Jiyeon POV

I landed on the floor with a loud thud.

Luckily the corridor was empty, but who did that to me?

“Ya! Jieun, Sunhwa, what are you 2 doing?!” Eunjung shouted.

So, it’s them again…

It must be because of the chat I had with Hyosung just now.

I was going to get up slowly when Sunhwa took my bag up and dumped the contents onto the floor.

Eunjung was held by Jieun, but not for long before she pushed her away.

“You think you can hold me back? Not in a million years.” Eunjung said and smirked.

At that moment, someone came over, bent down and helped me to pick up my books and stuff that fell out from my bag.

I was about to thank her when I saw that it was Hyosung.

Everyone was as shocked as I was and all of us didn’t move.

“Hyosung ah…” Jieun and Sunhwa said softly.

Eunjung just stood there, open.

Hyosung gave me back my bag with all the contents intact and I got up slowly as she handed the bag to me.

She even dusted the dust of my skirt and bowed to me.

I was so shocked and said, “What are you doing?”

Jieun and Sunhwa rushed over and made Hyosung lift her head up.

“You two. Get away from me. What do you think you just did?” Hyosung said in a stern voice I never see her use with Jieun and Sunhwa before.

Jieun and Sunhwa back away slowly while Sunhwa said, “I thought…” when Hyosung cut her off by saying, “I don’t care what you think. What you did just now just wasn’t right.”

Eunjung walked slowly towards me and we exchanged surprised gazes.

What was going on?

Hyosung was defending me?

This couldn’t be real right…

I pinched myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.

“Oww…” I murmured under my breath.

It hurt, meaning that this was real?!

Hyosung looked up at me with an uneasy expression.

“I’m sorry Jiyeon…for everything.” She said.

“Are you okay? Why are you doing this? I thought you hate me…” I replied.

“I did hate you, and I can’t say I like you now…but I have thought about everything I did to you and it just wasn’t right…I have made up my mind already…I really hope you go back with Lee Joon oppa.” She said.

“He broke up with me, don’t you remember?” I said.

“You really don’t get it don’t you? I thought you were just faking innocent, but you’re really gullible…If someone says and acts like they don’t like you anymore…you just believe it right? Have you ever thought about the other possibilities?” she continued.

“I don’t get what you’re trying to say.” I replied.

“I can’t tell you everything…but recently I found out something I shouldn’t have…and I wished I never found out, but since I know the truth now, I can’t just stand at a side and see Lee Joon oppa suffer like this…The only way for Lee Joon oppa to be happy again is if you’re by his side…His feelings for you never changed Jiyeon…Didn’t you realize that?” she said.

What?

But…Joon…he…

Was I really that dumb and did not see what Hyosung saw?

“That’s all I have to say…For the rest, you have to find it out by yourself, and I trust that you will…I hope we can be friends?” she asked softly.

I nodded and she turned around to walk away when I said after her, “Hyosung ah…don’t you like Joon anymore?”

She turned around and smiled and said, “Of course I do…But liking someone…means you want that person to be happy right? And that’s all I wish for…”
