Good-Bye

Our Happy Family

Changjo was sitting across from the man that had just bought him lunch and he had to keep himself from staring at him too hard. He decided on a simple lunch set to have because he didn’t want to make the other guy spend too much money on him even though the guy told him he could pick whatever he wanted. There was slight awkward silence hanging in the air as he pushed his food around before deciding that he would break the silence.

“So, what’s your name?” The other guy asked first, beating him to the punch and Changjo was grateful that he didn’t have to initiate the conversation.

“My name is Kim Changjo. You?”

“I’m Yang Seungho. How old are you Changjo? Figured we should get the age thing sorted out first so that we can feel comfortable talking to each other,” Seungho said with a small smile on his face that Changjo couldn’t help but return.

            “I’m 18 but I’ll be 19 in November.”

“Oh wow. So young. That makes you a freshman doesn’t it?”

“Yea. And what do you mean so young? How old are you?”

Seungho hesitated as he looked down at his half-eaten food. “Ok, just don’t make fun of me.”

“Why would I make fun of you?”

            “Because I’m a sophomore.”

“So you’re only a year older than me,” Changjo said and Seungho shook his head.

            “I’m 23, turning 24 in October.”

“Oh…yea, you are old. But wait, how are you only a sophomore then?” Changjo asked confused.

“I went to the military right after high school to get it out of the way. So after doing that I came here.”

“Ah…well that explains why you’re so old, but at least you don’t have to go to the military now. You can date someone and start a family right after college. Well that is after you get a job,” Changjo said laughing a bit to himself.

“Yea, I guess. Anyway, what’s your major Changjo?”

“Dance and vocal performance with a minor in lyrical composition.”

“You’re really doing a lot aren’t you?” Seungho said and Changjo shrugged his shoulders.

“It’s just what I’m interested in. How about you?”

“Dance. My focus in going to be contemporary dance after I graduate and go to grad school.”

“We could be in the same classes next semester then!” Changjo exclaimed with a smile on his face.

“Probably not. You’ll probably be taking the intro dance class next semester while I’m taking upper level ones.”

“Ah…you’re right,” Changjo’s smile fell and Seungho couldn’t help but laugh at him.

“It’s ok. We’ll still see each other around. Plus we can keep hanging out and getting lunch like this.”

“You want to spend all your time with someone as young as me? Do you not have any other friends?”

Seungho chuckled again. “I have other friends. I’ll invite them next time so you can meet them.”

“Ok, I’ll invite my roommate too then.”

“It’s a date then!” Seungho said as he laughed some more and Changjo decided that he really liked his laugh.

After they finished eating Changjo went back to his dorm and Seungho had to go to another class. They had agreed to have dinner together the next day since Seungho had a full day and in Changjo’s head he was really excited because he thought of it as a date. That was until he remembered that Seungho would be bringing his friends and he also said that he would invite his roommate.

“I guess it could be a group date?” Changjo thought out loud to himself but quickly shook his head at how stupid he sounded. He knew that Seungho only wanted to be friends, but he kept getting his hopes up that maybe it could lead to more.

While Changjo was thinking about Seungho and trying to focus on his reading for class tomorrow, time slowly slipped by until the next time he looked at the time it was 5:58.  Changjo suddenly remembered the text that Yongguk sent him to meet him in the classroom at 6 and he wondered if he should go or not. He felt like it would just be a bad idea to show up but he also wanted to know what Yongguk had to tell him.

So he let out a soft sigh before getting up out of his bed, putting on his shoes, and heading to the building. It took him about 12 minutes to get there and he started thinking that Yongguk wouldn’t be there since he was late.

“You’re late Changjo,” he heard Yongguk say as he entered the dark classroom. Well there goes his theory of Yongguk leaving. Changjo quickly flipped on the light switch and saw Yongguk sitting on the professor’s desk.

“Why are you sitting in the dark? Hiding from your responsibilities,” Changjo said as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall near the door. Yongguk quickly hopped off of the desk before making his way over to Changjo in quick strides until he was standing right in front of him.

“I told you I didn’t get anyone pregnant.”

“How do you explain my sister’s child then? Who just so happens to have your eyes,” Changjo said as he looked him straight in the eyes. Changjo had grown taller but Yongguk was still a bit taller than him in the end.

“Have you ever thought that it’s my brothers?”

            “She said it was yours.”

“And why would she say that? I’ve never done more than touch her hand. Personally, she’s not really my type. While you,” Yongguk ran his eyes up and down Changjo’s body, “You’re really my type. Now more than ever,” Yongguk said as he his lips.

“You’re really something aren’t you? You’re going to just keep lying until the end aren’t you? Bomi told us the whole story about how you and Yongnam switch places sometimes and you girls in his place.”

“What?! Ew…first off sharing girls with my brother is gross. That’s like sleeping with my brother. And secondly I already told you that your sister isn’t my type. So I don’t know where she heard that from but I never slept with her,” Yongguk said and Changjo slowly lowered his arms, starting to believe Yongguk.

“If you didn’t sleep with her though, why would she tell us that you were the father of her child?”

Yongguk let out a harsh sigh before pulling his phone out of his pocket and dialing a number. He put the phone on speaker and soon the other person picked up.

            “What do you want Guk?”

“Nam, you remember that girl you dated?”

“Which one? You’re going to have to be more specific since I’ve dated quite a few girls.”

Yongguk looked at Changjo and mouthed “name” to him, asking for his sister’s name and Changjo mouthed the answer back.

            “That girl Bomi.”

“Ah yea her. That was forever ago, why are you bringing her up now?”

“Did you tell her that I got her pregnant?”

“Yo, did she come looking for child support from you? Just don’t pay her ok and don’t take a paternity test or she’ll find out that it’s really mine.”

“Why did you tell her I got her pregnant then?” Yongguk asked and Changjo could see the anger raising in his face.

“Sorry for throwing you under the bus Guk. I figured she would get an abortion and this would all be over with, I guess not. You know I don’t want any kids. You were always the father type, but yea, just ignore her and she’ll go away. Anyway, I got to go,” Yongnam hung up the phone after that and Yongguk looked about three seconds from throwing his phone on the ground.

“That ing ! I swear I’m going to punch him in the face next time I see him,” Yongguk started venting to himself forgetting for a moment that Changjo was in the room.

The only thing going through Changjo’s mind at the moment though was that Yongguk didn’t actually cheat on him. That he wasn’t an actual . That only left one question that Changjo wanted to know the answer to.

“W-Why did you break up with me then if you weren’t cheating on me?”

“What? You thought I broke up with you because I was ing your sister?”

Changjo nodded his head and Yongguk couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Well, that’s not why I broke up with you. I did it because your father told me too. Honestly I was tired of them always in our relationship, but I guess I should’ve just ignored it.”

“Really?! That’s the reason, because my appa told you to break up with me?”

“Listen, you were technically under-aged at the time. I could’ve went to jail if they really wanted me to. So I wasn’t going to risk that over a relationship. But now, now you’re older,” Yongguk started walking closer to Changjo until the other boy’s back hit the wall again, “more mature,” he placed his hands on Changjo’s hips, “and definitely hotter then you were three years ago,” he said as his lips lightly rubbed against Changjo’s.

Changjo felt himself getting drawn back into Yongguk as he took a small inhale of breath causing their chests to touch. He lowered his eyes down to Yongguk’s lips before looking back up to his eyes. He wanted to kiss those lips that he used to crave three years ago, he just wanted to feel them on top of his own again, to feel loved by Yongguk again, and he soon got his wish as Yongguk lowered his lips on top of Changjo’s.

The kiss started out slow, almost as if they were trying to figure out how to kiss each other after these three long years, but soon Yongguk took the next step in deepening the kiss. He moved his hand that was on Changjo’s hip to around his waist so that he could pull his body flush against his own. Changjo let out a soft gasp at the motion as he lifted his arms to go around Yongguk’s neck. He kept sticking his tongue out just a little to meet Yongguk’s heated kisses and he loved the feeling that was coursing through him just from kissing the older man again. Changjo didn’t know how much he actually missed being in Yongguk’s arms until he was back in his arms.

Soon Changjo pulled away from this kiss to breathe and Yongguk loved how Changjo’s face looked so blissful from a simple kiss. He was starting to wonder what kind of faces Changjo would make if he was underneath him again and just the thought of ing him had him slowly becoming hard.

“Hey, how about we go to my apartment and pick up where we left off,” Yongguk whispered into Changjo’s ear before lightly biting the top of it. Changjo simply shook his head at Yongguk’s suggestion.

“Oh, so you can’t wait either? I didn’t think you would want to do it here, but I’m fine with that idea too,” Yongguk said as he reached out to Changjo’s pants but Changjo placed his hand on top of Yongguk’s stopping him before leaning up to place a small kiss on Yongguk’s lips.

“No hyung. This is goodbye,” Changjo said as he pulled away from Yongguk, gave him a small smile and left the classroom. He felt happy finally. He felt like he could truly move on knowing that Yongguk never actually cheated on him three years ago, knowing that he didn’t actually impregnate his sister, and knowing that he actually had some kind of feelings for him then and maybe even now. Knowing all of these things, Changjo felt like he could actually move on with his life for real this time. Start dating other people and finally doing other things that made him happy. Most importantly he was happy that he got a chance to say goodbye to his first love the way he wanted to.

Yay updates! Love me! And enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 66: Author-ssi. Wow.. It's been a long time and I didn't know how many chapters I missed till now. Hope you've been well! I seem to be out of the loop about the chapter you deleted so I hope I understand things okay. Either way I've missed you~

Changjo. I think it's mad disrespectful that you didn't say anything about your biological parents. It's your life but they were a ginormous part of it and you at least owe them honesty as well as respect when regarding your choices. Also you need check your boyfriend. I'm sure if he didn't act so rude around them they'd be more inclined to you dating...

Yongguk. You make me mad like 95% percent of the time. Even if they bother you. Even if they hassle you and don't approve of you. You should still be the bigger person. They're parents only looking out for thier children whether it be in the right way or not. You should be groveling for thier forgiveness or at the least respectful... not being a patronizing . I know you can do it. I know you think it. Just show it to them.

Jongkey. Y'all cute. I've missed you so. I almost feel nostalgic when you guys come around. It's been a long ride.

Ricky. Maybe Ricky should learn how to be Ricky by himself. You still got a lot of growing to do baby.. Don't make any rash decisions.

Seungho. SO IM HELLA CONFUSED. Swear you liked home at one point.. And now I'm upset cause you'd be so good to him. To anyone. Actually lets just get married. You deserve the noble prize loyalty.

Author-ssi again. Don't worry about updating. As you can tell I've been here for years and I'll be here for plenty more just to see how this series ends. Congrats on any and all good things that may have happend to you! Most of all thank you for always coming back.

Chapter 66: im kind of disappointed at yongguk because he practically forced changjo in having AGAIN. from how you wrote it, it was obvious he wasn't ready and he had to just stick it in. i wonder if changjo is mad about this or if he will let it slide and start having lots of with yongguk. from his last chapter it seems like he's insecure about having fully. also, it doesn't matter if it's necessary to bring up, but changjo should have told both his fathers that he is connecting with his biological parents. i think it's disrespectful to leave them out of the picture about that and then having to hear it from someone else. also, how did his father even find him? did his mother tell him? i wonder when/how that happened. im assuming she kept in contact with her ex, but still it seemed like he didn't want to keep in touch with her because of his life. just seems off.

Chapter 65: oh my god yesss! i've been a loyal reader and never commented. also....when is changjo going to tell his father's that he's been seeing his biological parents....especially his biological father? although he has the right to see his biological parents...i feel iike he's doing it behind his jongkey's back. I think they have the right to know if changjo is going to have a relationship with his biological parents...especially if one of them is going to try and force changjo into taking over his company. i have this feeling key will be very upset and get emotional/depressed just like he did previously due to his insecurity of changjo leaving him.
