You’re the problem?”

Erika made a poker face then sighed as she approached them “I’m not the problem. But I’m the ‘something’ that’s been missing your practice.”

“Ohh…I think I got it. Sorry, I thought you were being humble and saying you’re a problem.”

“Me? A problem? No way.” Erika said “But…how about we practice together and see if you got what you’re looking for, hmm?” she added and played the music

All of them danced as they sang and rap their parts. Jeril’s singing and rapping was good but they decided to leave the commenting after. When they’re done, they realized that Erika was right.

“You’re right. We did got what we’re looking for.”

“Ofcourse, I’m right. I’m always right.” Erika answered confidently “Look…we may be different with each other but we can’t do this unit mission on our own. Let’s work together as a unit to complete it. Starting now, okay?” she asked and the others nodded

“You should be our leader, Ked sshi.” Lei interrupted “Your skills is worthy to be a leader.”

“Really? You’re passing the ‘leader’ position to me? Are you sure, President Panda?”

“Yeah. I think Anika and Jeril would also agree, right?” Lei asked and the other two nod their head “So what should we do first, leader-nim?”

“I like the way you call me.” Erika said with a wink “Alright, then. Let’s practice 5 consecutive times until your legs became rubbly like a rubber. Let’s go!”

“5 consecutive times? Can we do that?”

“No complains, Jeon.” Erika scolded then she smirked “And ofcourse, we can. Nothing is impossible.”

‘Yeah, Ked sshi is really worthy…to be leader.’
