-Aerin’s POV- “Good morning!” Chan Yeol jumped in front of me out of nowhere, wearing that bright, bright smile I was still trying to get used to. He really looked cute when he’s feeling exceptionally bubbly. I liked that about him. To be honest, I liked it a lot. Now I know what’s making all those girls fall head over heels in love with him, not that I was. He just had that ability to make a room seem brighter whenever he was there. It’s been a week since we started hanging out together. Well, he was the only friend I’ve got in school and he makes things better for me. Since that day at the rooftop, he’d always drop by my class and join me for lunch. I still didn’t eat at the cafeteria and he adjusted to that. He’s proving to be less and less annoying with each day I was with him. I guess I could say we’re good friends now. It made me feel guilty that I judged him before I came to know him. I don’t know him well, but I knew enough to confidently say that he’s a good kid after all. Moreover, he cheers me up. Sehun and I were still not talking. I chuckled. “You’re never out of energy, are you?” I said, walking ahead of me. He kept pace with me easily, flashing me a cheeky smile. “I slept early last night so I feel really good today.” I grinned at him. “I reckon you had a great day yesterday.” He walked backwards, facing me. “Only because you called me.” He laughed, almost giggled. I just stared at him as he continued walking that way. “You’ll trip if you keep doing that.” He reached over and pinched me on the cheek. “You be my eyes.” I rolled my eyes. He was now skipping, still backwards. All of a sudden, he collided to a girl. I pulled them both up before they fall into a tangled mess on the floor. “Careful!” I said, steadying them both. The girl bowed, murmuring her thanks then walked past us to where she was going. Chan Yeol and I watched as she went to the intersecting hallway. He then sighed. “You owe her an apology.” He smiled at me. “I know.” I shook my head at him then began climbing the stairs to the second floor. “Did you talk to Hunnie?” he asked all of a sudden, making me stop dead on my tracks. Why was he asking me that? I shook my head. “Why is that? You live in one home and share one room. Isn’t that hard?” I shook my head again. “No. In fact, it’s better. He leaves me be and I don’t hear him whining all the time.” He frowned. “That’s not so nice. You’re friends. You should –” I cut him short. “He’s not my friend. We’re merely housemates.” “That’s impossible. He really seemed concerned about you.” Arching a brow at him, I continued walking again. “How can you say that?” “Rooftop?” He shot me a quizzical look. “He was evidently worried about you that’s why he got mad.” It was my turn to frown. “He didn’t have to call me stupid,” I muttered under my breath, staring ahead. “It’s not the first time he’s doing it, don’t worry.” “Really? So you fight a lot?” “Chan Yeol-ah, you do see that I’m not stressing about it, right? That should have given you a clue.” “It doesn’t bother you?” “Aniyo. Believe me. It’s better this way.” That was true. Sparks fly whenever we meet and we’d end up fighting like cat and dog, chasing each other around until someone gets hurt. It was getting older. It’s always the case. I find enjoyment in our arguments at first, but I just got sick of it. I don’t even know why he’s affecting me that way lately. He just nodded and we walked in silence until we reached my Biology classroom. He gave me a gentle shove before leaving. “See you around.” I nodded then went to sit with Kai. “Good morning,” I said to him. “Morning, Aerin. Was that Chan Yeol hyung?” I nodded. “It’s true then,” he said as he opened a book. What was this kid talking about? -D.O.’s POV- Lunch time. My favorite time of the day. As usual, we were all seated on our table by the glass walls of the cafeteria and Chan Yeol hyung was missing. Sehun had been hanging out a lot with us lately and we knew t
