Chapter 40

"What happened next?" Jonghyun asked Kyungsoo.

"Then your papa and uncle Jongin were real jerks who..." Baekhyun began, but Jongin interrupted him.

"Don't ruin the story, will you," he said with a slight smirk and a wink at Kyungsoo's direction, before the two continued the story.

Baekhyun and Chen pushed him towards the closet.

"And why do I have to get it?" D.O. asked.

"Because we're not allowed to touch Luhan hyung's stuff. But he won't harm you, because... well, you're scary," Baekhyun answered.

D.O. looked at him with narrowed eyes, hesitating, not really sure what to believe. "And why do you need his stuff?"

"Because we need to show Chanyeol, that they have the same shirt," Chen said. The two had practiced their excuse, they had practiced their plan thoroughly.

D.O. still looked suspiciously at them. Then he shook his head, sighing, figuring that it was just one of their stupid ideas he probably wouldn't understand. But it was true though; Luhan wouldn't dare hurt or scold him, as much as he would to the other two, if he noticed that they had stolen his clothes. Therefore, he shook it off, entering the big 'closet' of Luhan, Chen and Lay. But as he entered and reached for Luhan's closet door, suddenly everything became dark.

"Hey, what the hell?!" he shouted at the closed door.

"I'm sorry, D.O.," he heard Chen say.

"It's for your own good," Baekhyun said.

"What do you even mean by that?" D.O. yelled.

"Turn the lights on, Kyungsoo," one of them said.

D.O. found the light switch and looked around the room.

"Mmh!" it came from a pile of clothes, as if someone or something tried to say something, and a second later D.O. saw that 'something' move. He went closer and quickly pulled the sweater off the creature, so he could see what it was.

"Jongin?!" D.O. exclaimed with wide eyes. "What are you doing here?"

Kai was sitting in the corner, tightly tied with a thick rope and a piece of duct tape over his mouth, preventing him from speaking.

"Mmh!" was all he could say. He had wide eyes and obviously wished to tell something.

"Oh, right!" Luckily D.O. understood his gesture, kneeling beside him and taking a grab of the tape. "This is going to hurt, so I'll do it very slowly." He slowly started ripping the tape off, making sure it didn't hurt Kai. When he had finally freed the area of his mouth, only missing the other cheek, Kai could speak.

"Just rip it off quickly," he said, looking straight into D.O.'s eyes.

"You sure?" D.O. asked. Kai nodded.

"The sooner it's off, the sooner I can kick their asses!" he said. D.O. nodded and quickly ripped it off like a band aid. Kai grimaced, showing his pain.

"Are you okay?" D.O. asked worried, because of Kai's facial expression.

He nodded. "Just one more reason not to go easy on them when I get out."

D.O. couldn't help but smile. Exactly what he thought. He looked at Kai. His whole body was tied up. His hands were tied behind his back, his feet were tied together, and everything ended in a well made knob placed neatly by Kai's pelvis. D.O. blushed. God, he hated those two!

"Um..." he started, motioning to the knob with his eyes.

Kai looked down. Then he sighed. "Just untie it. Please. I can't do it by myself. My hands are tied with the same rope." He looked begging at D.O.

"So you're okay with me... um..." D.O. really had no idea how to end that sentence. "I mean, I might accidentally..."

"Yeah yeah, I don't care," Kai said. "I just want to get out of these ropes." D.O. nodded and started to fiddle with the knob.

"Tell me why you're here, while I untie this," D.O. suggested.

"Well, I don't even know how I ended here. I think they tied me up while I was asleep. I woke up, sitting in here with a blanket or something over my head. I didn't know where I was. I was actually pretty scared that someone had kidnapped me. I was really happy when I saw your face," Kai admitted, looking at D.O.

"It was Baekhyun and Chen," D.O. said, still fiddling with the rope.

"Yeah, I figured. I heard you guys outside," he sighed. "I just don't know why they would do something like this. I mean, I know they like teasing and all, but I never took them as mean. I was really afraid that someone would kill me."

D.O. didn't say anything, having a really bad feeling about why Baekhyun and Chen had done something like this.

"Are you done soon?" Kai asked after five minutes.

D.O. shook his head. "It's really tight. But I'm trying." Kai sighed. "I'm going to kill the two when I get out of here," D.O. mumbled, suspecting why they had tied the rope there. Kai giggled, without knowing D.O.'s suspicion.

"Finally!" D.O. exclaimed. Fifteen minutes had gone by with him fiddling with the knob. They hadn't spoken for a while, but D.O. didn't mind it since he was too absorbed in the taken work. He wrapped the rope off of Kai, taking it off his feet and hands, and Kai could finally move. He stood up, storming to the door.

"You two!" he yelled, slamming on the door. "I know you're out there! Let us out now so I can choke you!"

"Wow, that's not really a tempting offer," Baekhyun's voice could be heard from outside. "But I'll tell you how you can get out."

"Just let me out now." Kai's voice was almost inhuman; it sounded more like a growl of a wolf, than of a man.

"I'll only let you out, if you do what we ask you to," Baekhyun said. As D.O. and Kai seemed to listen to him, he continued. "It's obvious you two like each other. Have you heard of '7 minutes in heaven'? No? Well, it's pretty simple. You just have to be locked in a closet together - usually it's only for seven minutes, but we're free all night - and then magic is made. You have to kiss. And you have to send us a picture as evidence."

D.O. could feel the heat in his cheeks, and was glad that Kai was facing the door instead of him, so that he, D.O., only had to face Kai's back. He would so get Baekhyun back for this.

"We won't let you out for less. I'll sent D.O.'s phone through the door."

Kai knelt down to the crack between the door and the floor. When he stood back up, he had D.O.'s phone in his hand. He handed it to D.O., and as Kai was facing him, he noticed that Kai was just as pink in his face as he probably was himself. D.O. couldn't help but smile, but quickly gained back the reality when he stood with his phone in his hand. He turned it on and flipped through it, looking for a number he could call.

"Oh, and I've deleted all of D.O.'s contacts - except mine - so that you can't call anyone for help," Baekhyun said, like he could read D.O.'s mind, as he couldn't find any of his numbers. Damn him. "Bye." They heard the two leave and sat down by the wall.

They didn't say anything for a while. Just sat there, next to each other, staring blankly into space, probably with the same thoughts in their minds: they were so going to get revenge for this.

"So..." Kai said after a long time of silence. "What are we going to do?"

D.O. shook his head, not really sure how to react to the thing they would probably have to do to get out. Again, they sat some minutes in silence.

"You don't have your phone with you, right?"

Kai shook his head, feeling his pockets to be sure. "No, it's probably lying on my bed. Sorry."

It became silent again.

"Can I ask you something?" Kai looked at D.O. after a moment. D.O. nodded. "What did Baekhyun mean by 'you obviously both like each other'?"

D.O. blushed. "I accidentally told Baekhyun that I like you," he said hesitantly. "Well, not really actually. He guessed it."

"Oh," Kai just said, looking away again. D.O. wasn't sure how to respond to that; he'd practically just confessed to the boy, and all he got was an 'oh'!

"I don't know what the 'both of you' part means, though," D.O. mumbled, looking away from Kai. He did feel a bit insulted that Kai didn't say anything back. And vulnerable - something he didn't like feeling at all!

"Are you really not going to say anything?" he exclaimed after a while of more silence, and looked at Kai again with a slight rage. "I just told you that I like you, and you're just saying 'oh'?!" Kai just looked at the ground. D.O. narrowed his eyes, but then stood and started walking around the room to get drain for his rage. Kai looked up at him with slight fear on his face. "I like you, Jongin! And I'm just going to say this at it is, because - let's face it - we're not going to get out any moment soon! At first we were only friends, but then we started flirting and teasing each other, and I've gained feelings, that I've never had before! To be honest, it scares me a little how much I need you, when you're not around me, and how much it hurts me, when you go flirting with someone else! I hate this feeling, Jongin. But most of all it really hurts me, when those two forced me to confess to you, and you only responded with an 'oh'. I've never been in love, and I never really thought much about it, but I did think that when I sometime in the future would fall in love and confess, they would have the guts to say they like me too." This time D.O. looked at Kai with a hurt expression. He wasn’t angry anymore, as much as he was sad. He didn't really like talking about his feelings, and therefore never did it, so for him to come with such a speech with so much heart in it, Kai knew he had hurt him really bad. A single tear fell from D.O.'s eye, and apparently this was what it took for Kai to take action.

Kai stood and went to D.O., wrapping his arms around him, despite the older male trying to push him away. When D.O. finally gave in with the struggle, they stood like that for a moment: Kai with his arms around D.O., who was completely and utterly hid in Kai's bigger form, slightly sniffing in Kai's scent as his head was buried in his chest. D.O. thought he could hear Kai's heartbeat and feel his chest rise and fall, rise and fall, to the rhythm of his breathing. Something that calmed him down.

D.O. sniffled one last time, when his tears had finally had free run and seemed like they wouldn't fall anymore. This, Kai took as his cue, and finally let go of D.O., taking a few steps away to look at the small frame in front of him. D.O. looked at the ground embarrassed, while he dried his eyes with the back of his hand.

It took a few minutes of silence, before Kai said anything. He'd stood there, looking at D.O., waiting for D.O.'s breathing to calm, and as he spoke he had a slight rusty sound to his voice, that D.O. adored.

"Kyungsoo," he said. D.O. didn't look at him, so Kai stepped forward, placing an index finger under D.O.'s chin, lifting his head to look at him. "I like you. I really do," he confessed. "I just didn't think that you liked me. Why would someone as amazing and talented as you, like someone like me?" D.O. rolled his eyes, but Kai just continued. "You'd probably think I'm a player, sleeping with Sehun right after breaking up with someone else. But I hope not. And the only reason I play and flirt with everyone else, is because I thought it would ease the heartbreak. The heartbreak of never being with you."

D.O. didn't say anything for a while, probably making Kai a bit nervous on the inside. He knew that Kai didn't like talking about his feelings either, so it must have been true what he told him. "So did it?" D.O. finally asked. "Ease the heartbreak?"

Kai slightly shook his head. "My eyes would always go searching for you." Then he did something that took D.O. by surprise: he leaned down to D.O.'s height, leaning in closely to his face, and kissed his lips. It was a soft and tender kiss but still hard and passionate; a kiss one could only dream of. D.O. let himself be dragged into Kai's scent and taste, and gave in to the feeling; he couldn't possibly do anything else. They had both closed their eyes, and D.O. felt his knees starting to turn into jelly, but then their lips broke apart, and they both panted heavily. D.O. looked at Kai with open mouth.

"I'm sorry," Kai said. "I'm not the most romantic speaker, but my point is that I like you, Do Kyungsoo. And I hope you can forgive me for the kiss, I just couldn't resist myself." Kai looked at D.O. with his puppy eyes, making it impossible for D.O. to be mad at him.

A minute passed, but then D.O. finally stepped forward, hugging Kai by surprise. And when Kai understood, realized D.O.'s intentions, his widened eyes closed, and his lips turned upwards in a smile.

"So? What are we going to do?" D.O. asked Kai, as they sat with their backs against the wall in the little room and with their fingers intertwined.

"I don't know," Kai said, looking down at their hands with a smile. Then he smirked. "Kiss maybe?"

"Jongin!" D.O. slapped Kai's arm, and Kai grinned.

"I mean, we have to if we want to get out, right? And they need proof, so we have to send them a picture," Kai explained, like his intention wasn’t at all to be misunderstood.

D.O. thought about it with narrowed eyes, while he looked at Kai's smirking face. "Okay," he said and nodded. Then he took out his phone and got the camera ready. "We better just do it." Kai looked surprised, but only for a millisecond, before leaning forward with a satisfied smirk.

As D.O. leaned back and looked at the picture, he hesitated. "You know what?" he said and Kai shook his head. "I don't want to send them this."

Kai's eyebrows furrowed. "Why? Don't you want to get out?"

"Yeah, but not like this. I don't need them seeing our first kiss on a picture. I think the first kiss is something special, something precious. Something meant to be hidden and treasured by only the people doing it, not by everyone else. It's an intimate moment, I don't want them to ruin it," D.O. said with a shrug. Then looked down, suddenly getting embarrassed by his somewhat weird thinking.

Kai smiled at how cute the older boy was. "You know that wasn't our first kiss."

D.O. looked at him. "I meant as a couple." He blushed. At this Kai only smiled wider. He took his hand once again, which he had let go off when they kissed, and locked their fingers together.

"You're cute," he said and pecked D.O.'s nose. "You're lucky I accidentally have Sehun's phone number memorized."

D.O. looked at him with a shocked facial expression, wide eyes and open mouth. He slapped Kai's arm. "Why haven't you said that before?!"

Kai shrugged with a smirk. "And miss out on '7 minutes in heaven' with you? Never. Only the more time alone with you, the better." D.O. couldn't help but smile and blush again. Then he gave Kai his phone.

To: Sehun

Get help! Sitting in a locked closet!

Kai

From: Sehun

Why do you have DO's phone? Have you stolen it??

Kai rolled his eyes.

To: Sehun

No you big pabo! I'm sitting in a closet WITH Kyungsoo. Get help!

From: Sehun

Why? Doing something dirty? You could have at least found a nicer room...

To: Sehun

The two morons have locked me AND Kyungsoo in it together!! Just get Luhan hyung for god's sake stupid!

We're in Luhan, Lay and Chen's closet! Get Luhan! Hurry!!!!

Kai rolled his eyes as he finished the conversation with a sigh. D.O. giggled. Kai turned his head and looked at D.O. and he couldn't help but smile.

"I can't believe you're mine," Kai said.

"We have to make up a plan!" D.O. said, after a quick peck on the cheek. Kai looked at him questioningly. "For revenge! We have to get back at them." Kai nodded and the two started making up strategy.

"But that's not a reason to lock somebody in my goddamn closet!" someone said from outside the door. Kai and D.O. had finished making their plan, and were currently leaning against each other. But as they heard Luhan's voice, they both looked up with big eyes.

"But it was so convenient! The perfect place," Chen said.

"And why did you need one of my shirts anyways? What do you need my clothes for?" Luhan asked, sounding pretty mad - well as mad as a deer can get.

Inside the closet Kai and D.O. smiled at each other with satisfaction. Of course Luhan would get pissed. It was the two's rightful punishment. Well, one of the punishments.

"Can I ask you, Luhan hyung, how did you know about this?" Baekhyun asked, sounding suspicious.

"Sehun. Why?" Luhan answered, apparently not thinking more to it. D.O. could only imagine Baekhyun and Chen's shared and targeted look at this information about a new prey. Oh, Sehun was going to regret he ever helped the two and decided to trust Luhan hyung.

"Um, can we get out?" Kai then asked from inside the closet. "I'm really tired of being in here!" He quickly kissed D.O. before standing up.

"Oh, right, of course!" Luhan said, when he suddenly remembered all about the reason he had come. He opened the door, and D.O. and Kai was met by a whole different kind of light. And of course, three staring faces.

"So?" Baekhyun asked excitedly. "How'd it go?" He could practically have jumped up and down by mere excitement.

Kai shook his head. "Never. Do. That. Again!" he growled angrily with his eyes targeting at Baekhyun and Chen like they were his prey. "I can't stand him!"

Baekhyun and Chen shared the same expression of wide open eyes and open mouth, as if in shock. Luhan also widened his eyes.

"What?" Chen asked dumbfounded.

"I believe you heard me," Kai said with narrowed eyes. He started walking away, and called back over his shoulder, just as he was about to walk out the room. "And don't think I won't revenge this. You're going to regret you ever did anything to annoy me." With that he left. Baekhyun and Chen stood back with taken aback expressions; both out of surprise and in fear. Then they turned to D.O.

D.O. just shook his head. "I can't believe you did that. How did I ever become friends with you? I thought you were just pranksters and stuff, but that you were even mean... I'd never imagined." He walked out the closet.

"But you like Kai! I know it!" Baekhyun said convinced, but D.O. just glared at him.

"You really think I would enjoy spending a whole day in a closet with that player?" D.O. said with a huff. Then he was gone, too, leaving Baekhyun and Chen speechless, and Luhan forever confused.

"Wait, hold on," Aron said, putting a hand in the air and furrowing his eyebrows. "So you weren't together?" he asked Kyungsoo and Jongin, who only smiled.

"Yes, we were," Jongin answered.

"But how come you talked so badly about each other?" Aron asked, still confused.

"We put up an act," Kyungsoo said.

"Were you a player, appa?" Changjo asked. "And what's a player?" Some of the parents giggled, waiting for Jongin's reply. But instead Taemin gave one.

"Your appa wasn't a player," he said, and Kyungsoo continued.

"I only called him a player, to call him something bad."

"But what's a player?" Changjo asked again.

Jongin hesitated. "A player is a person who have had or is playing with a lot of people in a short span of time or at the same time. For example, if I was together with eomma and at the same time dated uncle Kyungsoo. Then I think I would be considered a player."

"You are a player!" Baekhyun said and stuck out his tongue at him for fun. Jongin sent him a glare, since he was destroying his current explanation.

"Baek," Jongdae mumbled and Baekhyun looked at him, but didn't say more.

"But why did you put up an act, uncle Kyungsoo?" Luna asked Kyungsoo.

"Because we wanted to get revenge on Baekhyun and Jongdae for locking us in a closet together. Even though we actually didn't mind it - after all, we did end up dating after that." Kyungsoo smiled.

"And it was a stupid revenge!" Baekhyun said.

"Only because you fell for it." Jongin stuck out his tongue, just as Baekhyun had done towards him a few moments before.

"Tell us, appa!" Namjoo pleaded.

"Not tonight. That'll have to wait for tomorrow," Chanyeol said and stood up with Taehyung in his arms. The boy grinned when Chanyeol carried him in his arms and legs. "Now it's time for bed!"
