-Aerin’s POV- Morning passed by in a blur. It was weird. My eyes were swollen, my bruise became more pronounced, purple and ugly, and my hand began throbbing. I woke up with blood-soaked bandages that lay in tatters on the floor and my bed sheet had stains on it, too. When I finally decided to get up, I saw Sehun seated on his bed, already in his uniform and grinning at me like a dork. He seemed to be in a better mood despite of what happened the previous night. I thought I knew what he meant, but upon seeing him, I couldn’t remember anything that made sense anymore. All I knew was that he kissed me, apologized in advance for it then I got confused and started apologizing, too. That was crazy and surreal. I couldn’t remember how it felt kissing Chan Yeol anymore. The pounding in my head continued even as I trudged towards the cafeteria for lunch. Oh wait. I didn’t want to eat there. Halfway towards it, I turned around and headed to the rooftop. My head was hurting me so much that I thought I’d collapse at any given time. When I got there, I stood under the door post and saw the six-headed monster I’ve been trying to avoid all morning. I already encountered two of its heads before going to school and at my Biology class. So they all planned to eat at the rooftop where they thought I would be at. This must be my unlucky day. “Aerin~!” Kai said, eagerly, waving at me. I just nodded and turned back to the hallway slowly. It was more like dragging my feet against the marble floor than walking. I guess I’ll be getting the infirmary pass this time for real. I felt awful both inside and out. To my further aggravation, I heard two pairs of feet running towards me. Since it was futile to even try to outrun the boys, I just continued walking in my sluggish pace. Soon, two people were walking beside me. I didn’t even notice who they were until one of them spoke. “Aerin? Are you avoiding us?” It was Kai. I shook my head without looking at him and I kept walking until we reached the landing of the stairs. I felt two hands seizing both of my shoulders and turning me around. I found myself staring back into Baekhyun’s pretty eyes. I was surprised that I was still able to respond that way to seeing it. He stared at me with wide eyes. “Wah~! Aerin, what happened to you?” he asked, poking at my bruise. I didn’t care covering it anymore. Besides, Chan Yeol and Sehun would have told the others anyway. I winced. “Stop that.” I said, jerking away from him. “I fell off and I’m fine.” Kai looked at me with concern. “Aerin, aren’t you going to have lunch with us today?” he asked, a hint of hopefulness in his tone. I managed to flash a weak smile at the two people. They were really adorable when they wanted to be. “Am I not late?” I said, thinking of an excuse. They took either of my hands and walked me back to the rooftop eagerly. Soon, I was sitting with six people. Chan Yeol tapped the spot beside him, telling me to take it, but then, I saw Sehun looking at me. There was a vacant space behind him, too. I remained standing, weighing my options. If I sat with Sehun, Chan Yeol would think that I was avoiding him after what happened the previous day and I sat with Chan Yeol, I didn’t know what Sehun would think, but I knew it wouldn’t be nice. I pretended not to notice Chan Yeol’s gesture squeezed in between D.O. and Suho oppa. “Hello,” I said the moment I was seated. Chan Yeol winked at me. I just nodded at him. D.O. was staring at me. “Are you sick?” he asked. I shook my head. “No.” “But you look pale. Are you sure?” He touched my forehead with his palm. “You’re quite warm.” “Did you get into a fight?” Suho oppa asked, pointing at his own cheek to indicate what he was talking about. “I feel fine,” I said to D.O. then looked at Suho oppa. “I fell off yesterday. Remember this?” I raised my hand, revealing the raw cuts that were still slightly moist with drying blood. It looked like a mess. I tried keeping it from Kai’s line of vision that morning and he gasped upon seeing it. “
