Revelations

Our Happy Family

“Jonghyun can you go wake Changjo up?” Key said as he worked on breakfast or what was more likely to be brunch.

            “Why? Let the boy sleep. He’s on break, let him relax.”

            “Jonghyun, it’s almost 11:30. I think he’s had enough rest. Just because he’s on break doesn’t mean he can be a bum. Now go wake him up, tell him to wash up, and that breakfast will be ready soon.”

            Jonghyun mumbled slightly under his breath but nonetheless went to go wake Changjo up, however, he was quite surprised to see Changjo already up and sitting on his computer in his room when he entered.

            “Oh Jjong appa, did you need something?”

            “Your Key appa wanted me to tell you to wash up and that breakfast would be ready soon.”

            “Ok, I’ll be out soon,” Changjo said and Jonghyun left him to go back out into the kitchen.

            “He was already up. It looked like he was looking something up on his computer when I went into his room,” Jonghyun said as he sat at the counter and watched Key continue to make breakfast.

            “Really? I’m surprised but I’m glad to know that he isn’t letting his brain turn to mush though while he’s home. Can you get the plates out the cupboard for me Jonghyun?” Key asked as he turned off the stove. Jonghyun did as he was told and soon Changjo was walking into the kitchen all dressed up.

            “Where are you going to this early in the day Changjo?” Key asked as he placed the food onto plates before setting them on the counter in front of Jonghyun and Changjo.

            “A job interview appa. I applied to a couple of places since I don’t want to just sit home all winter break.”

            “A job? Don’t you think you’re a little too young to have a job? I just want you focusing on school and…”

            “Key give the kid a break. He just turned 19. I think it’s good if he gets a job. Plus it’s only during the break right?” Jonghyun asked Changjo after effectively cutting Key off. Changjo took a bite of his food as he nodded his head.

            “Yea Jjong appa, it’s only for while I’m on break.”

            “But Changjo if you need money we could just give it to you. I don’t know how I feel about you working,” Key said as he placed his own plate in front of him and sat next to Jonghyun.

            “Key appa I have to get a job someday. Might as well get some work experience under my belt early. Plus I don’t want to just live off the money you guys give me forever.”

            “But…”

            “Key let it go and wish the boy luck on his interview,” Jonghyun said cutting Key off once again before turning to Changjo, “Where is this job?”

            “Just some clothing store in the mall. That’s why I dressed so nice! I have to show them I have some kind of style,” Changjo said as he let out a small chuckle.

            “Well if you’re serious about this…let me at least do your hair and put a little makeup on your face before you leave. I have to make sure my son looks his best on his first job interview,” Key said, giving into the fact that Changjo was going to get a job whether he wanted him to or not.

           “Thanks Key appa, but how about we skip the makeup part. I just want to look like a normal college student, not an idol.”

            “Fine, fine. No makeup,” Key said even though he knew he was still going to sneak some foundation onto Changjo’s face to hide some of his blemishes.

            After Changjo left for his job interview, Key did some cleaning while Jonghyun watched TV, but something was bothering him and he didn’t know how to bring it up to Jonghyun what was on his mind, but Jonghyun was able to sense Key’s uneasiness.

            “Key, what’s wrong?” he asked as he turned the TV down a little bit and turned his head to look at his husband.

            “Huh? Nothing’s wrong. Why would you think anything’s wrong?” Key asked as he continued wiping down the kitchen counter.

            “Oh well I don’t know, maybe because you’ve been cleaning the kitchen counter for the last ten minutes,” Jonghyun said and Key looked down at the cloth in his hand before putting it down and letting out a soft sigh.

            “I don’t know Jonghyun. It’s just Changjo is growing up so fast. He wants to get a job and soon he’ll be moving out and then getting married. Why can’t he just go back to being five again?” Key said as he picked up Comme Des and went over to the couch to sit next to Jonghyun.

            “Well of course he’s growing up, if he wasn’t he’d be dead,” Jonghyun said with a small chuckle as he put his arm around Key’s shoulders, “We have to let him grow up and just be by his side while he does, but is that seriously all that’s been on your mind? You were worrying over something silly like that?”

            Key nodded his head and Jonghyun couldn’t help but pull Key close to his chest in a hug, causing Key to drop Comme Des on the floor. The puppy didn’t seem too happy with being dropped either but he walked away from the loving couple on the couch and back to his little bed.

            “Key you’re so cute. Here I was worrying that there was serious going on with you. Listen, even when Changjo moves out and gets married, you’ll still have me ok?” Jonghyun said as he placed a kiss on Key’s forehead.

            “Maybe I don’t want you,” Key said as he tried to wiggle his way out of the hug, not amused with Jonghyun’s teasing.

            “Well I’m going to be all you got soon, so you need to get used to having me around forever!”

            While Jonghyun continued to tease Key, Changjo had just arrived at the mall and was killing time before his interview. He had let his Key appa do his hair and against his will his makeup too which was causing him to gain lots of look for plenty of the girls in the area. Changjo even heard some whisper asking if he was a rookie idol.

            “Stupid Key appa. I told him not to do my makeup. I look way too flashy,” Changjo mumbled to himself as he checked his phone to see that he still had fifteen minutes to kill until his interview. So he went to grab a pretzel and sat on a bench near the store to eat it.

            “Um…excuse me?” Changjo soon heard a voice near him and he figured it was another girl trying to flirt with him, but he was surprised to see an older lady standing in front of him. Yet he still treated her the same as everyone else.

            “I’m sorry ma’am but I am not an idol. I’m just a boy that is trying to eat this pretzel and wait for my job interview to start,” Changjo said not showing much interest towards the older woman but she didn’t go away.

            “No…I’m sorry. You just look like someone….someone that I know. C-Can I ask how old you are?” She asked and she seemed really nervous or maybe more like scared, like she had seen a ghost while looking at Changjo. She kept playing with her fingers and biting her lip as she tried to speak to him.

            “Umm…I just turned 19.”

            “When?”

            “Huh?” Changjo was starting to get really freaked out and wanted to get up and leave but something made him stay and answer her question.

            “November 16th. But why…?”

            “I-I have to go...” she said before Changjo could even finish his question and soon enough she was out of Changjo’s sight.

            “Well, that was strange,” Changjo thought to his self as he went in for another bite of his pretzel before remembering that he had an interview to go to. He looked at his phone again to see that it was starting in two minutes. So he quickly threw his pretzel out before straightening his clothes out and heading into the store trying to forget about his strange encounter with that woman.

            “Appa! Appa!!” Changjo screamed as he ran in the house after coming back home from the mall just to see his fathers cuddles up on the couch in front of the TV.

            “What is it Changjo?” Key asked as he sat up from laying on Jonghyun’s chest, only to have Jonghyun put his arm around him and try and pull him back down, “Jonghyun let me up.”

            “You were keeping me warm though.”

            “Uh…I can tell you guys later how I got the job if you’re busy,” Changjo said as he slowly started backing away from his parents.

            “Oh my god! You got the job?!” Key exclaimed as he jumped up from the couch and ran over to hug Changjo, “I’m so proud of you!!”

            “Weren’t you the one that didn’t want him to get a job just a few hours ago?” Jonghyun asked as he sat up and looked at Key with a small smirk on his face.

            “Shut up Jonghyun!” he yelled before turning his attention back to Changjo, “So what did they say? How much are you getting paid? How many hours are you working and what days? Oh and…”

            “Breathe Key and let the boy answer at least one of your questions before asking the next one.”

            Key stuck his tongue out at Jonghyun and turned to Changjo again, waiting for him to answer one of his many questions.

            “Well I’m not getting paid much. Only about 13500 won an hour and they only have me working part time, but my schedule changes every two weeks. They told me I could start in two days on Monday and I’ll get the rest of my schedule then,” Changjo told his Key appa with a smile on his face, happy that he actually got the job in the first place.

            “Oh Changjo! I’m so proud of you!!” Key exclaimed as he hugged Changjo tight before Changjo complained about not being able to breathe and Key released him.

            “It’s all thanks to you though Key appa. They hired me because people kept surrounding me. So many people thought I was an idol because of the makeup you put on me appa. So the manager said I would be good for business and attract new customers.”

            “I guess that means I’m going to have to teach you how to do your own makeup then!” Key said excitedly. He felt that Changjo looked so nice with makeup so he was happy to teach him how to finally do it for himself.

            “Can’t you just do it for me appa?” Changjo asked and Key laughed at the boy.

            “Changjo, your appa does makeup every day at work. Now why would I want to do your makeup every morning for free before you go to work too?”

            Changjo nodded his head understanding how dumb it was to expect his Key appa to do his makeup every day, but he wasn’t too excited about having to put the makeup on himself. It took too much time and he didn’t have the patience for it, but if it was for his job he was willing to do it.

            “Come Changjo, I’ll teach you how to do your foundation and some eyeliner tonight so you at least have the basics, but see I told you that if I did your makeup it would help you get the job. I know what I’m talking about most of the time you know,” Key said as he led Changjo into his bedroom and Changjo couldn’t help but shake his head at his appa’s silliness.

            The first week of work was tough for Changjo but he had slowly gotten used to it. That is after learning how to properly fold clothes, deal with angry customers, and clean the store properly at night. Changjo was grateful that he usually didn’t have to deal with angry customers though, because that was the one thing he really disliked. That’s because when some customers got angry, they also got scary. Changjo thought he was going to get hit one day because this guy thought he was flirting with his girlfriend and even though it would’ve made everything go smoother if Changjo had just said he was gay he knew he couldn’t do that. Luckily his manager had stepped in to help Changjo out in the end.

            Today, however, Changjo was on cashier which he really liked. It was the easiest placement out of the entire store. As long as a customer didn’t get mad over something that wasn’t his control, he was fine, but usually he just had to flash a smile and apologize and the customer’s anger would dissolve almost instantly. While Changjo was ringing up the current customer on his line, he heard a familiar voice and instantly felt his heart rate start to increase. After the customer left, Changjo quickly searched the store for the source of that voice and soon his eyes landed on Yongguk.

            He hadn’t seen Yongguk since that day in the café and the fact that he was now at his job shopping, Changjo didn’t know how to handle it. Soon though he saw a girl come up to Yongguk and she linked their arms together as she showed him a dress she must’ve picked up. Changjo quickly diverted his eyes from the two of them when he saw that and tried to busy himself by folding some clothes behind him that customers had decided not to buy at the last minute.

            “Thank you oppa for buying this for me!” Changjo heard a female voice approach the counter and he was hoping that it would be another couple coming to checkout; unfortunately luck was not on his side today.

            “No problem Junhee. As long as you’re happy,” Yongguk said to the girl by his side and Changjo just kept his face down in hopes of not being noticed by Yongguk.

            “Did you guys find everything alright today?” Changjo asked as he took the security tags off of the dress and folded it up.

            “Yes we did. Thank…Changjo?”

            “,” Changjo said under his breath before raising his head to look at Yongguk and smile. When he saw him though his heart skipped a beat, as he saw that Yongguk had a new haircut and that his hair was back to jet black. Changjo didn’t know that Yongguk could possibly look more attractive but he was obviously wrong.

            “Hey, Yongguk….so this will be 50,000 won. How will you be paying?” Changjo asked, trying to get the older male out of his sight as fast as possible.

            “Oh um with my debit card,” Yongguk said as he took his card out of his wallet before turning to the girl he was with and handing her the bag, “Junhee go find us a table in the food court. Oppa will be there soon.” She looked at him weirdly before shrugging her shoulders and leaving.

            “You can swipe your card now,” Changjo said, knowing he shouldn’t have let her walk out before Yongguk had a chance to pay but also knowing that Yongguk definitely had the money to pay for that dress anyway.

            “Yea…” Yongguk swiped his card but couldn’t stop looking at Changjo’s face and Changjo could feel his stares.

            “You have to enter your pin too.”

            Yongguk snapped out of his daze and finished paying for the dress which Changjo was thankful for. He printed out the receipt and handed it over to Yongguk only to have Yongguk grab his hand in the process.

            “Yongguk…”

            “You look really nice. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear makeup before,” Yongguk said as he continued staring at his face. Changjo was hoping there was another customer that needed to be helped but luck was not even on his side a little bit as the store was practically empty.

            “Thanks, but I think you should go. You don’t want to keep your girlfriend waiting,” Changjo said as he took his hand back.

            “Girlfriend?” Yongguk said before laughing, “Oh Junhee? That’s my little cousin. She’s 16,” Yongguk told him as he continued laughing.

            “Oh well…ok then,” Changjo said trying to still end this conversation as soon as possible.

            “What time do you get off?”

            “At 6 why? No I mean…” Changjo tried to take back what he had said but Yongguk was already leaving the store, saying that he’ll come back at six. As soon as Yongguk was gone Changjo laid his head on the counter letting out a hard sigh.

            “Who was that?” his coworker came up to him and asked and Changjo just mumbled no one before trying to get back to work and get his mind off his unexpected encounter with Yongguk just now.

            Sure enough when six o’clock came rolling around, Yongguk was waiting outside of the store for Changjo. Changjo at first didn’t notice him however, and had let out a soft sigh as he started walking for toward the exit of the mall. That was until he heard his name being called and turned around to see Yongguk coming up to his side.

            “Damn…” he mumbled under his breath before speeding up his steps but Yongguk easily caught up to him.

            “What? Are you trying to run away from me?” Yongguk asked as he draped his arm around Changjo’s shoulder.

            “Yongguk, can you please remove your arm,” Changjo asked and Yongguk noticed how casually he was acting with the younger male and did as he was asked.

            “Oh my bad. Anyway, you haven’t been responding to any of my texts. Have you been thinking over the whole, you know, us dating again thing?” Yongguk asked as he stuffed his hands in his pocket to avoid touching Changjo again.

            “No, not really. I’ve been busy with work and stuff,” Changjo said trying to stay calm as he felt Yongguk’s eyes looking him over.

            “Well how about we spend some time together now? I mean you’re free right? Plus you’re all done up, we can go out get something to eat or something.”

            “Yongguk, I just got out of work and I’m tired. The last thing I want to do is go out right now. I’m just plan on going home to rest,” Changjo said as they finally reached his car and he dug into his pocket to retrieve his key.

            “Changjo…” Yongguk stopped and let out a deep sigh before continuing causing Changjo to finally look at him and Changjo knew he shouldn’t have done that because he noticed that Yongguk had gone home and changed his clothes and was looking even better than he did earlier. Changjo swore that if Yongguk was any closer he would be able to hear how fast his heart was beating.

            “Listen can you just tell me right now if there is no chance in us ever getting back together,” Yongguk said as he stared at Changjo with hard, almost cold eyes. It reminded Changjo of how he would look in the past but now, he could notice the tiny flicker of hope that Changjo would tell him they had a chance.

            “Yongguk hyung…I just need time to think ok. I don’t want to tell you yes or no right away without thinking it over some more. I really just don’t want to be hurt again,” Changjo said and Yongguk had the biggest smile on his face, but Changjo couldn’t understand why. He hadn’t told him yes so why was he so happy.

            “Yongguk?”

            “You called me hyung.”

            “What?”

            “You called me Yongguk hyung. This is the first time since we started talking again that you called me hyung,” Yongguk said his smile still on his face as he walked closer to Changjo, causing him to bump into his car.

            “I’m pretty sure that’s not true,” Changjo said as he turned his face away from Yongguk so he wouldn't have to stare at him so close, “Also can you back up, you’re really close,” he asked but Yongguk didn’t budge.

            “Changjo, I really want to have another chance with you ok,” Yongguk said as he took his hand and gently turned Changjo’s face to face him, “and I know the reason why you can’t give me a straight answer is because somewhere inside of you, you want to give it another go too.”

            Changjo’s heart wouldn’t slow down no matter how much he tried to calm his nerves as Yongguk spoke to him. The closeness, the sound of his deep voice, just everything about Yongguk made him nervous and excited at the same time. He didn’t know whether he wanted to run away or kiss him. Lucky for him his body decided to make the decision for him on its own by softly pressing his lips against Yongguk’s.

            Changjo saw the surprise in Yongguk’s eyes before he felt the other kiss him back and he closed his eyes to revel in the feeling of touching Yongguk like this again. All of his senses were invaded by Yongguk. The feel of his rough hand on the back of his neck as he moved it up into his hair, the feel of his chest against his as Yongguk pulled his body closer to his own with his other hand, the smell of his cologne that surrounded them like an invisible veil, the taste of mint on his tongue, the sound of his breathing as he kept trying to inhale more and more of Changjo, just everything about Yongguk, Changjo could sense it all.

            Yongguk was the one to pull away first and Changjo slowly opened his eyes to see the other looking at him with so much lust and something he had never noticed before, love. He saw the love Yongguk had for him in his eyes and as Yongguk slowly took his hand from Changjo’s hair and caressed his cheek, Changjo couldn’t help but lean into his large, warm, slightly calloused hand.

            “Changjo…” Yongguk whispered out in a deep and husky voice, before leaning back in to kiss Changjo again. It was chaste and short yet Changjo still felt the breath being from his lungs, as if someone had literally attached a vacuum to him and turned it on as high as it could possibly go. Soon he placed his hands on Yongguk’s chest and pushed him far enough away from him so he could try and catch his breath.

            “Changjo, please just say yes. Go out with me again. I promise I’ll treat you better this time. I’ll love you the way I should have loved you four years ago,” Yongguk said as he walked back up to Changjo and started placing kisses on his cheek, leading down to his neck, before he just stopped and inhaled the scent of the younger male, “Just let me be by your side. Let me love you,” Yongguk whispered out as he backed away and held Changjo’s face in between his two hands. Changjo bit his lip as he looked Yongguk in the eye before pushing him away again.

            “Hyung we…I don’t know if I can. I’m sorry, but I have to go,” Changjo said as he hurriedly turned around and got into his car, leaving Yongguk behind him looking stunned and confused.

            By time Changjo had gotten home, Yongguk had texted him about a dozen times and called him five times. Changjo had resorted to turning his phone off after a while. He needed time to think. He knew kissing Yongguk like that was bad, really bad, but it felt so good to him, it made him happy and content and just feel at ease about everything while he was in Yongguk’s arms, but the painful memories of the past kept creeping up into his mind. Changjo knew he couldn’t be with Yongguk as long as he held onto those memories but it wasn’t easy to just try and forget all of the pain Yongguk had caused him and Changjo was starting to realize maybe it was better to not forget.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
            “Hurry up Hyung! The movie is going to start soon!” Ricky yelled as he gathered his popcorn and started rushing to the theater.
            “Well if someone didn’t take so long to get ready we would’ve gotten here earlier now wouldn’t we?”
            “Shut up hyung. I told you I had to shower and change after work. Anyway come on!”
            They entered the dark theater and saw that the previews were still rolling and Ricky was happy that they hadn’t missed any of the movie yet. Ricky decided for a seat on the left side of the theater towards the back since it was open and he didn’t want to walk through all the aisles looking for another open seat.
            “See, we still made it on time.”
            “That’s only because you drive so fast. I always think I’m going to die when I’m in a car with you,” Ricky said as he placed the drink in the cup holder and started munching on the popcorn.
            “You have fun when you’re in the car with me and you know it,” he said as he placed an arm around Ricky’s shoulder, shaking him a little.
            “Stop it Seungho hyung. Oh look the movie’s starting!” Ricky exclaimed and they both had quieted down.
            This was their fourth time hanging out and Ricky was happy to have a friend like Seungho. Seungho felt more like an older brother and a good friend all wrapped up into one person and Ricky really enjoyed their outings together. It had also been a lot easier to go out with Seungho than Ricky would have thought since Himchan was so busy and stressed out with his internship. Ricky didn’t like keeping things from Himchan but he knew his boyfriend would do nothing except over react if he told him that he was going out with Seungho.
            When the movie ended they had decided to walk around the area for a little while since there were a bunch of little shops and stuff around and Ricky couldn’t stop talking about the movie.
            “But can you actually believe that hyung? Like why would aliens come all the way to earth to steal some stupid mineral and then return without murdering everyone? What’s the point of that?! That movie was really dumb if you asked me.”
            “So you rather aliens come down to earth and kill us all before taking what they came for?” Seungho asked questioning Ricky’s priorities.
            “Of course not hyung! I want to live, but in a sci-fi movie I want a little action you know. I mean it was interesting but it could’ve been better.”
            “Yea, I see what you’re saying,” Seungho said as he draped his arm loosely around Ricky’s shoulder and they continued walking until Ricky noticed an ice-cream shop.
           “Oh my god hyung look! Let’s go get ice-cream!!” Ricky said excitedly as he ran ahead of Seungho slightly.
            “It’s 25 degrees out and you want ice-cream?”
            “We can eat it inside dummy. Please?!” Ricky begged and Seungho just walked up to him shaking his head as he led Ricky into the shop. When they got up to the counter there were so many different flavors that Ricky wasn’t sure which on he wanted.
            “Do you know what you want yet Ricky?”
            “Umm…do you guys make banana splits?” Ricky asked the young woman at the register and she greeted him with a smile before telling him that they did.
            “Really?! Ok can I get one banana split and what are you getting hyung?” Ricky asked as he pulled out his wallet and looked to Seungho.
            “I’m getting a double scoop of rocky road ice-cream on a waffle cone. Also I’ll pay for this Ricky. You should save your money,” Seungho said as he motioned for him to put his wallet away.
            “You already paid for the movie though and…”
            “I said I’ll pay, don’t worry about it,” Seungho insisted and Ricky had no choice but to back down.
            “Fine…”
            “You have such a nice older brother. You should let him spoil you,” the lady at the register said as she rung up their order.
            “Oh, we’re not related. Why? Do we look alike?” Ricky said laughing a bit.
            “Ah I just thought…never mind,” she said as she gave them their receipt and told them their order will be brought out to them soon.
            “That’s the first time I ever heard someone say we were related,” Ricky continued to laugh as he and Seungho found a seat and waited for their ice-cream to be brought out.
            “It’s probably because you look like a middle school student that she thought we must be related.”
            “Yah! I do not look like I’m in middle school! I look my age,” Ricky exclaimed, just for Seungho to give him a look, “Fine, I look at least 16 though!”
            “Yea but I look 23, like I should.”
            “I don’t know hyung. I would maybe say 25, 26. You’re starting to look a little old there,” Ricky joked and Seungho put him in a loose chokehold.
            “Take it back.” Seungho said as he continued to play around with Ricky.
            “I take it back. I take it back!” Ricky exclaimed and Seungho let him out of his choke hold.
            “You messed up my hair hyung,” Ricky complained and Seungho just laughed at him.
            “You look fine. Oh look here comes our ice-cream.”
            When the ice-cream arrived at the table, Ricky immediately started digging into his banana spilt and Seungho simply looked at him with amazement.
            “Slow down, it’s not going anywhere you know,” Seungho said as he wiped some ice-cream off of Ricky’s face. Ricky became slightly embarrassed by the action and decided to stop shoveling ice-cream into his mouth and eat like an adult.
            After they left the ice-cream shop, Ricky was so full that he had joked for Seungho to carry him to the car, to which Seungho declined and pushed Ricky a little to make him walk faster.
            “C’mon. Walking will be good for you. You’re starting to get a like a girl because you keep eating so many sweets,” Seungho said jokingly as he slapped Ricky’s a couple of times.
            “Ah hyung, that hurts and I don’t have a like a girl! I have a very normal size ,” Ricky defended himself and his .
            “Yea, for now you do. Anyway let’s get you home.”
            “Oh wait, can you drop me of at Changjo’s place instead? I promised him I would stop by after he got off work.”
            “Yea, that’s fine. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Changjo for a little while either.”
            Soon they were pulling up in front of Changjo’s house and for a second Ricky thought no one might be home since the house was so dark, but he saw Changjo’s car in the driveway and figured his friend could be napping. That didn’t stop him from going up to the front door though and ringing the bell a bunch of times until Changjo came to the door yawning, in only a pair of sweatpants.
            “Ricky? And…Seungho hyung?! What are you guys doing here?” Changjo asked as he moved aside to let the two in.
            “Well you told me to come over today, but obviously you forgot about that. Oh and Seungho hyung and I were hanging out so I had him bring me here.”
            “Ah, well let me go throw on a t-shirt and I’ll be back out,” Changjo said as he ran into his room to change while Ricky and Seungho sat on his couch. Ricky the TV and started flipping through channels while waiting and Seungho noticed how relaxed and at how Ricky seemed to be in Changjo’s home.
            “You almost look like you live here,” Seungho said and Ricky looked at him with a smile.
            “Well I basically did. I mean my house is right around the block and my mom would work late often so Changjo’s fathers would invite me over for dinner and to spend the night sometimes.”
            “Really? That’s nice that you guys are so close. Oh and do you want to stop by your house before I take you back home?” Seungho asked figuring he would want to see his mother.
            “No, its fine. My mom is working a double tonight so she won’t be home until tomorrow morning. Thanks though hyung,” Ricky said smiling at Seungho again and Seungho thought Ricky’s smile was the cutest thing ever.
            “No problem,” he said as he ruffled his hair like a child before noticing the time, “Oh shoot, I have to go Ricky.”
            “You have to go already? You just got here,” Changjo said as he came out of his room with a shirt on and his hair actually combed down.
            “Yea, sorry about that Changjo, but we can all hang out later,” Seungho said as he gathered himself before having Changjo walk him out.
            “That was weird. He was only here for like five minutes,” Changjo said as he flopped down on the couch next to Ricky, “I even put a shirt on and did something to my hair,” Changjo complained.
            “You never make yourself look nice for me when I come over,” Ricky said as he jokingly glared at his best friend.
            “And why would I do that? I see you all the time!”
            “Whatever, I’m going to get myself something to drink,” Ricky said as he got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water. As he walked by Changjo noticed something, that when he was coming back Changjo stopped him before he sat down.
            “Hold up Ricky, walk back over here,” Changjo said gesturing for Ricky to walk in front of him.
            “What? Why?” Ricky asked as he did as he was told before having Changjo turn him around so that his backside was facing him.
            “Holy Ricky, when did you get this ?” Changjo said as he started grabbing Ricky’s only to have Ricky slap his hands away.
            “What the hell Changjo! Why are you groping me?!” Ricky exclaimed as his face started to turn red a bit after he sat down on the couch.
            “I wasn’t, I was just feeling it. Seriously Ricky what have you been eating? It’s all gone straight to your . Not saying it’s a bad thing, you definitely fill out those jeans quite nicely now,” Changjo said as he gave Ricky the once over with his eyes.
            “Alright, alright, my got fat. Can you stop being so gross now?” Ricky asked as he took a sip of his water before turning his attention back to the TV, but he felt Changjo’s eyes still set on him.
            “Umm…what are you looking at now?” he hesitantly asked.
            “Ricky…did you ever think that we would end up dating when we were younger?” Changjo asked, causing Ricky to almost choke on his water.
            “W-What?! Where is this coming from?” he asked as he wiped his mouth. Changjo simply shrugged his shoulders as he laid his back against the couch and turned his gaze to the TV, not really watching it though.
            “I don’t know. It was just a question. I mean I always sort of thought that you were cute but I never really thought of dating you. I don’t know why, I guess I just saw you as a good friend or brother or whatever, but,” Changjo turned his gaze back to Ricky causing Ricky’s heart to skip a beat by the way he was looking at him, “but now, seeing you like this, I don’t know I guess I just find you attractive and I’m just wondering how we would’ve turned out if we dated each other,” Changjo said before laughing a bit to himself. Ricky set his glass down on the table in front of as Changjo began to speak again.
            “We probably would’ve ended up breaking up and hate…” Changjo was cut off by the feeling of lips on top of his own as a pair of shaking arms slowly wrapped themselves around his neck to pull him closer. The kiss lasted no more than five seconds but to Changjo it seemed to last a lot longer. When Ricky pulled away from the kiss he whispered something into Changjo’s ear before quickly gathering his things and running out of the house, leaving Changjo stun on the couch with that one sentence constantly repeating itself in his head:
            I have always loved you.
            Ricky ended up running to the bus stop after kissing Changjo, not believing what he had done.  He wanted a huge hole in the ground to open up and swallow him whole. Ricky was so embarrassed and scared that he might’ve ruined their friendship and when he finally got back to him and Himchan’s shared apartment, the last thing he wanted to deal with a pissed of Himchan.
            “Ricky, where have you been?” Himchan asked as soon as he came in the door.
            “I was at Changjo’s house hyung. Sorry for coming home so late, do you want me to make you something to eat?” he asked as he walked over to where Himchan was sitting in the living room to see that he had ordered out.
            “No, I ate already,” Himchan said annoyingly as he looked at Ricky before motioning for the boy to sit next to him, which Ricky did.
            “Why are you so flushed? Are you getting sick?” Himchan asked as he wrapped his arm around Ricky’s shoulders, his voice softening out a little bit when he noticed how red Ricky’s face was.
            “Ah no hyung. I just rushed over here, so I was a little winded.”
            “Oh ok, well I missed you today. What did you end up doing all day?” Himchan asked as he snuggled up against Ricky and Ricky couldn’t help but chuckle to himself a bit at his hyung’s cuteness.
            “Nothing much. I just saw a movie, ate some ice cream, you know just relaxed.”
            “You should lay off the sweets a bit Ricky. You’re starting to get a little fat,” Himchan said so easily and Ricky couldn’t believe that his boyfriend just told him he was getting fat.
            “I’m not. I look the same as always!” Ricky exclaimed as he moved away from Himchan a bit, offended.
            “Have you not noticed that your jeans are getting tight around your and thighs? You’re getting fat. It’s ok, we can start running together ok?” Himchan said as he got up from the couch stretching before kissing Ricky on the forehead, “I’m going to head to bed now though, you should come in too soon. Don’t you have work early tomorrow?”
            “Yea, I’ll come in soon,” Ricky said curtly as he watched Himchan walk into the bedroom, “but not before I make some ramen,” he whispered to himself. Walking into the kitchen and filling up a pot with water. Ricky felt like Himchan was an for calling him fat, but he was also still stressed out about the kiss and stress made him hungry, so he was going to eat no matter what Himchan said.
~~~~~~~~~~

            Christmas time. Changjo used to love the holiday season, the snow, the presents, being with his family, but right now, love was the furthest thing from his mind as he worked non-stop checking people out, dealing with upset customers, and worked double shifts. He wanted to quit so bad but he would be going back to school in two weeks so he figured he might as well stick it out. Plus he was going to use the money from his job to buy his fathers real Christmas gifts for once that he actually earned and didn’t spend their money on.

            When Changjo’s shift was over he couldn’t be happier and as he left the store Yongguk came running over to his side with a warm cup of coffee in his hands for Changjo. It has been about a week since Yongguk and Changjo kissed in the parking lot as well as since Ricky kissed Changjo at his home. Changjo had not been able to get in touch with Ricky since then and he knew his best friend was ignoring him but he decided to give the other some space before attacking him with all the questions he had for him.

            With Yongguk on the other hand, Changjo had decided to respond to one his millions of texts one day and they had come to the agreement to start off just trying to be friends. That’s why Yongguk was here, like he had been for the last few days Changjo has worked, with a cup of coffee in hand and a smile on his face to great him.

            “How was work today Changjo?” Yongguk asked as he handed him the cup of coffee.

            “It was hell, but this coffee…this coffee is wonderful,” Changjo said as he inhaled the scent and took another sip. He had slowly developed an addiction to coffee thanks to working so many double shifts the last couple of days. Changjo was just so happy that today was his last shift for at least two days since tomorrow was Christmas Eve.

            “Well I’m glad the coffee is able to cheer you up a bit,” Yongguk said as he wrapped his arm around Changjo and they continued to walk out of the mall. Changjo wanted to say something about it, but he was too tired to fight Yongguk about how he was overstepping the boundaries of friendship yet again. That’s because even though they had both agreed to try and be friends first, Changjo always noticed how Yongguk would try little things that were leaning more towards the romantic side than the friendship side. As they stepped outside snow started falling on Changjo’s head and he was surprised to see it.

            “It started snowing while I was in work?” he said, not really asking Yongguk but more like stating it to himself.

            “Yea, its been snowing for a little while now. That’s why I brought you a large coffee today, figured you would need it to keep you warm.”

            Changjo hadn’t even noticed the coffee was bigger than normal until Yongguk said that but he was thankful that Yongguk did buy him the bigger size. When they got to Changjo’s car, Changjo noticed that Yongguk was lingering around, which meant that he had something to say, but Changjo was cold and Yongguk wasn’t speaking so he realized he was going to have to ask him what was on his mind.

            “Do you have something you want to say?” Changjo asked and Yongguk what Changjo read as a surprised and somewhat nervous expression.

            “Uh…well you know tomorrow is Christmas Eve right?”

            “Yea,” Changjo said as he took another sip of his coffee to keep him warm while waiting for Yongguk to continue.

            “Well I was sort of wondering if you wanted to hang out or something, to you know, celebrate the holidays,” Yongguk said and Changjo could see how much the other boy wanted to hang out with him. It was almost weird for Changjo to see Yongguk so nice and docile even.

            “I’m actually really busy tomorrow. I have to do some last minute Christmas gift shopping and my Key appa wants me to help him put up some last minute decorations and stuff,” Changjo said and he could see the light dim slightly in Yongguk’s eyes, “but…I guess we can have dinner tonight if you want,” Changjo added, figuring that going out to dinner wouldn’t be too much of a big deal.

            Yongguk’s face lit up when Changjo said that though and he started naming a bunch of different places they could go at that moment, asking Changjo if he wanted to go home and change first, and just speaking a mile a minute that Changjo had to put his hands up to stop him.

            “Calm down hyung. You just pick the place and I’ll follow you in my car ok? Preferably not too fancy though.”

            “Alright, I just have to stop by my house real quick to pick something up and…”

            “That’s fine. Let’s just get moving before it gets too late, kay?” And with that Changjo got into his car, his heat to try and thaw out his frozen muscles, and waited for Yongguk to start driving away so that he could follow.

            When they arrived at the restaurant Changjo was a little upset that Yongguk still ended up picking a pretty upscale place. He felt like he was too underdressed but Yongguk kept reassuring him that he looked fine. Yongguk asked the waitress to get them a table in a more secluded area of the restaurant and Changjo felt like Yongguk was trying to make this more of a date, but nonetheless didn’t object since he didn’t want to be seen looking like a bum in such a nice place.

            “Yongguk, seriously why did you choose this place? I’m wearing jeans! I should’ve gone home to change if I knew we were coming here,” Changjo said in a hushed voice as not to disturb the few people around them.

            “You look fine Changjo, beautiful even. So just relax and order anything you like,” Yongguk said as he opened his menu and started looking for something good. Changjo felt his cheeks heat up slightly when Yongguk called him beautiful, but he blamed it on the intimate setting that they were in.

            A waiter soon came to take their orders and asked if they would be interested in any of their house wines. Changjo was about to say no until Yongguk quickly told him to bring them out one of their best white wines and Changjo looked at him with wide eyes.

            “Hyung, you’re driving. You shouldn’t drink,” Changjo scolded and Yongguk simply laughed at the younger’s worry.

            “It’s a light wine, I’ll be fine. Also I’ll be sharing with you, so I doubt we’ll be getting drunk.”

            “I’m not going to drink and drive,” Changjo said glaring slightly at Yongguk and Yongguk simply shrugged his shoulders, telling him to do what he wanted. As soon as the waiter came out with their bottle he poured them both a glass before leaving them alone again. Yongguk was the first to take a sip of his drink and he enjoyed how light and crisp the wine was.

            “Changjo at least taste it. It’s good, plus I’m paying for it,” he said as he gave him a small smile, but Changjo shook his head and simply stuck to drinking his water, causing Yongguk to let out a soft sigh as he put his glass back down.

            “Are you upset Changjo?” Yongguk hesitantly asked and Changjo looked at him before shaking his head slightly.

            “I just don’t want you to drink and drive hyung, what if you get in an accident?”

            “Are you worried about me?”

            “Of course I am! You’re my friend and I don’t want to see you get hurt,” Changjo said, offended that Yongguk would think he wouldn’t worry about him. Yongguk was hurt by Changjo calling him a friend, so he reached over the table and took Changjo’s hand in his as he stared directly into his eyes.

            “Is that still all you see me as Changjo? A friend?” he asked as he rubbed his thumb on the back of Changjo’s hand. Changjo quickly took his hand back, rubbing the spot that Yongguk had just touched before answering in a low “yes.”

            “Really? Ok then,” Yongguk said as he leaned back in his chair.

            When the food came their conversation became very limited to almost nonexistent and Changjo was starting to wonder why Yongguk wanted to hang out with him if he was hardly going to talk to him. It was getting almost painfully awkward to sit across from Yongguk in silence so Changjo did something that he said he wouldn’t just to spark some kind of conversation.

            “You’re right hyung, this wine is good,” Changjo said as he took a sip of his long forgotten glass of wine. Yongguk looked up at him and smiled before going back to paying attention to his food.

            Well, there goes that idea to spark conversation. Changjo thought to himself as he finished the glass in an irritated manner that caused Yongguk to let out a small chuckle.

            “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t drink?”

            “Well I might as well do something since you’re not going to talk to me. I can just call a taxi to take me home if I get drunk,” Changjo said offhandedly.

            “I’m sorry, I just was thinking and then…well its nothing. Do you want to get something for desert?” Yongguk asked as their plates were taken away.

            “No, I’m good. We can just pay and go,” Changjo was tired and he didn’t feel like being in the awkward situation any longer. Yongguk agreed and called the waiter for the check before giving him his card. Changjo tried to object saying that he wanted to pay for his half, but Yongguk quickly shooed the waiter away.

            “You should’ve let me pay for my food.”

            “It’s fine. I wanted to treat you,” Yongguk said as he gave him a soft smile causing Changjo to let out a soft sigh.

            “Hyung, you know this isn’t a date right. We just came out as friends tonight,” Changjo emphasized and once again he saw the sadness flash by Yongguk’s eyes when he reminded the older male that they were only friends.

            “Of course I know that. Can’t friends cover other friends’ meals every now and then?” Yongguk said quickly covering up his feelings for the time being. Changjo decided to just let it go. When the waiter came back Changjo started gathering his things but Yongguk stuck his hand out to stop him.

            “What hyung? Is something wrong?” Changjo asked as he looked at him still sitting down.

            “Umm…well…here,” Yongguk said as he placed a small box on the table in front of Changjo and Changjo looked at it with wide eyes before bringing his gaze back up to Yongguk.

            “What is this?”

            “Your Christmas present.” Yongguk answered.

            “Why…”

            “Just open it,” Yongguk cut Changjo off and Changjo sat back down in his chair before taking the small box into his hand and opening it slowly. As soon as he opened it he closed it and pushed the box back over to Yongguk.

            “I can’t accept that.”

            “Why not?” Yongguk asked hurt, “do you not like it? I mean I tried to find something I thought you would like but…”

            “Hyung!” Changjo cut him off but when he had his attention he didn’t know what to say. So he did the one thing that seemed right and that was to run away. He quickly grabbed his jacket and dashed out of the restaurant. Yongguk wasn’t far behind and soon Changjo felt his arm being grabbed as he was forcibly turned around.

            “Changjo why are you running away?” Yongguk asked but Changjo kept his head down so he wouldn’t have to completely face Yongguk. Yongguk wouldn’t have it though and put his hands on either side of Changjo’s face to bring his gaze up to his face.

            “Why are you crying?” Yongguk asked when he saw the tears streaming down Changjo’s cheeks. He was about to wipe one away with his thumb but Changjo slapped both of his hands away.

            “What are you doing Yongguk?! You said we could be friends but then you keep doing things as if we were dating. You meet me after work, bring me coffee or snacks, and then tonight you bring me to this super nice restaurant and give me…give me that thing!” Changjo yelled as the tears continued to flow out of his eyes.

            “I’m sorry Changjo, but you know how I feel about you and then you kissed me that time…”

            “That was a mistake!” Changjo screamed cutting Yongguk off, “I wasn’t thinking and…” Changjo was cut off by Yongguk’s lips on top of his as he was pulled into a tight embrace. The kiss was intense and Changjo once again felt his body melting in Yongguk’s arms. He wanted to push him away but at the same time he didn’t. The kiss they shared was salty because of Changjo’s tears but neither of them seemed to mind as they stood in the parking lot, letting the snow gently fall on them, while they shared their passionate embrace. Yongguk pulled away first, leaving just enough space between them so that he could look into Changjo’s eyes.

            “Don’t say that it was a mistake. You know it wasn’t, just like it isn’t now,” Yongguk said seriously as he stared deep into Changjo’s eyes.

            “Hyung, I can’t. I can’t love you again,” Changjo said as the tears silently continued to fall.

            “And why not? Why can’t you love me?”

            “Because I’m scared!!” Changjo screamed before burying his head into Yongguk’s chest and sobbing, “I’m scared Yongguk! I’m scared of being hurt again!!” Changjo said as he continued to cry into Yongguk’s jacket. Yongguk hugged Changjo tightly trying to calm him down a bit.

            “Changjo, just give me a chance. I promise I won’t hurt you ever again,” Yongguk whispered in his ear before pushing him away from his body slightly, “I won’t make you cry like this, so let your heart love me again,” Yongguk said before leaning down to place his lips on top of Changjo’s again. Changjo responded to the kiss and let out a soft moan when Yongguk ended it, wanting more.

            “Changjo…come spend the night with me,” Yongguk whispered out, trying not to scare the younger boy away.

            “Yongguk I don’t….”

            “We won’t do anything I swear. I just want to hold you in my arms for the night. I just want to be close to you,” Yongguk added to reassure the boy.

            “W-What about my car?”

            “Are you going to leave if I let you go?” Yongguk asked, scared that if he let Changjo go in his car he would drive home and leave him, but Changjo shook his head slowly.

            “Ok,” Yongguk gave him another small kiss, “let’s go then.”

            They both got into their respective cars and Changjo felt his heart beating a mile a minute as he tried to figure out just what he was doing while he followed Yongguk’s car. Every time he saw an exit on the highway he thought about turning off and going home, but something made him stick with following Yongguk until he ended up parked in front of his apartment. Yet, he didn’t leave the car. Changjo had already cut the engine but he couldn’t bring himself to get out of the car, not until Yongguk tapped on his window and jarred him out of his thoughts.

            “I thought you were going to drive off,” Yongguk said as they both walked into the building and up the stairs up to his place.

            “I said I wouldn’t so I didn’t,” Changjo replied in a low voice as he followed slowly behind Yongguk.

            “Umm…do you want to take a shower before going to bed?” Yongguk asked Changjo after they had arrived inside. Changjo nodded and Yongguk prepared a towel, washcloth, as well as a change of clothes for Changjo to take into the bathroom with him.

            As Changjo showered his mind slowly started to clear up and it was telling him that he should leave. That he shouldn’t be in Yongguk’s apartment right now and that he should just say that something came up and leave, but despite what his brain was telling him to do his gut told him he would be happier if he stayed. So he finished up his shower, changed into the clothes Yongguk provided for him, and decided he would stay.

            When he left the shower, he saw Yongguk sitting on the couch already in his pajamas, drinking a cup of water. Then as soon as Yongguk noticed him he stood up and asked Changjo if he was tired.

            “A little,” Changjo answered since he had been working all day and didn’t get a chance to rest at all yet.

            “We can go to bed now if you like,” Yongguk said already leading the way to the bedroom. Changjo was slowly noticing just how big Yongguk’s apartment was and his bedroom wasn’t small in the least. It held a queen size bed in the middle of the room, a desk with a laptop seated on it by the window that overlooked the city, and a closet on the left side of the room. It was very neat and almost looked like he hadn’t been home in a while.

            “The maid came in and cleaned today, so everything is all clean, including the sheets,” Yongguk stated as he sat on the bed, waiting for Changjo to join.

            Well that explains why this place is so clean, Changjo thought to himself before sitting on the edge of the bed opposite Yongguk. Yongguk had already gotten under the covers and was lying in the bed while Changjo was still sitting on the edge, back facing the other male.

            “Are you going to just sit there all night or actually come into the bed with me?” Yongguk laughed, trying to calm down an obviously tense Changjo. Changjo soon noticed that he was still sitting up, lost in his thoughts, and slowly lay down on the bed, still near the edge as far away from Yongguk as he could possibly be without falling off.

            “Umm…if you’re uncomfortable and want to go home…” Yongguk started but Changjo quickly turned around to face Yongguk before shaking his head no.

            “I…I want to stay,” Changjo said, his voice so low that Yongguk almost didn’t catch it, but Yongguk was happy that Changjo wanted to stay the night with him. He slowly moved closer to the other male and pulled him into his arms. All of his moves were slow and thoughtful as he tried not to scare Changjo or cause him to breakdown again like he did in the parking lot.

            “Are you ok Changjo?” Yongguk asked as he slowly ran his fingers through Changjo’s slightly damp hair. Changjo just nodded against his chest and Yongguk moved away a little so that he could see Changjo’s face. He thought the boy looked so beautiful in his arms, even without the makeup all on his face and all he wanted to do at that moment was kiss him. So he slowly started inching his mouth closer to Changjo’s before stopping and asking “Can I?”

            Changjo closed his eyes as his response and soon Yongguk connected their lips. It was soft and slow and such a blissful moment for Yongguk. He never wanted Changjo to leave his arms again. He wanted to be able to hold him like this at night and wake up to him in the morning and just be around the younger boy whenever possible.

            “Thank you,” Yongguk said when the kiss ended and Changjo looked at him, wondering what he was thanking him for.

            “For what?”

            “Just thank you for being with me tonight,” he said, breath slowly evening out as he started to fall asleep and as Changjo’s heartbeat finally started slowing down he felt safe in Yongguk’s arms, save and loved and with these feelings filling his chest he slowly fell asleep next to the one person he realized he never wanted to leave.

           The two of them ended up staying in bed until 11 the next morning and when they woke up Yongguk cooked brunch for both of them. Changjo was surprised that Yongguk knew how to cook, because back when they were in high school he had never seen his hyung make anything besides ramen and cereal.

            “You know I had to learn how to cook eventually. I can’t just keep hiring people to cook for me, especially when I want to be able to cook for the one I love,” Yongguk said as he kissed Changjo’s forehead before placing his plate of food in front of him.

            “Alright, stop with all the cheesiness so early in the morning. You’re going to make me lose my appetite,” Changjo complained, even though deep down he was happy to hear Yongguk say those sappy words. When he placed a spoonful of food in his mouth he was wonderfully surprised by how good it tasted.

            “Wow hyung, this is really good.”

            “Really? I’m glad, I was nervous you wouldn’t like it.”

            “No, I really like it. I might have to stay over more often to have you cook me breakfast like this,” Changjo let the words slip out of his mouth before thinking.

            “So, you didn’t mind staying the night with me?” Yongguk asked hesitantly and Changjo put his spoon down before shaking his head no.

            “And you would stay again if I invited?”

            “Maybe…” Changjo answered and after answering his question Yongguk left the room only to emerge a few seconds later with that small box from last night in his hand.

            “Will you accept this now?” Yongguk asked as he placed the box down in front of Changjo. Changjo looked from the box and back to Yongguk before asking his own question.

            “Do I have to wear it now? I mean…are we dating now?”

            “Only if you want us to be,” Yongguk said and Changjo looked back at the box before handing it back to Yongguk. He saw the disappointment in Yongguk’s eyes and let out a small chuckle.

            “Well aren’t you going to put it on me? Or do I have to put it on myself?” Changjo said as he stuck his hand out and a smile quickly appeared on Yongguk’s face as he opened the box and got down on one knee in front of Changjo, before slowly sliding the ring onto his ring finger.

            “I promise you’ll be happy with me this time around,” Yongguk said as he held Changjo’s hand in his and looked up at him.

            “I was happy last time, just don’t leave me again ok?”

            “The only way we’re breaking up is if you break up with me,” Yongguk said before standing up and kissing Changjo deeply. When they broke the kiss Changjo could help but laugh.

            “What are you laughing at?”

            “It feels like you just proposed to me,” he said as he looked at the ring on his left ring finger.

            “Well hopefully one day I can replace that ring with a real engagement ring. Then we’ll get married, live together, and I’ll knock you up and you can have plenty of babies,” Yongguk said and Changjo pushed him away laughing.

            “Stupid, I’m not going to be some stay at home wife for you and I’m obviously not having any of your kids.”

            “Aww c’mon, you would look so pretty, glowing with pregnancy,” Yongguk joked and Changjo punched him in the arm.

            “Shut up hyung!”

            They spent a little bit more time together before Changjo figured that he should be heading home. So they said their goodbyes and Changjo promised to call Yongguk when he got home. When Changjo got home he was met at the door by a very upset and frantic Key.

            “Changjo where have you been all night?” Key asked as he grabbed him by the arms.

            “Umm I was with a friend…”

            “Whatever, just get in here,” Key said as he pulled Changjo into the living room and there was some weird lady sitting on the couch and Jonghyun sitting in the chair adjacent from the couch.

            “Uh who is this Key appa?” Changjo asked before he suddenly remembered something. “Wait! You’re that weird lady from the mall that came up to me that one time!” Changjo exclaimed as he pointed at her.

            “Changjo don’t point,” Jonghyun said and Changjo looked at both of his parents weird, trying to figure out why this crazy lady was in his house.

            “Changjo you should sit down,” Key said motioning to the couch but Changjo didn’t want to sit; he just wanted to know what was going on.

            “Umm…I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have come. I know I shouldn’t have. I’m so sorry for ruining your Christmas Eve,” the woman said as she started getting up from the couch but Jonghyun told her to sit back down.

            “You’re already here, no point in leaving now. Changjo this is your mother,” Jonghyun stated bluntly deciding to just put it out in the open.

            “W-What?” Changjo said as he fell to the floor.

            M-Mother? She’s my…mother?

WHAT?! More character development?! New plot twist?! Will this story ever end?! Oh god i hope so...someone please take my brain away and tell it to stop coming up with new things to add. Also thank you all that voted. this chapter ended up being 10,836 words. So yea... really long. I hope you all enjoy and are not too confused. leave any comments or questions or anything. I'll try and answer anything you might be confused with. or weird plot holes...(it happens, i'm not perfect, and also i write sleep deprived a lot and don't proofread). Anyway that's all.

Chapter 66: Noo, Ricky don't do it. Would what Yongguk did to Changjo be considered (because it was unwanted...)

Chapter 66: Author-ssi. Wow.. It's been a long time and I didn't know how many chapters I missed till now. Hope you've been well! I seem to be out of the loop about the chapter you deleted so I hope I understand things okay. Either way I've missed you~

Changjo. I think it's mad disrespectful that you didn't say anything about your biological parents. It's your life but they were a ginormous part of it and you at least owe them honesty as well as respect when regarding your choices. Also you need check your boyfriend. I'm sure if he didn't act so rude around them they'd be more inclined to you dating...

Yongguk. You make me mad like 95% percent of the time. Even if they bother you. Even if they hassle you and don't approve of you. You should still be the bigger person. They're parents only looking out for thier children whether it be in the right way or not. You should be groveling for thier forgiveness or at the least respectful... not being a patronizing . I know you can do it. I know you think it. Just show it to them.

Jongkey. Y'all cute. I've missed you so. I almost feel nostalgic when you guys come around. It's been a long ride.

Ricky. Maybe Ricky should learn how to be Ricky by himself. You still got a lot of growing to do baby.. Don't make any rash decisions.

Seungho. SO IM HELLA CONFUSED. Swear you liked home at one point.. And now I'm upset cause you'd be so good to him. To anyone. Actually lets just get married. You deserve the noble prize loyalty.

Author-ssi again. Don't worry about updating. As you can tell I've been here for years and I'll be here for plenty more just to see how this series ends. Congrats on any and all good things that may have happend to you! Most of all thank you for always coming back.

Chapter 66: im kind of disappointed at yongguk because he practically forced changjo in having AGAIN. from how you wrote it, it was obvious he wasn't ready and he had to just stick it in. i wonder if changjo is mad about this or if he will let it slide and start having lots of with yongguk. from his last chapter it seems like he's insecure about having fully. also, it doesn't matter if it's necessary to bring up, but changjo should have told both his fathers that he is connecting with his biological parents. i think it's disrespectful to leave them out of the picture about that and then having to hear it from someone else. also, how did his father even find him? did his mother tell him? i wonder when/how that happened. im assuming she kept in contact with her ex, but still it seemed like he didn't want to keep in touch with her because of his life. just seems off.

Chapter 65: oh my god yesss! i've been a loyal reader and never commented. also....when is changjo going to tell his father's that he's been seeing his biological parents....especially his biological father? although he has the right to see his biological parents...i feel iike he's doing it behind his jongkey's back. I think they have the right to know if changjo is going to have a relationship with his biological parents...especially if one of them is going to try and force changjo into taking over his company. i have this feeling key will be very upset and get emotional/depressed just like he did previously due to his insecurity of changjo leaving him.
