Never Want to Talk to You Again!
Why Can't Anyone See Me?Xiumin sat in the back of his families’ car with his head leaning against the window. As he watched the lights of the city flash by, some of Sehun’s words play over in his mind, ”You should talk to Luhan” Sehun’s voice echoes, “I’m not sure what all he did, but he regrets it” he hears in his head. I don’t think so, an inner voice says, Luhan said he never wanted to talk to you again don’t you remember, the voice scolds.
~Flashback~
Three days, it had only been three days since Luhan had walked away from him, but still each passing second felt like a year. Each ignored phone call felt like a punch to the gut. Every time Xiumin would walk into one of his shared classes with Luhan to find his seat had not been saved felt like a knife to his heart. Xiumin cried himself to sleep each night, but he had a plan today was the day that he would fix everything.
Xiumin walked into the school building with his head held high, often tapping on his backpack to make sure the box was still there to sooth his mind. He sat through his classes, never once daring to meet Chen’s gaze, a gaze he had been ignoring since Luhan had walked away. He ate lunch in the corner table of the cafeteria pretending he couldn’t see his phone screen lighting up with Chen’s face every couple of minutes
After school Xiumin made himself comfortable on a bleacher facing the soccer field and watched as about a dozen people stretched out, ready to try out for the team. Many ran around dribbling the ball, Luhan has so got this, Xiumin thought to himself. Xiumin watched as the coach came out onto the field with a group of boys whom he assumed were already the members of the team. Xiumin giggled to himself as the coach described what he wanted everyone to do, Luhan can do that with his eyes closed, he thinks. The coach asks for volunteers and Xiumin takes in a big gulp of air as Luhan steps forward. He holds his breath a Luhan flawlessly executes the play.
“What’s your name son” Xiumin hears the coach yell over to Luhan.
“Luhan sir” comes Luhan’s reply.
“Well congratulations Luhan, I don’t need to watch the others to know that you belong on this team, you’re in” the coach says. Before Xiumin can even think about what he is doing he grabs Luhan’s promised shoe box out of his bag and runs over towards him.
“I knew you could do it Lu” he yells as he wraps his arms around Luhan. In a blink of an eye he finds himself staggering back.
“What do you think
