-Aerin’s POV- Ms. Choi’s voice came like sharp daggers through my ears. I wonder how she was able to say my name so clearly when she was screeching all the while. It was an even bigger question as to how she managed to penetrate the loud music with the volume at maximum. I shifted my gaze from the gardener to her and just stared, making sure she saw that I was dying of boredom. I didn’t care to unplug my earphones, neither did I stand up. I gave her a look as if to say, ‘What do you want?’ “Repeat what I just said,” she commanded with authority that almost made me laugh out loud. Growing up in a family with an authoritarian father, I was used to it and she wasn’t even halfway there. Suddenly, I missed my father. He died two years ago. I wondered how things would have turned out if he was alive. I grinned impishly at the middle-aged, uptight woman, all the while fighting the urge to burst into giggles. She sounded like a mentally-challenged creep. “Do I really have to?” I said, but I really wanted to ask her if she had impairment in . The look on her face was priceless as she realized that I was, once again, taunting her. She fought to keep her composure, but blood vessels were already showing around her neck where she concentrated all the pressure. Ms. Choi usually starts screaming at me at this point of our conversation. I even saw one of my classmates covering his ears already. It was like that from the moment I entered her class. At first, it was fun watching her face turn from red to purple, but after days of seeing her like that, I grew tired of it. She sighed. “What did I tell you, Miss Kwon?” “Alright,” I smirked. “‘Nothing is worse than active ignorance.’” I said her exact words, all the while maintaining a bored expression. “Should I mention who quoted it?” “Did I tell you to?” “That’s precisely why I’m asking. You didn’t.” Several people laughed at that, but it was short lived as the tyrant teacher shot them angry glares from every side. It was fascinating how she does that. I guess I’ve got admit that she had the talent to pacify her class without much effort. She then shifted her gaze to me. “You’re really a problem child, aren’t you?” She smiled her fake smile at me. I took a quick scan of the people around me before answering her. Everyone was staring as if they all expect me to say something and probably avenge them for her utter rudeness. What had she done to everyone anyway? Tortured them? It was like they were scared of her or something. “Well?” I shrugged. That got her to stand straight and cross her arms. It was working. I was pissing the hell out of her. “If your plan is to impress me, Aerin, it’s not working,” she snarled, saying my name with disdain. This . I laughed sardonically. “Who said anything about impressing you, Choi sonsaeng-nim? A vain person like you does not know the feeling of being impressed. It’s a waste.” I don’t know what has gotten into me. I was usually respectful to my teachers and elders. I saw her flinch at my words. “Kwon Aerin! You dare insult me in fr
