Chapter 48

How I Met Your Appa

Angry Byunghun :3

Chapter 48

Right after lunch - Kyungsoo and Jongdae had made sandwiches - the kids wanted to stay at the beach and play some more. The parents agreed after putting more sunscreen on them and themselves but told them to only stay on the sand - it could be dangerous to go swimming right after eating. The adults stayed by their blankets and towels, talking and getting tanned. But Zitao and Yi Fan decided to go for a walk.

"So, do you keep up with your Chinese?" Yi Fan asked the younger. They had their arms linked to each other and enjoyed the view as they walked along the shore. Both spoke in Chinese.

"Yes... but it's a bit challenging when your husband is Korean and you live in Korea," Zitao answered.

"How about your kids?" Yi Fan asked.

"I teach them. And Sehun. They've gotten better." Zitao smiled. "They have to, you know. It's not like they grew up with Chinese the same way your kid has. We live in South Korea so we focused on teaching them Korean from their births, but I'm Chinese and my family is from China, so we've always made them keep up with that side too. They know how to speak Chinese, but I think it's important to continue to speak Chinese to them, so they won't forget. Sehun has also gotten a lot better, you know, so he's a lot of help, too."

Yi Fan nodded and listened interested to what Zitao was telling him. He knew that the two four-year-olds were better at Korean than Chinese, but this was the years to be teaching them. And he understood the troubles of his friend; when you live in Korea there will be the Korean language all around you, but as Zitao is from China one can't blame him for wanting to teach his kids Chinese, too.

"It's really nice out here." It was Zitao himself who changed the subject. He looked along the waves of the blue ocean, with an almost melancholic smile on his face. Yi Fan glanced at him and then back at the sea.

"Yeah," he replied thoughtfully. "It's so beautiful on the beach..." A teasing smirk played across Yi Fan's face. "Too bad you're not wandering alone..."

"Are you ever going to let that go?!" Zitao exclaimed and slapped the laughing Yi Fan - although he couldn't quite contain a small smile himself.

Yi Fan shook his head. "Nah, too funny," he said.

"You're not stealing my husband, are you?" Sehun came over and linked his arm with Zitao's other.

"Not like you stole mine." Yi Fan raised his eyebrow at the maknae, who just smirked.

Back home, the kids started playing around the house, while some of the adults sat outside on the terrace with a glass of wine, planning a little bit of what to do the next couple of days.

Ji Yong was sitting on the couch with a notebook and a pen, scribbling down some words, when suddenly all of his smaller cousins came over to him.

"Oppa, play with us," Namjoo said and sat on the couch beside Ji Yong. He looked at her with one eyebrow raised.

"No," he said and turned his attention back to the notebook.

"Why not?" Minki asked.

"Because."

"Because of what?"

"My reasons." Ji Yong didn't lift his gaze from his notes once more.

"What are your reasons?" But Minki was stubborn and kept questioning his older cousin – despite the obvious fact that Ji Yong didn't want to be disturbed.

Ji Yong sent him a burning gaze, that almost anyone would turn away from, but Minki still didn't budge and just looked back at him curiously.

As Ji Yong didn't say anything, Jonghyun barged in.

"Ji Yong hyung, we want to play either hide and seek or tag, and we want to play with you. Will you please play with us?" Jonghyun asked him with a small kind smile. Ji Yong turned his gaze to him, still glaring with slightly narrowed eyes, not showing any form of friendliness.

"No," he said and looked at his notebook again. His tone was probably not meant to be that hard towards Jonghyun, but after Minki's interrogation, he was not ready to be in negotiation or to speak with a friendlier tone towards his younger cousins. Jonghyun looked down with a little pout, and so did Namjoo, Junhong and Taehyung. Changjo took Jonghyun's hand.

"Come on, we'll just play by ourselves," he said with a smile to brighten up his cousins. Jonghyun smiled back a little and the seven kids went in the kitchen to talk in private. Ji Yong didn't bother to look up and just continued scribbling in his book.

Some minutes later, Ji Yong’s slightly older cousins came inside and went over to him.

"What are you doing, hyung?" Aron sat down close next to Ji Yong and tried glancing down at his notebook, but Ji Yong quickly covered it with his arm.

"Nothing of your concern," he answered with a slightly harsh tone as he gazed at Aron and the others.

"Why not? We're family," Sohee tilted her head and looked at her older brother with innocent eyes and a cute smile, feeling mischievous and up to play. Ji Yong turned his eyes to her, but still did not show any kind of mercy.

"It's private, Sohee. And I'm older than you. All of you," he argued.

"Not put together," Luna said with a teasing smirk. Ji Yong looked at her a bit confused. "I mean if you put all our ages together, then we're older," she explained, and the others couldn't help but smile at her argument. Ji Yong on the other hand just narrowed his eyes and looked at her angrily. She seemed to shrink and took a step behind Amber. The oldest smirked triumphantly.

"We were thinking of playing a game, like a board game or something. Do you want to join, hyung?" Chanhee asked, getting the attention away from the above mentioned.

Ji Yong shook his head. "I don't want to play with you."

"That's mean," Luna commented.

"Too bad."

Luna and Amber started making faces at him, but suddenly they heard laughter and screams as the younger kids came running from the kitchen.

"Taehyung, I'm gonna catch you!" Jonghyun yelled with a laugh from both him and the latter as all the kids came running through the living room. But Taehyung happened to decide on running through the many kids standing by the couch and Jonghyun had to do the same if he wanted to catch the other boy. It ended up being the two of them running around the couch and through the people several times. Laughter and screaming arose through the living room, as the younger kids stood by the hallway laughing at them.

The older kids had various reactions: some couldn't help but laugh along with the younger ones, while others found it a bit annoying to be interrupted and to be used as hindrances. Ji Yong seemed like he could explode at any moment - and unfortunately it only took a little excited Taehyung, who climbed up the couch, ready to jump over him.

"Stop!" he yelled and everyone made a little twitch by the sudden outburst - including Taehyung who sat down startled on the couch as soon as he landed on the other side of Ji Yong. He looked down at the fabric, sad.

Nobody said anything, afraid of what the oldest had to say. Ji Yong continued.

"I seriously can't take this anymore! I was sitting in peace and quiet and suddenly all of you have to barge in and have a lot to comment on! I was enjoying the silence. And I don't want to play with you. I have more important things to do than play with you!" Ji Yong stood and looked around at all of them. He was taller than them all and nobody dared look him in the eye.

"And when I say 'no' one time when you ask me to play with you, you don't need to continue asking me!" his eyes glared at Minki for a second and Minki shrunk under his glare. The next one to slump down further, was Taehyung. "And when I'm having a conversation, it's really rude to suddenly come jumping over me and screaming in my ear so I grow deaf!" Ji Yong's eyes seemed to rest a little longer on Taehyung than they had on any other, and Taehyung seemed to feel this - although he didn't once glance up. He slid down the couch and went over to Luna who put her hands on his shoulders.

"And!" Ji Yong continued and glared over the older kids. "Don't talk back to me. I am older than you - although you might not want to realize it."

Chanhee tensed his jaw, but he knew he wouldn't win much if he talked back to his older brother now. With that being said, Sohee seemed to risk it anyway.

"Now you're rude!" she said and Ji Yong turned to her. "All of us just wanted to have a good time with you. We know you're older, but we just wanted to enjoy this vacation all together. If you can't seem to realize that, that is your problem, not ours!" With that she pushed herself past him and went up the stairs. A moment later they heard the door slam.

Ji Yong just got angrier after this.

"I am seriously getting tired of this! Can't you just understand that I don't want to play with you today? I'm..." Ji Yong got interrupted by Luna.

"Oppa, are you seriously getting mad about this? Sohee unnie just explained to you that none of us meant any harm with it," she said, all along gently squeezing Taehyung's shoulders, as she knew he didn't like arguments.

"You're taking it a bit too personal, oppa," Amber said to help Luna.

"I'm taking it too personal?" Ji Yong raised his eyebrows. "Listen to me: I was doing something by myself, when suddenly all of you come in and interrupt me! That's not my fault! And when I tell you to go away, you don't. It's really frustrating when someone’s yelling in your ear and..!" Ji Yong had directed his finger towards the younger kids who all felt sorry for the sudden anger of the older. But Byunghun didn't want to listen to these accusations anymore – although Ji Yong was his hyung.

"You're being way too dramatic," Byunghun said and earned a glare from Ji Yong. Everyone, except Ji Yong, had noticed the younger kids who were standing behind Ji Yong in the hallway, starting to get slightly frightened. Jonghyun was standing with his hands covering his ears, Namjoo patting his back wanting to comfort him; and Junhong had squatted down, also holding his hands over his ears and even squinting his eyes shut.

"Yeah, none of us did anything wrong," Chanhee agreed.

"Can't we just settle down now? Hyung, we think we did nothing wrong, but you obviously think otherwise. I'm sorry on everyone's behalf, but can't we move on now?" Aron said, wanting to make peace within the cousins once again. He tried smiling a little as a friendly gesture of peace. But this somehow just made Ji Yong more offended.

"Are you trying to be the bigger man now? Why can't you get that I'm the oldest?! None of you are ever doing what I say, and the adults always take your party because you're younger and 'oh-so-cute'!" His voice was getting louder as he spoke.

"Hey!" Byunghun didn't want to put up with this anymore. "Don't yell in front of my little brother!" he said, also of course referring to the other younger kids. He had a firm look on Ji Yong and didn't budge though Ji Yong sent an even more burning gaze back. Ji Yong took a step forward and the younger did the same, but got a hand on each of his shoulders by Amber and Aron, as it seemed like one more step forward would make this end up real ugly. Luckily, they didn't get to see that ending.

"Hey hey hey, what's going on here?" Baekhyun had in that moment walked in from the terrace and now he stood in the middle of Ji Yong and Byunghun with a steady hand on each of them to prevent them from moving closer to each other. Byunghun and Ji Yong still stared at each other with an evil look.

"We accidentally disturbed Ji Yong oppa," Luna explained as none of the two boys answered, leaving Baekhyun confused. But with Luna's explanation he got a bit more enlightened.

"And what's with the fuss? I mean, last time I checked none of the people in this house would start a fight due to a little disturbance," Baekhyun said. He looked from Byunghun to Ji Yong and back again. "Tell me why you're so upset. One at a time. Byunghun?"

Byunghun hesitated before shaking Baekhyun's hand off his shoulder and started telling. "Me and the guys," he motioned to Aron, Chanhee, Amber and Luna, "went inside to ask Ji Yong if he wanted to play a board game with us. And suddenly he got really upset and started yelling."

"Hey! It was not suddenly! There was more to it…!" Ji Yong exclaimed but Baekhyun interrupted him.

"Shush! One at a time, Ji Yong! No interruptions," he said. His gaze was firm and authoritarian, and Ji Yong closed his mouth with a huff. Baekhyun turned to Byunghun again. "Continue, Byunghun."

Byunghun narrowed his eyes at Ji Yong for a moment, before saying, "Fine. Maybe there were more factors in hyung's outbreak." He took a breath. "We asked him about his notebook and when he didn't want to tell, we may have commented on saying that we, combined, were older than him and therefore he didn't have the power to take out his 'I'm-older-card'." Baekhyun looked a little confused, but Byunghun just continued, without looking at any of them. "That's when the kids came running in, making a lot of noise and Taehyung jumped over him."

Baekhyun waited for a moment, running his eye over Taehyung who looked at the floor in shame or embarrassment. He waited until he was sure the seven-year-old was done talking, before turning to Ji Yong. "Do you agree on Byunghun's story?"

"Not entirely," he answered. Baekhyun looked at him and gave a slight nod, as if saying "Go on."

"First, they," he motioned to the youngest kids with his head, "came and annoyed me as they didn't want to leave me alone – even though I told them that I didn't want to play with them," he made sure to include that, so Baekhyun wouldn't claim it was his fault.

In the meantime, as they were talking, Amber had walked over to the young kids, kneeling beside them and was now patting both Junhong's and Jonghyun's backs to reassure them that everything was fine. She hated that it was making them uncomfortable just because their older cousins were arguing over something that was not more important than a little stupid misunderstanding.

"And then they," Ji Yong continued, now motioning to Byunghun and the others, "came and stuck their noses in what I was doing and even talked back to me."

"Because you were rude!" Luna couldn't help herself.

"Luna!" Baekhyun warned and she closed , but kept glaring at Ji Yong with a tense jaw.

"Aunt Baekhyun, they really don't understand how irritating it can be when someone younger speaks back at you, even though you tried denying them in a friendly way, in the first place," Ji Yong complained, looking pleadingly and sincerely at Baekhyun. Baekhyun seemed to consider his sincerity in his reflections.

"Sohee unnie even told you that we didn't mean any harm with any of it! We just wanted to be together with you, oppa!" Luna exclaimed, getting really tired of this argument. She was still squeezing Taehyung's shoulders, but at the sound level of her voice, he wiggled himself free and went over to sit on the floor beside Amber and the kids.

"Where is Sohee?" Baekhyun asked suddenly.

"She went to her room," Chanhee said, as the informative brother he was. "After she scolded hyung."

"Hey, why are you all gathering in here? What's going on?" Zitao came over to them, and the happy expression he had kept from sitting outside, faded as he sensed the tense atmosphere.

"The kids are arguing," Baekhyun told him.

"About what?" he asked, glancing over his kids, as one of them was sitting on the floor seeming quite upset or somewhat uncomfortable. But seeing Amber by them, he knew she was having it under control. Baekhyun shook his head: he didn't really know how to explain it.

"Ji Yong was being disturbed," he ended up saying. He thought for a moment. "Look, Ji Yong," he said and gained the attention of the oldest boy. "It seems to me that the kids didn't mean to irritate you. I'm not saying they did nothing wrong," he added as Ji Yong looked like he was about to complain once again. "But you're the oldest, so how about you make a good example for your younger cousins and brother, and say sorry as the first one? Although you don't take all the blame, it also seems as if you might have overreacted a bit or that maybe something else played along making you so upset. Am I right? In any case, you don't seem to me, to be the kind of guy to get upset over little things and to yell at your younger cousins. You're bigger than that... So how about you apologize, making sure they know you don't hold a grudge?"

Ji Yong gritted his teeth glaring at his aunt as he thought about the offer.

"And of course, Byunghun and Luna and all the others are going to apologize to you as well," Baekhyun added to his speech, once again emphasizing that Ji Yong didn't take all the blame.

"Fine," Ji Yong mumbled. "I'm sorry for yelling and getting upset with you. I didn't mean to yell and it wasn't your fault... entirely." He looked up at Baekhyun, who nodded as he accepted his apology to the others. Then the adult turned to the other kids.

"Anything you would like to say to Ji Yong?"

"Sorry," some of the kids mumbled.

"Sorry," Amber, Aron, Chanhee and Luna also confessed.

Byunghun hesitated, but finally couldn't postpone it anymore. "I'm sorry," he mumbled.

Baekhyun smiled at his work.

"Are we done?" Ji Yong asked him with a sassy expression.

"Yes, but remember to apologize to your sister as well," Baekhyun answered, and Ji Yong went up the stairs with his notebook in hand.

"Now," Zitao said and clapped one time with his hands. Baekhyun turned to him with one brow raised, but Zitao only focused on Junhong. "You're going to take a bath now." As he walked towards the bathroom, he grabbed the little boy in his arms and carried him with him. Baekhyun looked after him with a half-amused expression on his face.

Chapter 64: Hey - was so happy when i saw that you uploaded again. A really nice chapter. I loved that little Taekai Moment here ♡ i mean i dont know what you are planning with the next chapter - but when you still conclude this idea with the children playing pranks on their parents / uncels i would be really happy and really would like to see Taemin suffering in finding is lost cellphone and keys ('again') and the others but mostly Kai a little bit ....i don't know annoying....-- you know i have that scenario where they insult each other a little bit who lost what and when and kinda be mean to each other ( but not like 'totally - mad' more like 'i-am-sulking-bec-youre-so-mean-to-me'), and Kais Chicken and how it's now ruined with all the spice and OF COURSE the others members and they beloved stuff and all. and at the end when they all are a little bit lost with themselves the kids reveal everything - it would be a really cute chapter.

I mean for me , when i am writing this here it seems like a lot and all , and i am really , Truly sorry when you dont like this kinda comments where people suggest ideas / or like me ideas who are .... kinda detailed and stuff like this .

So yeah , just wanted to say pls dont feel pressured in smht like that and write what you want , it was just my weird ideasn imagination and wish .

But whatever you write , i will be excited and happy to see what you write ( bec i love youre writing style) and youre ideas - so see you until the next chapter. ♡♡☆☆☆

P.S - and ummmm...yes i am a er for Taekai so pls dont be mad that i only been and was detailed about their part - just can't get enough from them. ♡♡

Chapter 60: Ahhh- a new chapter. I had to read the previous chapter to remember what happend and to understand but that's okay xD. I can't remember if you take suggestion or wishes but when yes I have 2 - 1: it would be great if you could do more Taekai moments (+ with they children) because I think there is not much of them. And 2: if this Ship could have a argument? I know it's a family AU so it would be more friendly but I think it would be cool if you could see how the children reacts when there Parents are arguing and a little flashback of them when there where idols and had a fight too. I think it would be the best if you could do then this two things in One. Like one Taekai Chapter.
I hope you could understand what I was trying to tell and I will wait for your next chapter.
