Chapter 2

How I Met Your Appa

Chapter two

It was the first day in the band. Minseok and Lu Han sat against a wall, looking analyzing at the others. Yi Fan stood together with a boy as tall as himself wearing a big black hoodie looking somewhat tired or sad or mean. By Yi Fan's other side, Joonmyun was standing, looking kind of misplaced between the two cold looking guys, but nonetheless he looked like he was enjoying himself, telling something supposedly funny.

In the middle of the room, the place where most noise seemed to come from, three guys stood: one tall, one short and one in between. Minseok and Lu Han recognized the tall one as Yi Fan's roommate, Chanyeol. He was a very nice guy; a bit loud, but really funny and kind. The other two were known as the loud boys. They were the trolling ones. And conveniently enough, they had become trainees about the same time and immediately became friends, slowly dragging Chanyeol with them down the trolling end.

Then in one corner a person sat alone: he had black hair and big staring eyes that were now looking around at the others, just like Minseok and Lu Han were doing. His name was Do Kyungsoo, and he was a really good singer; Lu Han had heard him in a singing class. But he was shy and didn't have many friends. Suddenly he got eye contact with the two looking at him. His eyes seemed to drill a hole in Lu Han and Minseok, who both quickly turned their eyes away, avoiding to look at him again. He probably didn't mean to look at them like that, as though he could kill them with his glare, but still they didn't dare looking back at him.

Up against another wall, three allegedly tall guys sat, talking and laughing. The dancers. They had become really good friends through their dance. They were really nice all of them, really kind, brotherlike and shy. But once you got to know them, it seemed like that wall of shyness would fall down, as all of them were now talking and laughing, not thinking about all the others in the room.

The reason all of them were gathered in this room, was because their manager had told them to get to know one another. He had told them that this were the people they were going to make a band with. They hadn't been told who their leader was going to be, or perhaps a reason to be so many people. But they had all seen each other before and there were both singers, rappers and dancers. All to make a perfect band.

"Hey, guys!" Chanyeol, who stood in the middle of the room, said loudly, making everyone look up at him from the floor. "I was thinking that maybe we should introduce ourselves and start to get to know one another? After all, we're going to be a band and we have to know at least what each others' names are."

"I think most of us already know everybody's names," the short one said quietly, but still loud enough for all of them to hear it in the silent room.

"Anyway." Chanyeol quickly shot a glance at him, before continuing. "Even though I too enjoy hanging out in these small groups, that was what the manager told us to do. So what do you say?" He looked around expectantly and with a big smile on his face, waiting for an answer.

"Sure, let's do that," Joonmyun finally replied after a moment of silence, making everyone return to their senses. Everyone silently went closer to the middle and awkwardly sat down in a circle.

"So what should we do?" Chanyeol's other friend asked. "Should each one of us say our name and why we're here? I mean, our talent."

Some slowly nodded, indicating it was a fine idea.

"Okay, so I'll start!" Chanyeol said, as no one made a further sound. "I'm Park Chanyeol, 20, and I am a rapper, dancer and singer. And besides of that, I am very good at acting, drawing and playing the guitar." As he said this he had the biggest mischievous smile on his face, and the person sitting to his left laughed. "What?!" Chanyeol looked at him.

"You are so not a dancer!" This person was one of the three tall guys who had been sitting up against the wall: he had short dark hair, thin lips and narrow eyes; especially when he laughed.

"Sehunnie!" Chanyeol exclaimed. "You cannot say that to me, I'm your hyung!" It was obvious that this was meant as a joke, especially if you knew that these two were actually good friends, and some of the boys couldn't help but laugh a little. Even Minseok couldn't hide his smile.

"You are a rapper and nothing more," his short friend exclaimed with a slight mumble, probably due to nervousness.

Chanyeol faked a hurt look on his face as he shot his mouth open as if in shock. "Baekhyunnie! I can too play the guitar!" He looked at the others with a face looking as if he felt slightly above the others. Of course this too was part of his plan to make them smile and loosen up.

"Fine!" The boy he had called Baekhyunnie rolled his eyes. "But you are neither a singer, dancer nor actor, and you probably can't draw either." Chanyeol rolled his eyes too, but still smiled.

"Next!" Chanyeol exclaimed, turning to his friend, Baekhyunnie.

"Okay!" the short boy smiled, suddenly forgetting about the recent subject, but still feeling quite flustered, as to his hesitation and keeping his sentence short and accurate as he said: "My name is Byun Baekhyun, 20, I'm a singer."

The others slightly nodded at his introduction and turned towards the next person, Chanyeol's other friend.

"Honestly speaking, the first thing you need to know about me, is that I am a way better singer than Baekhyun!" He placed his arm around Baekhyun who glared at him with narrow eyes. "Besides I'm more handsome! Good looking! A better dancer, too..!" He got interrupted by Baekhyun's snort!

"If you can dance, then I am the master of dancing!" he exclaimed, suddenly forgetting about the curious listeners filling out the rest of the circle.

"Oh really?" the boy raised his eyebrows. He took the arm he had put around Baekhyun's shoulder off and put it on his own side instead. "You want a dance off? Seriously? So they all can see that I am the better dancer?"

Baekhyun and the boy was about to stand up, but before they got to it, Chanyeol stopped them.

"Hey hey hey! I don't think that's a good idea! You wouldn't want to show our new band that we're doomed because of you two, would you? And besides, Jongdae you didn't introduce your name and stuff!"

The two glared at each other shortly, but suddenly became two wide grins.

"Alright!" the boy who was in the middle of introduction said. "My name is Kim Jongdae, as if you didn't know, and I am 20 years old."

"Good!" Chanyeol said. "Next!" He smiled to the boy sitting next to Jongdae, which happened to be Minseok.

"Um," Minseok said, realizing it was his turn. He took a quick glance at Lu Han, who smiled reassuringly at him. Suddenly Minseok became more calm. "I'm Kim Minseok and I am 22 years old."

"And why did you become a trainee? I mean, what did you do at your audition?" Chanyeol asked friendly.

"I am a singer," Minseok replied.

"But he can also rap!" Lu Han exclaimed. "And dance!" he said happily, making Minseok a bit embarrassed as he looked at the ground. Luckily they changed the subject as Jongdae took the word.

"Are you not Korean?" he asked Lu Han who shook his head.

"No, I'm Chinese."

"You speak well for a Chinese!" the tall boy next to Chanyeol blurted out. It seemed as if he didn't think before speaking, due to the way he hurriedly covered his mouth with his hand, like a little child accidentally saying a bad word. Luckily for him Lu Han smiled at this, apparently reassuring the others that it was okay to laugh at the said words.

"Thank you! I have lived here for some time now, I am a Chinese exchange student," Lu Han explained, and everybody listened to him as if he was of a new species.

"What's your name?" Chanyeol asked interested.

"Lu Han."

"Age?"

"22."

They suddenly became quiet, staring at Lu Han like he was already an idol.

"Actually in China you call the elder brothers for ge instead of hyung," Lu Han said to break the silence. "Not that I want you to call me that, it's just... um... interesting." He started to become nervous due to all of the staring faces examining him from top to toe.

"Alright!" Chanyeol remembered. "Next?"

"You forgot your talent, hyung," Joonmyun reminded Lu Han with a smile.

He nodded repeatingly as he said: "I'm a singer." And all who had stared at him turned their attention to the next person: the cold looking guy who had talked with Yi Fan. Suddenly he didn't look so tough anymore, more like nervous and small, as he slightly looked at the ground.

"I am Huang Zitao. I am 19 years old. I am a... um... I can rap," the boy said in broken Korean.

"Where are you from?" Baekhyun asked him.

Zitao quickly glanced at Yi Fan who sat next to him and smiled reassuringly. Then he looked at Baekhyun and said. "China."

Lu Han looked interested at him. Now they were three Chinese members, as he knew that Yi Fan was Chinese, too. He smiled at Zitao, but Zitao didn't look at him. Then they went on to the next boy, Yi Fan.

"Hello, my name is Wu Yi Fan. I am 22 and a rapper," Yi Fan said confidently. "I'm also from China."

"You're the Canadian, right?" Baekhyun said. "Chanyeol has told me about you."

"I'm from China, but I have lived in Canada a couple of years, yes."

"Can you speak English?" Baekhyun asked with a slight smirk.

"Yes, I can," Yi Fan said in English and all of them were in awe.

"Do your introduction in English!" Baekhyun begged and Yi Fan laughed. As he had said his introduction in English all of them were once again amazed.

"Should we continue?" Yi Fan said and laughed at the members staring at him admirably.

"I'm Kim Joonmyun, 21, and I am a singer," Joonmyun said and smiled at all of them.

"You're Korean?" Baekhyun said and Joonmyun laughed as he nodded. "Sorry, just making sure there's no Chinese left. Apparently they all sat in a row!" The members laughed and then looked at the boy next to Joonmyun: the boy with black hair and staring eyes. The boy named Do Kyungsoo.

"I am 19. I'm Do Kyungsoo and I can sing." The boy mumbled, looking down and as though someone would laugh at him. But no one did. Instead everyone became silent and there came a somewhat awkward tension.

"You're a good singer," Lu Han said quietly and smiled at Kyungsoo who looked up at him with surprise plastered on his face: his big eyes wide open and his lips slightly parted.

"Yeah, you are!" the boy sitting next to Kyungsoo agreed, patting his leg. It was one of the dancers, and he smiled at Kyungsoo who happily smiled back.

"So what's your name?" Chanyeol asked the boy, and everyone turned their attention to him.

"Me?" the boy asked and Chanyeol nodded. "I'm Kim Jongin. Um, I'm a dancer. And I'm 18." Jongin shyly smiled and looked to his right, waiting for the next introduction.

The boy looked surprised as if he only realized now that he was suppose to say something. "Um, I'm Chinese," was the only thing that came from the shocked boy. His cheeks became a slight pink when he realized what he had just said. The boys on each side of him laughed, but everyone else around the circle smiled at him reassuringly, as to say that it was okay.

"My name is Zhang Yixing. 21. I can dance." He nodded at his own words and stared out in space with wide-open eyes and a confused expression on his face.

"That's fine," Chanyeol said and was about to move on, when Baekhyun interrupted.

"Ugh, another Chinese!" he exclaimed, but they could all see that he was joking. Apparently all but Yixing.

"Um," he said as his eyes grew wider. "I... I can speak Korean a little, but I will become better!"

The boys all tried to hide their laughter at the poor guy, but Yixing noticed anyway and looked even more confused.

"He's kidding! Don't worry," Jongdae reassured him and he nodded, but still looked dazzled. "Don't laugh at him!" He warned Baekhyun who was clambering his stomach. "Don't listen to Baekhyun, he's an idiot. You should all learn this: never listen to Baekhyun, 'cause he will make fun of you!" he said to everyone, and Baekhyun suddenly stopped laughing and stared angrily at Jongdae, apparently getting Chanyeol's laugh started. "What?!" Jongdae exclaimed with a shrug to Baekhyun. "It's true."

Baekhyun pouted and crossed his arms, making Jongdae roll his eyes.

"Go on," Jongdae said to the last boy, ignoring Baekhyun by his side.

The boy looked shy, but on the other hand he had been the one laughing the loudest every time something funny happened. "I am Oh Sehun, I'm a dancer and I'm 18." He ended with a cute smile reminding of a baby. Lu Han and Minseok couldn't help but notice his obvious lisp.

"Let me guess," Baekhyun said, still kind of pouting. "You're the maknae?" Sehun looked at Jongin who happened to be the same age as him and he nodded. "And we're supposed to think that you are 'oh so cute'?"

Sehun looked shocked and his narrowed eyes became round.

"Baekhyun, calm down," Jongdae said. Baekhyun pouted again.

"Baekhyun, what's going on? Why are you suddenly so moody? Sehun is my friend, and he is cute!" Chanyeol put his arm around Sehun and pulled him closer, making Sehun smile without intending to. Baekhyun didn't say anything.

"But who's the oldest?" Chanyeol asked and looked towards Minseok, Lu Han and Yi Fan.

"I am," Minseok said.

"Really?" Jongdae said. "But you look so young." Minseok just nodded, not really sure whether it was a compliment or not.

The boys all sat on the floor talking and laughing, getting to know one another. Lu Han and Minseok learned that Chanyeol and Sehun were really good friends, and so were Jongin and Kyungsoo. Beside of that, Jongin was best friends with Taemin of the band SHINee: apparently they had been roommates and had practiced dance together. They learned that Baekhyun and Jongdae were best friends and that Baekhyun knew the martial art, hapkido. Zitao was also a master in the martial art, wushu, as he had been practicing since he was five years old. They got to know that Yixing could both sing, play the piano and the guitar, besides from dancing, and that Yi Fan could draw. And even though they knew, they got to know that Suho had been a trainee for 7 years. And the members also learned about Lu Han and Minseok's friendship and their shared love for both coffee and football.

When the time was almost five o'clock the manager came back, attracting all of the boys' attention.

"Listen up, everyone!" he said. "I hope you have got to know one another, because you are a team now. A band. And as you have probably already figured out, you all need to have stage names being in this band. So my mission for you is to find your stage name by tomorrow. And tomorrow we will start the real practice. And don't worry, you will have enough time getting to know one another even more - but through practice and in your own time."

Everyone turned their heads and looked at each other. They were still sitting on the floor, but not more in the former circle: for example Sehun had had his head in Chanyeol's lap before the manager came in, and so had Jongin in Kyungsoo's. Baekhyun and Jongdae had sit with each other's backs up against each other, and Yi Fan had laid on his stomach on the floor: he still did.

"Another thing: there's a reason why you are so many members. We are splitting you up into two bands, but you will still be one!" Once again the members looked at each other, but this time with slight daunted facial expressions. "We will divide you into two teams of six. These bands will start by doing activities in either Korea or China, but you will all get to do both. Therefore there is going to be both Korean and Chinese versions of each song. This is also a reason we have gathered four Chinese members, and they are obviously going to do activities in China." As this was said Lu Han first looked at Yi Fan and the other Chinese members, and then at Minseok, kind of sad not getting to be in the same band as him. Minseok returned his sad look. "But of course two Korean members will be in the Chinese band, as to split you up equally. You will get further notice tomorrow." With this the manager turned around and walked out the door, closing it behind him.

"So we're going to get split up?" Sehun asked with an almost blank expression, but still looking sad. Chanyeol nodded at his question, and petted his hair as Sehun laid back down in his lap. "But I've just started to like you all now..." Sehun pouted.

"We're going to be one band, but at different places," Baekhyun cleared up. "But I think we will meet each other again and practice together, right?" he asked everyone, but nobody answered as nobody knew.

"So the only ones established is the Chinese?" Jongin asked and Jongdae nodded. "But who's going to join the Chinese? I can't speak Chinese."

"We'll learn," Jongdae said. "And it's not up to us who will be in which band. As for now, all we have to do is to come up with a stage name."

"I already have mine!" Sehun exclaimed happily.

"What is it?" Kyungsoo asked.

"Sehun!" Everybody laughed at him as he said this, and Baekhyun said: "But that's already your name! You can't be called that!"

Sehun looked sad and thoughtful at this. "What about Hun?" Nobody said anything, as all of them were now in deep thoughts themselves.

"I forgot to tell you." The manager came in the room again. "We have found the leaders of the band." The boys looked excitedly at him. "There will be a leader in each team, and one of them will be the head leader for the whole band. Are you excited to know who it is?" He looked around at the boys, who had all lifted their heads, now either standing or sitting upright. "We have decided that your leader in the Korean band will be Kim Joonmyun!"

Everybody looked at Joonmyun who looked both confused, surprised and dazzled. But it was also clear that it was an honor to him being this.

"And Wu Yi Fan will be the Chinese band's leader." Yi Fan looked surprised for only a second, before turning back to his unaffected looking. "Joonmyun will be the general leader, when this is said. Do anyone of you have a problem with these matters?" The manager looked at Joonmyun and Yi Fan, before turning to the rest of them. Everyone shook their heads. "Then I will leave you again. Goodnight." The manager left and the boys stared at Joonmyun and Yi Fan.

Both Joonmyun and Yi Fan looked as if they didn't know what to do, like they weren't sure if the managers had made the right decision. But everyone else kind of knew that these two would make excellent leaders.

Chapter 64: Hey - was so happy when i saw that you uploaded again. A really nice chapter. I loved that little Taekai Moment here ♡ i mean i dont know what you are planning with the next chapter - but when you still conclude this idea with the children playing pranks on their parents / uncels i would be really happy and really would like to see Taemin suffering in finding is lost cellphone and keys ('again') and the others but mostly Kai a little bit ....i don't know annoying....-- you know i have that scenario where they insult each other a little bit who lost what and when and kinda be mean to each other ( but not like 'totally - mad' more like 'i-am-sulking-bec-youre-so-mean-to-me'), and Kais Chicken and how it's now ruined with all the spice and OF COURSE the others members and they beloved stuff and all. and at the end when they all are a little bit lost with themselves the kids reveal everything - it would be a really cute chapter.

I mean for me , when i am writing this here it seems like a lot and all , and i am really , Truly sorry when you dont like this kinda comments where people suggest ideas / or like me ideas who are .... kinda detailed and stuff like this .

So yeah , just wanted to say pls dont feel pressured in smht like that and write what you want , it was just my weird ideasn imagination and wish .

But whatever you write , i will be excited and happy to see what you write ( bec i love youre writing style) and youre ideas - so see you until the next chapter. ♡♡☆☆☆

P.S - and ummmm...yes i am a er for Taekai so pls dont be mad that i only been and was detailed about their part - just can't get enough from them. ♡♡

Chapter 60: Ahhh- a new chapter. I had to read the previous chapter to remember what happend and to understand but that's okay xD. I can't remember if you take suggestion or wishes but when yes I have 2 - 1: it would be great if you could do more Taekai moments (+ with they children) because I think there is not much of them. And 2: if this Ship could have a argument? I know it's a family AU so it would be more friendly but I think it would be cool if you could see how the children reacts when there Parents are arguing and a little flashback of them when there where idols and had a fight too. I think it would be the best if you could do then this two things in One. Like one Taekai Chapter.
I hope you could understand what I was trying to tell and I will wait for your next chapter.
