3rd Person’s POV

[Tagaytay, Philippines…February 21, 20XX]

Anika locked herself and wouldn’t come out ever since they had arrived in the Philippines. She would only come out of the room to get her food and lock herself again.

Her mother tried to get her out at first, but surrendered after two days. She didn’t bother to care, she is still mad at her. And even more that she’s starting to talk about transferring to another school. It wasn’t decided yet…or so she thought.

Knock, knock…

“Hindi ako lalabas, ma.” [Translation: I’m not going out, mom.]

“Meron lang akong sasabihin.” [Translation: I just want to tell you something.]

“Whatever it is, I don’t care.” was Anika said, but she actually stood up from her bed and approached the door to properly hear what her mother would say to her.

“I’ve already taken care of your files, you’re transferring to University of the Philippines.”

“YOU WHAT?” Anika opened the door immediately and glared at her mom. “WHY?!”

“Why? Because I’m starting your life here, this is what you’re supposed to do”

“That is what you want me to do. Why the hell are you ruining my life?”

“I’m doing what’s best--” Anika cut Mrs. Choi off by slamming the door close. She locked it and ran back to her bedroom to cry. This is one of the rare times that she actually cry out.

She needs to get away immediately. So, she waited for her mother to leave before going out of her room. But as soon as she went out of the house, there were a lot of bodyguards.

“Tsk, san ba si kuya?” [Translation: Tsk, where is my brother?] “I need him right now.”

Carefully walking away from the house, avoiding being seen by the bodyguards, Anika actually made it to the backyard. But before she could leave through the backgates…

“Miss Anika, anong ginagawa mo?” [Translation: Ms. Anika, what are you doing?]

“M-Manong Troy…uhh…I was just observing the flowers. I’ve been in my room for awhile.”

The head guard didn’t seems to believe her as he began to walk towards her. But before he could hold Anika, he suddenly dropped down on the ground. With wide eyes, Anika looked up and was shocked to see who knocked the guard out. She had missed this face…

“Chase…”

“Hey, miss me?”

“You idiot, ofcourse I do!” Anika ran towards the other girl and tackled her down on the grass. Jeril tried to calm her down but she was just relieved to see her bestfriend arrive.

“Alright, alright. Thank me later, but we have to leave now.”

“How are we going to do that? We can’t use anything here right now.”

“Who said we’re going to use your things? Leader brought a private plane here.”

“They’re here too?” Anika looked around like a cute little kid, making Jeril chuckle as she pointed to the roof of the Choi’s mansion. “YOU GUYS LANDED ON OUR ROOF?!”

“What? No! They’re hovering on top of the house right now. And keep quiet.”

“Right, right. I’m sorry. Let’s go back inside then, and head to the attic.”

“Yeah, that’s where I entered. And I knocked some guards out.”

“Wow. Really? I didn’t even noticed anything on the way.”

“I’m good at being subtle, now let’s go home.” Jeril held Anika’s hand and they started to walk back inside the house with subtlety to avoid being seen by some bodyguards.

They actually managed to arrive at the attic without being seen. Jeril crouched down to let Anika use her as a stand to climb the roof, the ladder was left in the third floor and it would risky to take it. After Anika had climbed up, Jeril followed. She jumped like a professional.

“How did you do that?”

“I came from Japan, I’m a ninja.”

As soon as they got at the roof, the helicopter slowly touched down and the door opened. Lei was holding her hand out for the two to grab and she pulled them inside the plane.

“Wow…” Anika muttered. “This is amazing. But where’s Ked unnie?”

“In here.” the door to the pilot seat opened and Anika saw that Erika was driving.

“You know how to drive?” their leader nodded. “Yeah, somehow I already expected that.”

“Actually, Suga was supposed to drive us but there was a conflict in Bangtan’s schedule so he couldn’t come. Ked unnie had to be the pilot even though she’s not registered yet.”

“Don’t worry, they won’t notice that I’m unregistered.” Erika chuckled and started to flew the helicopter away from the roof. They observe the bodyguards panicking and laughed.

“We’ll be in big trouble because of this.”

“I don’t care, as long as we’ve got you back.”

“That’s right, they can do the hell they want after.”

All of them suddenly became quiet after Lei said those. Mrs. Choi can do a lot of things, causing them to be worried at what would happen after she noticed Anika is missing.

“We’re going to jail.” Erika joked to easen the atmosphere, but none of them laughed. “Oh, come on. There’s nothing wrong with saving our friends, trust me. It won’t be a problem.”

“That’s right.” Anika agreed. “My mom can’t do anything when the four of us are together.” then, she smiled softly at them. “You guys are crazy for doing this…but I really love you.”

“And we love you too.”
