Lee Joon POV

I was happy that Hyosung won, but looking at Jiyeon who just lost by inches, my heart hurt for a second.

I couldn’t look on anymore and followed Hyosung to get her medal.

Eunjung POV

I immediately ran towards where Jiyeon fell down.

“Jiyeon ah! Oh my god, are you alright?” I asked.

That’s when I noticed her the bandage on her ankle had slid off her leg and showed her swollen ankle.

The bandages on her arm were starting to come off too.

I started to cry.

Why was Jiyeon doing this to herself?

I can’t take it any longer!

“Jiyeon ah! Let’s go to the first aid room. Now.” I said.

A few classmates also came over to help and looked at Jiyeon worriedly.

Jiyeon just told them she was fine and she did not need any help so they went away.

As the nurse looked at Jiyeon, she shook her head slowly.

“I told you to rest your ankle and this is what you do? You probably need to rest it for a longer time now since you pulled a ligament. Take some of these extra bandages and gauze for your leg and arm. I will prescribe a list for you and you have to bring it to the pharmacist at a hospital, understand?” the nurse said.

Jiyeon nodded and got up.

I gave her the crutches and she smiled at me.

“How can you still smile Jiyeon? Look at you…” I said.

“I’m fine.” I replied.

“I don’t care. I’m not letting her off…” I said and went off to find Hyosung.

“Eunjung ah!” Jiyeon shouted after me but I ignored her.

I finally found Hyosung with Jieun, Sunhwa and Lee Joon smiling happily at her medals.

I went up and slapped her hard across the face before anyone could stop me.

Jiyeon had already reached me but was too late to stop me.

Hyosung looked at me angrily.

“Angry now? What you did to Jiyeon isn’t even near to what I just did to you, b****.” I said and spat in her face.

I was about to walk closer to her when Lee Joon stood in front of me.

“Are you crazy Eunjung? Do you know what you are doing? And it is not Hyosung’s fault that Jiyeon got injured okay?” he said.

What? I thought.

Didn’t he see Hyosung tripping Jiyeon?

I was about to protest when Jiyeon put her hand on my arm.

“That’s enough Eunjung. You shouldn’t have done that.” She said and turned to Hyosung, “I apologize on behalf of Eunjung.”

“Ya! Why are you apologizing to her?” I said.

But Jiyeon just turned around and walked away.

Jiyeon POV

I was really shocked when Eunjung slapped Hyosung on the face.

I really hated Hyosung, but Eunjung shouldn’t have done that.

And, Lee Joon.

Why was he always on Hyosung’s side?

Has he completely fallen for her charms?

I couldn’t watch them any longer and walked away.

Eunjung caught up with me and asked, “Jiyeon ah, how can you let her get away with this?”

I didn’t reply and Eunjung stood in front of me, blocking my way.

“Jiyeon ah, don’t tell me you’re scared of her because I know you’re not. If you give her one punch she’ll be on the floor in seconds!” Eunjung said.

I did not want to think about the past anymore, when I was a gangster before I met Lee Joon.

“Eunjung. I’m not that kind of person anymore, remember? Anyways, I don’t have the energy to fight with her, just let it go.” I replied tiredly.
