He came out from behind the pillars, revealing his identity. We were never expecting it, but then, he stood beside Aerin and slung an arm around her shoulder, possessively holding her close. He eyed us both as we stood there stock-still. I wanted to keel over and just lose all consciousness. All along, after all this time, she had been playing us at the palm of he hands. She had her fingers wrapped tightly around our necks and she was gripping even tighter.

I swallowed as I stepped forward. “What’s going on?”

Aerin flashed a rueful smile despite of her tears. “Sehun, Chan Yeol, I’m so sorry.”

“What?” I gasped, about to grab her when I felt another hand stop me. I looked behind me and glared at Chan Yeol hyung. I snatched my arm back harshly.

“Aerin, what’s the meaning of this?” he asked her. He still had it in him to be gentle despite of what was happening.

She broke free from the restraining hands of the person she played us with. She stepped forward, her eyes imploring. “I’m so sorry. I just can’t…I can’t choose between you two.”

“WHAT?!” we chorused.

I took her by the shoulders. “Aerin-ah! Tell me you’re kidding.” I laughed hysterically. “You’re joking, right? This isn’t real.”

She shook her head gravely. “I’m sorry, Sehun.”

“How the hell did this happen?” Chan Yeol hyung demanded, his voice cracking.
