Jiyeon POV

I flipped the post it note over and there was another sentence written on it and it said, “Trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never met, but I know you can do it.”

I never saw that last quote before…

“I think Lee Joon knew I’ll find this that’s why he left the post its here, and if I’m right…He wants to let me know he always loved me and he’ll never give up on me…But the last quote…I never saw it before so I don’t really understand the meaning.” I told Hyosung.

“Obviously he still loves you dumbo, translate the last one into Korean for me, maybe I understand what it means…” Hyosung said and I translated it for her.

She thought for a while and then her eyes lit up, “I know what it means!”

“What?” I asked curiously.

“You dumb dumb, it’s so easy; you can’t remember someone you never met right? It’s impossible, and trying to forget someone you love is as impossible…so Lee Joon is saying he knows it will be very hard for you to forget him but he wants you to.” Hyosung said.

“What? So he loves me but he wants me to forget him?” I said.

“Yeah… I guess? Why must he talk in riddles? Well, maybe he really can’t be with you? Don’t you think he’s dad is too suspicious?” Hyosung said.

I nodded slowly.

I took out a permanent black marker from my bag and uncapped it.

“What are you going to do?” Hyosung asked.

“Well, in case Lee Joon comes back…” I said and wrote a message on the bottom of the secret compartment.

I wrote in English, “You promised you’ll never leave me, I’ll wait for you, always.”

“Ya! English again…Whatever, let’s go, you never know, what if someone comes here?” Hyosung said worriedly.

I quickly put the tile back and the stuff from the secret compartment into my bag.

“Ya! Did you hear that?” Hyosung whispered as a bang was heard from below.

“Mr. Lee, why are we meeting here?” a voice said.

Hyosung and I looked at each other.

It was Sunhwa’s voice!

We immediately put our ears onto the ground and tried to listen in onto the conversation.

[Downstairs]

 “Well, Today, Jiyeon and Hyosung came to find me.” Mr. Lee said.

“Really?” Sunhwa replied, shocked.

“Are you sure they don’t know anything about this?” Mr. Lee asked.

“I’m sure…They probably just wanted to find Lee Joon.” Sunhwa replied.

“Well, I hope you’re right, they cannot know anything about this.” Mr. Lee said.

“But, where is Lee Joon? Did you really send him away?” Sunhwa asked.

“Yes. It’s better if you didn’t know the location, but he won’t be coming back for the time being, but when he does come back, don’t worry, I have something planned so that even if Jiyeon hasn’t forgotten Joon by then she would have to forget him.” Mr. Lee replied.

“You’re too clever, Mr. Lee…Of course you’ll always have a backup plan.” Sunhwa said.

“As long as you don’t spill a word, no one will ever find out about this so everything should be perfect.” Mr. Lee continued.

“So, I don’t need care about Jiyeon anymore right?” Sunhwa asked.

“Yes, as long as she is not near with Joon, I don’t care what happens to her, people like her should really know their place in the society…” Mr. Lee said.

“As for you, I hope the money helped your parents company?” Mr. Lee continued.

“Yes it did, and I want to thank you very much…”Sunhwa replied.

“No need, you helped me a lot anyways.” Mr. Lee said.
