Kai
Time seemed to go by really fast. But it always does when you're having fun doesn't it?
Before they knew it, they were in Kai's room, doing a final check on his luggage.
"Don't forget to bring the scarf I gave you... And the Polaroids of us... And the jacket I bought you... And the rose scented pillow to dream of me when I'm not there... And-"
Kai cut her off with a kiss.
"Sweetheart, you're too distressed. I'm going to be fine! And so are you. I've packed a whole luggage with things just for you. Things that would make me never forget you. But I wouldn't anyway, you're all I think about."
Kai laughed at how caring she was. She was just too cute. Cute enough to bury away the fear and the stress, cute enough to pretend that everything was going to be perfect. Cute enough for him to act as if he was going to be fine. That he wasn't going to be depressed every evening as he lay alone on the bed. That he wasn't going to drift off in meetings because he was thinking about her and wondering whether or not she was okay. That he wasn't going to spend every waking moment wondering if she was being bullied by his fans. That she wasn't going to let something affect her and keep it a secret, till she would burst when she couldn't take it anymore.
Kara was a matured woman, an esteemed lady, a rising heiress to the world. But to Kai, she was still his baby, still his little star. She would always remain the object of his protection. He was the guy and there was never a day that went by when he didn't see himself as the person who needed to protect her and to keep her safe. To secure both her physical stability and mental happiness.
Truth be told, he was probably more affected than her. She was upset, she was going to miss him, she was going to feel lonely and full of longing. He on the other hand, would have to deal with the parting in more than one way. Not only would he be missing her like crazy, he'd be absolutely worried for her.
But being the selfless
