"Hi JongSuk. Is Kara home?"
Kim JongIn didn't know how the hell he ended up in front of the Lee's doorstep at 2 a.m. on a weekend. Oh wait. It was because he just couldn't stand the fact that he wasn't seeing, much less talking, to the love of his life for an entire week.
"Yepp. Come on in Kai."
JongSuk and Kai were very close. Just like how Kara consulted Sehun, Kai consulted JongSuk. JongSuk on the other hand, found Kai to be the perfect cure for his sister's disease. He had no denial of their marriage, and in fact, gave it his full approval. This wasn't the first time Kai had come in the middle of the night to talk to Kara. Besides, JongSuk had been busy with the company's shares lately, and had been havng a couple of late nights. Kai was always welcome at the Lee's, and JongSuk was happy to see him care so well for his sister. Just like everyone else, JongSuk was greatly concerned about his sister's health and well-being, both physically and mentally. And well, academically. After all, he was an authoritative older brother, and wanted nothing but the best in life for her. He was glad that Kai was such a stellar student, because he often asked Kai to come over and teach Kara when she couldn't make it for school. This was an opportunity for Kai to spend time with Kara as well, and so JongSuk saw his idea as killing two birds with one stone.
"She's in her room. You know her."
"Thanks, Jong."
Kai headed up the marble steps leading to the grand corridors of the second level. The Lee's house wasn't as gigantic as the Kim's, whose house was more of a palace than anything, but it was still a large mansion with a more modern interior and expensive flooring.
