~*~Yunho’s P.O.V.~*~
I couldn’t help but smile as I watched her eat her bowl of ice cream like a kid. It was Friday and we decided to go to an ice cream parlor near our school before going home. It was a simple celebration, a simple treat for her because she got the highest mark in the science test. I promised her that I’ll give her anything she wants if she gets a mark that’s higher than mine in any subject test. She accepted the challenge and successfully won over me and all she asked for was ice cream. She’s definitely cute and I couldn’t help but smile with every moment that I am with her.
“Aish… Stop staring at me like that.” She whined and then pouted. I chuckled at how adorable she looked at that moment, especially when she had chocolate ice cream on the corner of her lips. I smiled as I took my handkerchief and used it to wipe the ice cream off her face.
“Aigoo, you eat dessert like a kid.” I teased and she blew me a raspberry.
“Thanks for the ice cream, oppa.” She said with a childish grin on her face. I smiled and nodded. We continued eating ice cream until the bowl was empty. She let out a soft burp and blushed in embarrassment as she covered and muttered an “Excuse me.”
“Seems like you’re already full.” I remarked, earning a violent punch on my left arm.
“Say, Junhae…” I began a new topic in an awkward manner. “ My parents would like to meet you soon.”
She choked on her drink right after I finished what I said. “Bwoh?” She asked in a surprised manner.
“My parents would like to meet you soon.” I repeated and I could see panic in her face.
“Really? H-how soon?” She asked frantically as she looked into my eyes.
“I don’t know. How about tomorrow?” I suggested excitedly and she eyed at me nervously.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. I mean, I don’t think I’m quite ready. What if they won’t like me?” She bit her lip and I gave her a pat on the shoulder. I felt guilty for startling her.
“They don’t bite.” I joked. “They’re excited to see you. I’m sure they would like you.”
“Well, okay. I guess that’s fine.” She agreed hesitantly. “I mean, I would have to meet them sooner or later.”
I gave her an encouraging smile. “It’ll be fine. Trust me…”
Saturday came and my family had everything prepared. Everyone was really excited to meet Junhae.
They all seem to be happy for me because I’ve finally found a girl that will accept me for who I truly am.
At 9:00 in the morning I went to get myself ready. I took a shower and put on decent clothes. I went to fetch Junhae at her house. Her step family was away, shopping at the mall as usual and Junhae was left at home. She came out in a nice pink dress. She smiled as she got inside the car.
“What’s that?” I asked, pertaining to the container that she’s holding.
“Oh, this? It’s just a little something I made for your family.” She replied with a smile.
“So, are you ready?” I asked as I held her hand.
“Dae…” She simply replied. “Though, I’m a bit nervous.”
“Just be yourself. Everything will turn out fine…”
