-Aerin’s POV- I came out of the bathroom wearing my favorite blue robe early Saturday morning. I was feeling quite well even if I made my hand worse by punching that Gen Ed senior’s ugly face, but it was healing nicely. My neck still felt like it couldn’t support my head anymore and I was glad the doctor didn’t prescribe a neck-brace for me to wear the previous day when I finally agreed to be brought to our family physician to get checked. Getting into fights, that case wasn’t new to our doctor. He’ll just tell me to be careful and pack harder punches the next time. I’ve always gotten into trouble at my old school. My friends were trouble magnets and I never had the patience to deal with our usual enemies with negotiations. Thus, I had far worse injuries. “Good morning, princess,” I heard Sehun say from his bed as I walked up to my portion of the room. “Morning, Hunnie,” I greeted back, but didn’t look at him. He didn’t say anything more so I went to my walk-in wardrobe and changed into a pair of dark, fitted jeans, a white, V-neck shirt and a gray cardigan. I then took my flat calf boots which were of the same hue as that of my cardigan. When I went out of the wardrobe, I found Sehun seated on me bed. I sighed. “I just made the bed, in case you haven’t noticed.” “I’m just sitting, neat freak. No need to be so grouchy,” he answered, sniggering at me. I just let it slide and sat down beside him, putting on my boots. We sat in silence until I finished putting them on. I then began combing my hair, but he took the brush from my hand and began running it through my hair himself. He used to do that a lot, telling me he was curious about why girls had to have long hair and guys didn’t. Suddenly, I felt his hand parting my hair then touched my neck. “The bruise is fading,” he said quietly. “It’s been three days. What do you expect?” He pouted and for a second there, I saw a glimpse of his boyish charms. I suddenly felt the urge to pinch his cheeks and so I did. I reached over and took both of his cheeks on either of my hands. “You’re so cute, Sehun-ah!” I cooed, laughing. I really felt good enough to be doing such silly things. “Yah! Stop it!” he protested, pulling my hands away from him. “You’re so annoying.” I sighed, still wearing my smile. “Am I?” I looked up at the ceiling, sniggering. I saw him looking at me. Somehow, it resembled the way Chan Yeol did during that little incident when we were studying. “What’s so funny?” he asked me. “Nothing. I just feel better,” I answered, snuggling close to him. I leaned my head sideways on his shoulder and I felt him wrap one arm around my waist. “So it doesn’t have anything to do with going out with Chan Yeol hyung?” He sounded cynical which made me laugh even more. “No, but what are you going to do if I decided to take him seriously?” I asked, looking at him from under my lashes. I waited for his answer, grinning like an idiot. I don’t know. I just felt happy. “It’s your choice. Why do you have to ask my opinion about it?” he said. I pouted. “Ha! Yeah right. You were acting all annoyed whenever he’s around. You made a big enough fuss when you told me that I shouldn’t be hanging out with him too much. I don’t believe you.” He smirked. “I was just worried about you. Don’t I get a thank you for that?” “No, you don’t and you didn’t answer my question.” “I did. You just didn’t like my response.” “Because you’re lying and you’re being insulting.” He shrugged. “Fine. I’ll try to separate you guys just to annoy you.” I laughed at him. “Why do you always have to agree with what I have to say?” “Tch. You agree with what I say more than I do. Remember that issue about smoking and being such a trouble maker? You stopped smoking entirely and you don’t retaliate anymore.” That was funny. Little did he know that is still those things. “That’s what you think,” I answered him smugly, reaching over across the bed where I placed my clutch bag. I took out my snuffbox along with a cigarette lighter and waved it in front of his face. “I still smoke and my hand is like this because I tried to fight that ugly senior off.” He smirked. “It’s not like that before.” “That’s not the point,” I countered, returning my stuff inside my bag. “I plan to show Chan Yeol the real me today. I wonder how he would react.” I leaned against Sehun again. “Thank you,” I murmured against his neck, making him flinch. He tried to conceal his surprise by frowning at me. “For what?” “For being there…for being who you are.” He sighed. “I don’t think you’ll be too happy with me when you hear what I have to say.” “Yeah? Try me.” He pulled away, taking a pillow from the bed. He held it as a shield in front of me. “I talked to Chan Yeol hyung the other day after I found you in the girls’ lavatory.” I arched a brow at him. “And?” “I told him about what happened. I told him everything.” “What?” “I was trying to protect you,” he said seriously. There was no hint of playfulness in his tone anymore and that irritated me. “Protect me how? I told you not to tell him anything.” “He has to know so he’d know his position in this little game you’re playing with him.” I laughed in disbelief. “Game? Chan Yeol is my friend. I’m not going to play with him.” He mocked me with his eyes as he grinned. “Then why are you leading him on? I know you don’t have any feelings for him,” he said brusquely. I stood up from the bed. “He didn’t have to know. I was handling things just fine.” All of a sudden, he stood up and grabbed my hand. “Is this what fine management means? You’re being a martyr just because you pity him and don’t try to deny it. I saw through the both of you when you denied that you we
