PROMISE ME YOU MUST Listen to: 2PM "Heartbeat" (Not the music video but the audio)

Kara

She lay awake in bed, eyes distant, staring up at the ceiling uselessly. She'd been really out of it for the last couple of hours, her mind drifting off to her decisions. She didn't know anymore. Didn't know what she was doing. Didn't know whether she was doing the right thing. Neither did she want to know. Because it would make the dark feelings stir inside her soul again.

She felt drained. Emotionally and mentally drained. Every fibre of her being was tired. Tired of the complication, the confusion.

Letting him go.

Letting him leave.

Letting him exit.

But somewhere inside her heart, she knew he would just come back. Because JongIn was just that good.

Slowly, her eyelids became heavy, and she began to fall deeper and deeper into a trance.

She dreamed about him. The Prince Charming. The lover. The man she just couldn't afford to see crumble because of her selfishness. The man who she loved. She really really loved him. But she didn't think it was enough for him. She didn't think she was good enough.

And even in her dreams, she kept repeating it in her head.

He deserved better.

"No! My son!"

She was rudely awoken by a screech, and as her eyes flickered open, she was blinded by luminous lights flashing in the driveway.

And her eyes met with a scene that sent her into shock.

Three policemen were at the door, their faces glum. And along with them, SeHun, ChanYeol and BaekHyun. And bile rose up as she saw their horror-stricken faces. Her mother was a wreck, distressed and deranged, bawling as the maids tried to console her. Even her father stood rigid and pale, silently and intently watching with a look in his eyes she couldn't quite understand, because she had never seen it. She had, in fact, never seen any of the people behave in such a way. They looked like ghosts as they stared. And she traced their lines of vision which all led to the same thing.

And her world collapsed.

The three friends exchanged nervous glances, holding in their breaths as they eyed her closely, unsure of and nervously anticipating her reaction.

On the television screen, was her biggest nightmare. One she never imagined. One she never dreamed of.

"Breaking: Korean Airlines Flight 343 that was scheduled to land in Seoul tomorrow afternoon has met with disaster. The plane had flown through a storm, and unknowingly straight into a da
