Boa’s POV

In the main stage Jae and Yunho were practicing for the upcoming concert.

I saw them from the balcony of the second floor.

I sat on the chair and looked at the empty paper in front of me.

I heard Jae’s laugh and Yunho was complaining because he almost broke a string of his guitar.

I sighed.

I grabbed my pen and focused on what I had to finish before time was up.

And as I started writing his name I started remembering.

FLASHBACK

“Aish! I’m a disaster...!....how am I suppose to help the other dancers when I can‘t even do this!....”

I keep complaining looking at the mirror….

“Don’t get frustrated….relax a little bit….” Jae appeared and said.

“But this has to be perfect for the performance at the end of the week!”

“But now relax a little bit…” he calmly said.

“Aish!...you are not helping at all!...seriously…just leave!”

“Boa…”

“Jaejoong get out of here NOW!” I said completely angry.

He sighed and left.

As soon as the door closed I sat on the floor and started crying in frustration….

I sighed.

He always put up with me….

How could he still stay beside me when I treated him like that?

FLASHBACK

“What are you doing?” Jae suddenly appeared behind me.

“JAE!...you scared me….!’”

“Sorry…” he said kissing my head.

“What are you doing?”

“Um…nothing….” I said hiding the page.

“Yah! You are hiding that paper…” he said pointing to my left hand.

“It’s nothing….” I said, stood up from my chair and started walking away.

Suddenly he grabbed my hand.

“You know you can’t escape…”

In a blink of an eye he took the paper….

“You…..are writing a song?”

I look down….

“It is not as good as the ones you write…I know….

but I wanted to give you something for your birthday…….”

“Babo……” he said.

I pouted.

“It is really good…..you expressed what you felt…”

I smiled a little bit.

He put his arm around my shoulders and whispered…

“Do you love me that much?”

I started blushing….

“Jae!”

Before knowing him I had never tried to write a song…not even poetry…

Writing what I felt seemed so different from what I was…

But he showed me the power of words…of a song….

FLASHBACK

“Jae…where are you?” I talked on the phone.

“I’m at the hospital….Sun is really sick…” he said sadly.

“Oh……..what did the doctor say?”

“They are still checking her….but when I saw her she looked really sick….she seemed so fragile…”

he told me sighing.

“Jae…wait there ok?”

“What? Boa what…”

But I ended the call.

I hugged him really tight.

“Boa????.....you came…..” he said in shock…

“Sorry for hanging up but I wanted to be with you, to accompany you…..Sun is going to be ok…..”

I said caressing his face.

He smiled a little bit.

“Thanks….”

As time passed I was looking anxiously everywhere…

“If you want we can wait in the cafeteria…I know you don’t like hospitals….

When you had the accident you almost die because of being here….” He said with a smile.

“No…it’s ok….I will wait here….”

He grabbed my hand and put my head on his shoulder…

“In this kind of situations…I like the fact that you are stubborn….”

I smiled and closed my eyes….

I had never ran like crazy for someone like I did it that day.

I had always hated hospitals but I stayed with him 5 hours waiting for Sun to be ok…

I changed…

Many things changed in me and made me realized that I could consider family

other people than my parents and my brother.

FLASHBACK

“Wow…good work Boa….this looks like a big tent on top of a bear!”

I said to myself looking at my draft.

I heard someone laughing behind me.

“Jae…..don’t make fun of me….” I whined.

“Do you really want to improve?”

I nodded.

“Then ask my aunt to help you…”

I bit my lip.

“But she is always so busy and surely she doesn’t have time to waste with a beginner like me…”

I said looking down.

“You can improve!....you have the talent!....” he said excitedly.

“But…”

“You said you couldn’t sing in front of others…you said you couldn’t dance in front of others…

and look at you now…..you are one of the most recognized artists at the club…”

I smiled.

“Why do you always doubt of your abilities….?”

“Thanks….” I said hugging him… 

“Thanks to you I found the strength to express myself through music….

and now I’m going to put all my effort on these designs so they can be awesome…”

“Jae…..I was afraid of many things….and I’m still afraid of what could come…

But thanks to you I could overcome many things….start over new….” I said softly.

I had filled the whole paper….I folded the paper and put it in the envelope.

Without realizing my tears were falling down my cheeks…

Crying…

I was silently crying….

I looked down and saw Jae talking with Yunho…

The beautiful song they played before let my emotions flow………..

And I knew that I was thankful for everything I had experienced…

And I was so happy that all of it had been by Jae’s side…

Because he was the reason I showed the real me to the world…

All the emotions I kept in my heart for so long….

I dried my tears when they stood up and started walking upstairs….

And then another word appeared in my head….SORRY…….
