Christmas came and went in the Kim household. Jonghyun and Key both had Changjo set out cookies for Santa the night before and in morning they opened presents together. Changjo loved every bit of it and asked when Santa would come back.

            “Next year.” Key said.

            “Long time?”

          “Yea it’s a long time but he needs to sleep because he’s tired. He gave gifts to all the kids all over the world.”

            “All the kids?!” He asked surprised.

            “Yep all of them.”

            “Wow!” Changjo said as he played with a toy truck he had received as a gift.

Jonghyun and Key had both taken off a week for the Christmas holiday so that they could spend it as a family. During that break there was a snowstorm in Seoul. Key thinking ahead of time already had the house stocked up for it though. So the morning after the storm he made pancakes for Changjo and afterwards put him in his snowsuit.

            “Key appa Changjo hot.”

            “Well you’ll be cold when you go and play in the snow if I don’t put you in this.”

            “Snow?! Changjo play in snow?!”

            “Yes you’re going to play in the snow. Your Jjong appa is going to take you.”

Changjo looked at Jonghyun who was sitting down watching the airing of his most recent show he was on. He didn’t even hear what Key had said. Key just finished getting Changjo ready to go out though.

            “Ok Changjo go over to Jjong appa and tell him to take you outside.” Key said with a smile on his face.

Changjo ran over, more like waddled over, to Jonghyun and started pulling on his hand.

            “Jjong appa! Changjo play in snow!!”

            “Huh?”

            “Play in snow! Snow, snow!!”

            “Oh you want to go outside and play?”

Changjo nodded his head happily at Jonghyun.

            “Come Jjong appa!”

            “Alright, alright. Let me get my coat ok?”

After Jonghyun got his coat he went over to Key who was washing the dishes from breakfast and wrapped his arms around his waist.

            “Are you going to come and play with us?”

            “Yea. Right after I finish cleaning.”

            “Jjong appa! Snow! Snow!” Changjo chanted as he pulled on Jonghyun’s pant leg.

            “Coming. Coming.”

Jonghyun lifted Changjo up and brought him into the backyard to play. He placed Changjo in the snow and it almost swallowed him.

            “Too much snow Jjong appa!” Changjo whined. Jonghyun laughed and picked him back up.

            “You’re right Changjo too much snow.” He said as he placed him on a more solid area of snow that he could stand on without sinking in.

            “How about Changjo and appa have a snowball fight?” Jonghyun suggested to Changjo.

            “Fight! Fight!” He exclaimed jumping.

Jonghyun built him some snowballs that he would be able to throw at him. He took one and lightly threw it at Changjo. Changjo seemed shocked but soon picked one up and threw it at Jonghyun.

            “Ah!! I’ve been hit!” Jonghyun said as he overreacted and feel to the ground. Changjo looked down at his appa in the snow with a worried look on his face.

            “Jjong appa?” He called out and Jonghyun jumped up from the snow and picked Changjo up in his arms. He spun him around a few time causing Changjo to laugh.

Key had finished cleaning and was now heading out to go play with Jonghyun and Changjo. Jonghyun spotted Key coming out of the house and put Changjo down for a second to make some more snowballs.

            “Changjo we’re going to hit Key appa with a snowball ok?”

Changjo nodded his head as he took the snowball from his Jjong appa. Jonghyun lifted Changjo up again and brought him over to Key.

            “Hey Changjo are you having fun in the snow?” Key asked not noticing the ball of snow in Changjo’s hand.

            “Ok Changjo 1…2…3!” Jonghyun yelled and Changjo threw the snowball at Key. Jonghyun had gotten him close enough that it was able to hit Key right on the arm. After Changjo threw it Jonghyun ran away with him to the other side of the yard.

            “Wait until I get you Changjo!” Key called out playfully and chased after them.

They all ended up playing for a while and even made a mini snowman with Changjo. Soon they went inside because Key didn’t want Changjo out in the cold for too long. When they went inside Jonghyun was in charge of getting Changjo out of his snowsuit and warming him up while Key made some hot chocolate for all of them.

            He brought the mugs out into the living room to Jonghyun and Changjo who were under a blanket in front of their lit fireplace. Key sat down with them and brought Changjo over to him so that he can give him his hot chocolate.

            “Changjo you want some hot chocolate?” He asked as he showed it to Changjo.

Changjo nodded his head and tried to stick his face in the cup to drink it.

            “Wait, wait.” Key said pulling it away from him slightly. He then put it up to his lips and Changjo drank it happily.

Jonghyun picked up a cup and tried to drink it but ended up burning his tongue.

            “Ah! It’s hot!”

            “Of course it is. It’s hot chocolate.” Key said as he rolled his eyes.

            “Well then how is Changjo drinking his?”

            “I cooled it down with milk before giving it to him.”

            “Why didn’t you do that for mine?”

            “Because you aren’t two. Or at least sometimes I want to believe you aren’t two.”

            “Haha very funny.”

            “Do you want me to kiss it all better?” Key said in a tone as if he was talking to a baby.

            “Actually yes.” Jonghyun said as he stuck his tongue out.

Key rolled his eyes again and placed a kiss on Jonghyun’s tongue. Changjo saw and wanted a kiss too.

            “Changjo too! Changjo too!” He said tugging on Key’s shirt.

            “You want a kiss too?” Key asked. Changjo nodded his head and stuck his tongue out. Key laughed and kissed Changjo’s cheek. Changjo stared at Key and then pointed to his tongue to show that he wanted a kiss like Key gave Jonghyun.

            “That kind of kiss is only for adults Changjo. You kiss like this.” Key demonstrated to Changjo by puckering his lips.

            “Like this!” Changjo copied Key and then Key gave him a kiss.

            “Yep like that.”

            “Jjong appa kiss.” Changjo said as he puckered his lips again. Jonghyun laughed and placed a peck on Changjo’s lips too. Changjo was smiling after receiving his kisses from his appas. Soon Changjo fell asleep lying on Key’s chest while Key was lying in Jonghyun’s lap.

            “Changjo’s sleeping.” Key whispered to Jonghyun.

            “Do you want me to take him into his room?”

            “Yea. I don’t think I can get up without waking him.”

Jonghyun then slowly slid from under Key so that Key didn’t hit his head on the floor and picked Changjo up from on top of Key. He brought him into his room and tucked him in, in the bed before heading back out to be with Key. Key was putting out the fire in the fire place when Jonghyun came back over to him.

            “You didn’t have to put it out.”

            “Too late now.”

Jonghyun pulled Key into his arms and smiled at him.

            “What? Why are you smiling like that?”

            “Because I can.” He said holding him tighter.

            “Well stop it’s creepy.” Key said as he tried to walk out of his grip but Jonghyun wouldn’t let him.

            “Jjong let go.”

            “Not until you give me an adult kiss.”

            “Huh?”

            “You heard me. I want a grown-up kiss. Please.” He said giving Key his famous puppy dog eyes.

Key laughed at his silliness before giving into his request. They shared the kiss for a little while before pulling away for air and resting their foreheads against each other’s.

            “Happy now?”

            “Very.” Jonghyun said before he gave Key another peck and walked away to the kitchen.

My whole family’s obsessed with kisses. Let’s just hope Changjo doesn’t become as obsessed with skinship as his Jjong appa.
