C.1 :I’m A Rock Star

The night was young. Daybreak was still far ahead. I took another sip of wine. Smooth and dry, just the way I like it. Tomorrow will be a big day. The day to turn your back and watch it all fade away. Another sip. Yes I do wish I’m dead drunk and that time had stopped for me. 

I feel the alcohol finally kicking in when I was halfway through my bottle. I close my eyes gently. Heaved a sigh. Then used my right thumb to brush my lower lip. Opening my eyes again, I begin to notice every little detail of the room. A flat screen television hung against the baby pink walls. The coffee brown side table decorated by the childish mushroom lamp I got from a fan. My lonely single size bed, covered with the pinks sheets Daddy bought for me. Looking down, the dark oak colored flooring nicely transcend to the window edge I’m resting on. This is my room. 

The bottle now states that all of its goodness is within me.  I winched a little as I could feel the alcohol getting to my head. Right. I puff out a deep breath. Got to clean away the evidence. Grabbing the empty bottle with my right and the lonely wine glass with me left. Closing my eyes tightly for the moment to regain some control. I stood up a little too quickly and the room begin to spin. Hence I sat back down. I didn’t need anymore shattered glass.

Screw this. A month time right. So be it. I’m called for a greater purpose. Since HE so badly wants me, I will go. Call and I shall be there. All the songs that I’ve sang since I was a child, I meant them. I’m being honest. So God before I head into your kingdom, I’ll be a rock star. A freaking rock star! 

With the determination of I don’t know what, I walked in a straight line to the kitchen, deposing the bottle and glass, and back onto my bed. I’m a rock star! Taking one more glance at the crumpled ugly paper of reality, I closed my eyes. I’m a rock star...
