~*~Yunho’s P.O.V.~*~

Days have passed since the day I confessed to Junhae. We grew more awkward around each other. I couldn’t find the right words to tell her.

I just couldn’t help but feel a bit bothered and wonder why she sort of rejected my confession. Is it because of Changmin? I couldn’t restrain myself from slightly envying him, but I knew I should respect Junhae’s decision no matter what.

“Mr. Jung Yunho!” Our student council moderator slightly raised the tone of his voice, calling my attention.

All the student council leaders were having a meeting for the upcoming teachers’ day, where in, we are going to replace our teachers and teach the students in our campus. I was clearly not paying attention, since I lose my focus from time to time, because of Junhae.

“Uhh… Dae?” I asked as I turned my attention to my seonsengnim.

“Please pay attention. This announcement is very important. It’s for the upcoming students take over activity for teachers’ day.

“Dae, mianhe seonsaengnim…” I said as I hung my head low, feeling slightly embarrassed, after being the center of attention in the meeting for not listening well.

“Anyway, as I was saying… This Friday, student council members are going to take over and take in charge of fellow students, for teachers’ day. I expect you to be responsible and become good teachers to students. Here’s the list of partners in the activity and the sections you’ll teach and take charge of. Good luck, do your best and have fun.” Seonsaengnim continued as she handed me the list and left. My fellow student council members, crowded towards me to take a look at the list. I looked at the list too and saw my name and Junhae’s name. We’re partners and we were assigned to a preschool section.

I met eyes at Junhae and she gave me a shy, but hearty smile. I smiled back at her as my heart skipped a beat.

~*~ Friday: Students Take Over Activity~*~

I woke up early in the morning, feeling very excited about the activity, but mostly to be Junhae’s partner. I straightened my necktie and fixed my new polo shirt. I’m not gonna wear my uniform today, coz today, I’m a student teacher. I imagined Junhae in a formal dress, and I felt my heart beat rapidly in my chest.

I went down to eat breakfast with my family. It is going to be a long day, so I have to eat to get lots of energy. Especially when I’ll be handling and chasing cute but extremely hyperactive children.

I went to our dining area. Dad was reading a news paper while sipping coffee, mom and Jihye were already eating pancakes. I smiled to myself as I looked at the wonderful sight of my family eating together at breakfast. It was rare for me to see since; we are all very busy all the time.

“Good morning Appa, Umma and Jihye-ah!” I greeted them with a smile.

“Ah, Yunho-ah, good morning son, here sit beside me.” My dad greeted me back as he put the news paper down and tapped the chair next to him, gesturing for me to sit there. “Starting today, I want to make it a habit that we will be having breakfast together as a family. We don’t spend much time anymore, because of work and school. We only see one another in the morning.”

“That would be very nice…” My mother replied with a smile.

“That would be really fun to do Appa.” Jihye and I said.

I smiled at my dad’s efforts to spend time with us. He isn’t a perfect dad, but I know he is a good dad and I know that he’s working hard to make it up to me, after everything that happened.


After we finished eating our wonderful meal, Appa went to Sanghyun-hyung’s house to discuss things with him. I felt a bit worried, but dad promised that he won’t hurt hyung. Honestly, even if hyung was a bit harsh on me, I don’t want anything to happen to him. Even if he’s like that, he’s still my hyung after all. He’s my cousin and we’re still blood-related no matter what.

Our family chauffer drove Ji Hye and me to school. I proceeded to the classroom first to meet up with Junhae. She was already at the corridor with her visual aids, books and other materials that we needed for teaching.

“Kang Junhae-sshi!” I called her and she turned around and focused her whole attention to me. I felt my heart beat fast in my chest as I looked at her in her dress. She looked extremely gorgeous in it and the smile that she wore made her look even more beautiful than ever. She was truly mesmerizing. It’s like I could stare at her all day, without getting bored.

“Yes?” She asked with an evident blush across her cheeks. I must’ve been making her feel uncomfortable with staring at her like that…

‘Aish Jung Yunho… You’re scaring her…’  I mentally scolded myself.

“We should go, now. The kids are waiting…” I told her and she replied with a simple nod.

I grabbed her wrist and kind off dragged her to the classroom of Kinder-Amethyst.

We entered the room full of adorable children. They were staring at us in awe as we entered and walked towards the teacher’s table.

“Good morning Oppa/Hyung and Unnie/ Noona” The little boys and girls said altogether.

I’ve always liked children. I’m sure this will be fun. It’s like I’m the dad and Junhae is the mom and thse adorable students are our children. Kekeke…

“Good morning,  everyone!” Junhae said cheerfully. Her cheerful and adorable personality couldn’t help but capture me.

“Annyeong dongsaengs!” I said with a smile. “We are your teachers for today. I’m your Yunho-oppa/ Yunho-hyung and this girl beside me is your Junhae-Unnie/ Junhae-noona.”

“We hope that we’ll get along very well, even if we’ll only be spending a short period time with one another.” She said with a shy, but sincere smile.

“To start of the day, let us get to know more about one another, arasso?” I added.

Junhae and I told them more things about ourselves and let them introduce themselves on by one.

“Are there any questions?” I asked them after Junhae and I met everyone in our class.

A little girl then raised her hand eagerly. I smiled and turned my whole attention to her.

“Yes… Byul Yi? It’s Byul Yi, ne?” I asked making sure that I called her by the right name. It was surely hard to memorize lots of names. The little girl nodded with a smile. “So, what’s your question, little miss?”

“Are you and Unnie together?” She asked and I was taken aback by her question. Seriously, do kids as young as four or five years old know about those things already? I looked at Junhae and she flushed crimson-red.    

“Y-yah… You’re only children and you already know that stuff…” Junhae remarked, nervously.

“Unnie, you’re blushing, do you like oppa?” Byul Yi asked with a cute grin on her face.

“Children, let’s just proceed to our lesson.” I tried to change the subject as I rummaged into Junhae’s things to get the visual aids to proceed in teaching.

“Awww, but oppa, you haven’t answered us yet!” A little girl from the last row complained, making me nervous.

“Yeah, oppa, that’s not fair!” other young girls began to join in protesting as well.

“ Neh, Hyung, don’t you like Noona? She’s very pretty….” One little boy, named Inhwan asked, in a cute, yet straight-forward manner.

Other little boys began to give side comments and violent reactions as well.

“Ah… thanks, Inhwan-ah. You’re very adorable…” Junhae said with a smile.

The class was starting to get very noisy.  I knew I had no other choice…

“Fine alright… I think she’s pretty and adorable, does that answer your question?!” I finally gave in and turned around to pretend that I’m looking for visual aids and posting them on the board when in reality I was just hiding the blush on my face.

“Awww, that’s so sweet…” the little girls in our class teased us.

The boys, weren’t that much interested, since… well… they are boys…

I sighed to myself. This is going to be a very long day….
